Has anyone seen the jet trooper polybag in stores in the U.S. yet? I've checked Target several times with no luck.

[quote name='Aanchir EDIT: Just discovered that the latest catalog lists an Alien Conquest Battle Pack as item 853301. It contains both types of Alien Trooper, two ADU soldiers, and the businessman from the tripod set. Not sure if it is or isn't made in China, but I'd assume it is, so let's not start the Chinese plastic debate here until someone owns the battle pack and can tell us whether or not it shares the quality issues that the occasional Chinese-made products have had. It appears that this battlepack is currently not available in the U.S., I checked shop at home and it's not listed yet. Hopefully it will show up when the sets start appearing in stores.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
ttoole73 replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I'm both excited and terrified about more series. -
Your folder is set to private, I can't view the pics.

Definately cannot wait for August. That alien cyborg is pure genius.

---Vertea--- Also, I'm curious about the autopsy features.... lego organs would be neat. When you say autopsy feature are you referring to the Earth Defense HQ, or another set. I must've missed that.

I' m hoping that the blue they use will be more like the color of the vehicles. But if they do stay the same, I hope TLG adds some black or dark gray to them, to break up ALL that blue. I also hope the sets sell well enough to warrant a second wave. I think this theme holds alot of potential, and would hate for it to end after the first series of sets.

I really like your design. It looks sleek and menacing.

Well there goes my budget for 2011. This theme has got me really excited, and should integrate nicely with my SP3 sets. The only problem now is waiting for pics of wave 2.
-
I really hope this turns out to be true. I was really hoping for a new Sci-Fi space theme in 2011(after they discontinued SP III )
-
This theme looks to have alot of potential. I hope it sticks around awhile. Gonna take some time to build an army of undead mummies.

While I'm still holding out hope for SP III to continue in some form by the summer ,(prays hard), if it doesn't, then I would love to have another brand new futuristic style theme take it's place. By reading some of the posts through the various threads, I'm seeing alot of folks asking for some type of civilian based group, and I'm totally good with that. After all, my cops need someone to protect besides themselves.

I don't think they're pushing out too many liscensed sets. I think the problem with some of the current lineup is that it just doesn't have the mass appeal like Star Wars or Indiana Jones. I would wager that if you replaced PoP, Toy Story, or Ben 10 with a property that spans several decades, like Star Wars or Indiana Jones, that sales would probably shoot up. Having said that, I still think that TLG should always try out a new property, because you never really know when something is going to take off and appeal to a wider audience.

I love the SP3 line, and if this is the last year for it, then so be it. Like others I do hope that TLG gives us space folks something to take its place. I'm really liking the idea of a space civilian theme, I think it would do well.

That's a very nice design. I really like the the overall look.
