Another incredible creation! The raven is fantastic. Can the same person win both categories?

This thing is terrifying! I wouldn't want to stumble across it in my travels of Nocturnus. The bottom rock is incredible. I am awed with how the grass/dirt angles downward off the rock in the first picture.

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion

I have to say I am loving all of these recent builds! I can't wait to leave my parent's house and return home so I can get back to my bricks. -
Awesome work! So many great details. I really like the chimney, especially the top. If I'm not mistaken, it looks to be made up of a barrel and upside palm tree bark piece. Great part usage.

This is my entry for Category B: Defensive Structure. Enjoy! After recruiting the Wolf Tribe to fight for Nocturnus, Rasmus and his Mitgardian friends began the return journey back to Nocturnus's capital, Abyssian. They spent days sneaking through the many swamp lands of Nocturnus, avoiding many Black Spire tratiors. Eleven days into their return journey they came across an abandoned tower situated on a high cliff. Knowing that Black Spire spies and armies used the swamp lands frequently, they began to bring in provisions and fortify the tower. They vowed no Black Spire traitors would pass the tower alive for as long as they defended the area. After 3 weeks, their vows hold true. They have taken down many enemy spies and after Rasmus's latest supply run, they have enough provisions to last six more months in the tower. Though news isn't all good, there are rumors that the enemy is gathering a large group to overtake the tower. Will this be the end for Rasmus and his men?

Oh man I agree with you about the purple, it looks great here! I know my Lego store has some purple tiles on its PAB wall, I will have to pick some up. I also love the leaning tower. Looks great!- 26 replies

5000 miles? And I thought the 4 years I spent in college being 300 miles from my bricks was bad.... -
Don't forget the round 1 x 1 tile! They are also pretty important since you can't create the round look with normal 1x1 square tiles.

That tower is just beautiful! I think one of the most difficult things about a round tower is finishing the top and your technique is just incredible. I might have to borrow your design on my next round tower if you don't mind! I also love the vine and the skull above the door. Overall the tower just screams Black Spire. Incredible!

Thanks! I assume you are talking about how the tower leans? Here is a quick picture I took the other day showing the interior of the tower: I would create a three brick high cylinder (smallest that actually held anything together), and on top I would use tiles plus two jumper plates, both facing into the tower. Then the next layer would attach to the two jumper plates. I used a 2 x 2 corner piece to attach to the jumper plate on the far side.

Awesome! I love the backboard behind the bed.

Great work, you really captured the feel of the Elder Scrolls! I also love the roof and use of the ship hulls.

I'm glad everyone loves the tower. I was very happy with how the leaning effect turned out. Unfortunately, I study chemical engineering, so I clearly I know nothing about supports and trusses and such.

Your builds remind me of my first Castle lego sets, I love them. I would totally go down to the ale cart for a drink or eight!

Looks amazing! I love the roof technique, it's beautiful, and the flowing lava looks incredible, especially when lit. Team Black Spire better watch out! Nocturnus all the way!

I ordered it from TRU yesterday, as they had it the same price as the Lego store plus 15% off. Let's hope it gets here soon! -

Looking good! I'm liking the snow drifts using the rounded bricks, I'm going to need to make a BL order and get a bunch of those. Also your building area looks very clean. When I build there are hundreds of bags of pieces everywhere. -
Awesome work, this MOC just screams Mitgardia. The figure with the ice axes fighting the fire-demon thing looks great.
-
Awesome! I love the work in progress look and the winch on the left side is designed wonderfully.

The Settlers go to Historica – Part VII: Goldsmelter
janatale replied to Yooha's topic in Guilds of Historica
I love the flowing molten gold and the tower roof is great. I find doing round roofs one of the hardest things in Lego. great work! -
Looks great, I love the colors, and the use of the green plastic that the plants come attached to as vines. (no idea if those have a name)
