  1. The sand storm hit us pretty bad. We were caught out in the open, and with everything full of sand, not much was working. We managed to get a single local speeder cleaned and started. I was send towards a nearby farm we had spotted earlier to see if they would be able to radio for help. In a rocky area on the way I accidently ran in to an imperial FWAT (Four Wheeled Armored Transport). Since I was out of uniform I figured I would approach them, claiming to be a local farmer on the lookout for stranded droids in the storm, instead of risking they would set after me if it looked as though I was avoiding them. They had also been caught out in sand storm, and while trying to head for cover, the FWAT-pilot had hit a large rock formation damaging one of the wheels (Dammit I could just have gotten away clean). Their astromech was almost done with the repairs so luckily their were not interested in my speeder. I pointed them in the direction of my imaginary farm and promised them I would provide them with shelter and food for the night, and sped off, making sure I was well out of their reach before I turned away towards my original destination. Old version here Old version here The Speeder The FWAT - Four Wheeled Armoured Transport Cockpit open Front View Rear View With the hatch open Luckily I had all the three sets (and the extra rebel-set, but I forgot about that when sorting the parts). The only extra parts used are the base plate, the four wheels, the four two storm troopers (maybe the others are hiding inside the FWAT), their astromech and my goggles. (If you want to nit pick, my sigfig is out of uniform, and that could maybe count as extra pieces). It was fun to be somewhat limited in part selection, but I think the actual challenge here is to limit yourself, and not pile the bricks on. just because you haven't used them yet

    Legends of Chima 2015

I found 70222, 70223 and the Bear and lion Army builders set at Kvickly(Coop) here In Denmark yesterday.
  3. According to wookiepedia "Bothans (pronounced /'bɑθɪn/) were furry mammalian anthropoids, about 1.5 meters tall" That makes them short In my book - even compared to Luke skywalker :)
  4. I was also thinking chima-lion head with hobbit/yoda legs
  5. Of course you should share. It's not LEGO if you don't. The halls of LEGO buildings are literally filled with images containing the slogan "joy of building pride of creation" :)
  6. Hi all - I've mostly been hanging around the SW-forum, but decided to build a delivery truck for work - I work at the largest chain of builders merchants in Denmark, and wanted to display some LEGO in my office. Posed view Side view Rear view And Head on The front wheels turn, and is connected to the steering wheel inside the cab. Here is a small pic of an actual truck for reference Now I can't take all the credit for this build - I was heavily inspired by Lasse D and his Scaniafor the cab/front of the truck. I'm building a City-scale version to display next to it.
  7. We came in on the first wave on an old Yf-1300 freighter surprising the unsuspecting imperial forces, posing as a simple delivery vessel. We landed as close to the detention blocks as possible.Once inside we shot our way to the prisoners and Quickly dealt With the guards. More pictures added With flash
  8. Just finished the City-scale version
  9. I have no idea what you're talking about :) I have to agree with you on the height - sounds like a rebuild at one point :)
  10. I just meant that everyone's lava seems to be inspired by the INFERNO build.
  11. Finally I came near a PC again. I have upated the original post to include the picture instead of the iframe. I have also added a few more pictures from my flickrstream of the build. My thougts for this build was originally to do something with lava (as most orther builds who were inspired by the awesome INFERNO build) http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=93051 But when I researched detention blocks and imperial garrisons I learned that the empire used the same mobile garrrisons all over the system, so it made sense to do it generic on the insides, instead of including a lot of rock work and lava. Oh - and thank you for the comments - I'll try to add a few more pictures, of the back and underside.
  12. Useless apple crap. I'll edit the pictures once I get to a PC later today.
  13. Oh I'm all for improving to ScottishDave's 1.2 version, I just accidently dived head first into v 1.0 :)
  14. I finally pieced this thing together about a week ago - what a fun little anoying build :) And now I have gotten around to take a couple of quick pictures of it. This is my version 1.0 (made from v 1.0 of the LXF). Over the easter holidays I will try to change the colorscheme to include more reddish brown. Right now it is more or less strictly light and dark grey - it was the only way I could make sure I build something from the start that looked the part. I even build a nice little stand for it :) Curtisy of my four-year-old the pilot is an orange clone trooper. It's not the sturdiest build, but sturdier than the UCS version (I had a change to build that at one point, but don't own it)

    Tribute to Exo-Force

No matter how hard you try the human brain will try to put it into context http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareidolia :)

    Tribute to Exo-Force

They both look like transformed versions of an Apache Helicoptor and an A-10 Warthog - so I would say the first one should be named "The Apache" and the second one "The Warthog"
  17. So here is my entry for Episode 3. It took up all of my white plate bricks - anything from 6*12 to 1x1 :) I just got the wife the Winter village Cottage and Market sets, and those two are crawling with large white base plates, but couldn't use those - oh no, not during the holidays :) _______________________________________________ When the imperials attacked Echo base no one thought to check the princess's royal quarters. Every''one was too busy keeping the imperial scum at bay for long enough for everyone to escape safely. According to the orders we were given some very secret plans were stored inside the princess's wedding chest, and it was imperative that this was retrieved before the imperial troops would get to them and probably ransac the place. The royal chambers were placed somewhat away from the main part of the base, and it was suspected that the imperial forces wouldn't know of the whereabouts of the base before they hacked through most of the computers. When we got to the royal chambers, it was obvious that they had suffered in the snow, the corridors where blocked with snow and ice, and we would have to dig our way through to find the princess' wedding chest. Bringing a shovel to Hoth is like bringing a spoon to a blasterfight, we had to use pick axes and a snowdrill to get through to the chest. We had intercepted a message leaving Hoth base that the imperial troops had learned the location of the royal chambers and would look for it tomorrow. While the others where digging my job was to keeo a lookout for anything suspicious above ground. What I saw gave me a sudden chill and made me rush back to the others to cool it with the digging or we would be made for sure. Those AT-ATs are not to be messed with. Thank god it was a blizzard outside or they would have made out the backup generator for the royal chambers or the entrance hatch easily. Why were they out in such weather, and why were they carrying a chainsaw and an axe? Playing some sort of real life version of Doom versus Wampas? I know this place is like a wintery hell, but still that sounds to messed up for imperial storm troopers. ____________________ The AT-AT from the front. I was building this out of the remnants of my grey parts just when EP III, came out so I just had to use it. Rear Shot (seems obvious what those tools where for :) ) The Binocular shot without photoshop (Paint.Net) The backup generator seen through the legs of the AT-AT And by it self A shot down the corridor towards the ladder and the hatch (Feels like Vader is about to enter) A shot of the base without the AT-AT and minifigs. just for reference. Hope you enjoyed the show :)

Imperial Hallway Vignette WIP - My first MOC

You will join the rebel against the evil empire (Waves hand)
  19. These all look awesome! I'm slowly starting to count the pieces to do a grey, dark grey, brown version of this. Sort of a Steampunk colortheme. (although I would prefer to do a grey/dark red or grey/dark green version - or grey/dark blue :)

SoNE Contest Episode IV: Secrets of the Empire

One question, Can you do a large build combining two Sectors, or can you only get score for one sector?
  23. Yes yes - as I said probably illegal - only the emperor would actually consider making a clone army :) But I'm more interested in hearing arguments against going for the 3 out 5 strategy to increase the variety of builds
  24. Kaitan I have had the exact same ideas as you. Both that we should limit ourselves to just 3 locations and wait to post the builds until the deadline. The downside of late posting could be deadline extension and/or late rule changes due to few posts which could then hurt the strategy. Another - probably not legal and definitely unfair - approach would be to create extra profiles and just post a boat load of fast LDD builds, since 1 build = 1 point Chances are that since at least two rebels have had the same ideas, the imps would have thought of it as well. Maybe we are going to have a stand off with very late posts from both sides.

    Hyperion Tank

I would say, it doesn't really look like an official M-tron set from TLG - it is sort of missing some transparent green. But that aside, it looks great. Seriously huge, a great control centre and I'm really digging the droid!
