Is it worth spending the money on sealed MVR/MMV?

MMV is a better set than MVR by far. Take out the goats and it is not even close.

    Storage and Sorting LEGO

I have found that Sterilite 2093 - Wide 3 Drawer Unit White 20938003 with Brightroom 6pc Plastic Drawer Organizer Clear inside work well. Both can be found at Target, but currently are out of stock online.

Is it worth spending the money on sealed MVR/MMV?

I have 2 sealed MMV and I have not considered the brittle brown breakage issue. I just pulled out my used set and rebuilt it a few months back. I did have four pieces break. All brown.

How do you display your castles?

Left 6080: King's Castle 10193: Medieval Market Village 6074: Black Falcon's Fortress Center 7189: Mill Village Raid 910001: Castle in the Forest An in progress MOC BL19001: Löwenstein Castle 7946: King's Castle 70404: King's Castle Right 7093: Skeleton Tower 31120: Medieval Castle - This has since been replaced with MOC - Black Falcon Knight's Castle. Löwenstein Expansion on Rebrickable - It looks like instructions are no longer available for this MOC. Given his latest work for a LEGO competitor, I am not surprised. The BL19001: Löwenstein Castle and Löwenstein Expansion on Rebrickable go together, but as one they do not fit in a single cubbie.

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set

You will have to split it in two and open it up to display it on a shallow shelf.

I agree. This castle does not at all (maybe with exception to the lion knight prints) bring out any nastalja.

How do you display your castles?

I have chosen to have very limited display space in my home dedicated to LEGO and up until just this year this space was dedicated exclusively to modular buildings (see signature). However, the release of Löwenstein Castle and the Castle in the Forest, inspired some change. Since this photo I have added Black Falcon Knight's Castle by Madewithbrix I was happy to discover that 10305 splits in half, fitting in two of my 15"x15" (1 and 1/2 standard baseplates wide) cubbies. I typically do not buy sets that don't fit in my current display cubbie.

I have built most of the exterior of 10305 Lion Knights Castle with digital help from @Aanchir. I wanted to give you all an update with a few comparison shots. I very much enjoyed the build. I think it may be in my top 10 when I build the real thing. I don't see that piece anywhere in 10305. I have enough of them already!

We keep the loose Lego in a 10x14 foot corner in the basement (the area I took the picture, also below). There is also a 10x10 storage behind the double doors that holds sealed and used sets along with unsorted tubs. It is work to keep it contained, but it works. I also sell at the same (mostly) pace I buy, that also help keep it under control. After 12 hours of on and off building; I have enough of it to hold me over until August.

I started to build this with digital assistance from @Aanchir. It is not going to stand up the height of the rebrickable mock by Madewithbrix. ...but compared to anything in the official Castle line... An update comparison with The Castle in the Forest. And a comparison with Löwenstein Castle.

I will be widening the gatehouse a few bricks. Which also means widening the wall on the right.

If they did re-introduces the goat, it would no longer be the GOAT of lego animals, and we would no longer care. We are finicky fans.

Castle in the Forest is the latest to have a shield with a sticker. But this is a bricklink set and has a precedence of no new printed elements. However, the printed shields are available in the Forest Hideout, too bad they could not have included them in the Castle in the Forest. Winner! Why is this topic taboo? Can't we discuss things as adults without getting censored and or slapped?
