Well, I for one loved Rock Raiders. I had most of the sets (didn't have the HQ sadly) and recently pickesd up the Chrome Crusher and Rapid River sets for a bargain £7 after dismantling my first copies. RR was one of my first lines that I can remember really taking a shine to (excluding Harry Potter, back when the sets weren't too outrageously expensive and Star Wars). Bring on Power Miners! TK

I wouldn't mind seeing some Hoth Battle Packs or a droid BP with Droidekas and Magna Guards. Also a SW Accessory Pack - £3.99 or so for red/blue/green lightsabers, blasters, maybe a couple of helmets, other assorted weapons, capes, hoods, etc. TK

I think you're all forgetting something here: if it's on Wikipedia, it must be true! TK

I saw this too, IIRC it said it would take 35-40 hours to build... That seems rather unlikely. The new RGS has about 6x less peices, and that took 5 hours for me (I'm slow like that) so it might not be far off, but I guess finding that one piece among 5,922 might cause some delay TK

Works fine, Bonaparte, thanks TK

I'm game for this. I'm not bad at writing the review itself, but I could do with some help on the technical side of things and decent picture taking etc. Count me in. TK

What game are we playing at the moment?
The Kid replied to Mr Hobbles's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Still playing Call of Duty 4 and Guitar Hero III (also pre-ordered Guitar Hero: World Tour and received a free bass ). Also playing the Force Unleashed demo. TK -
Just finished playing through the demo (a 1.4gb download!). In a word: epic. The gameplay is stunning, and you can pretty much chuck anything at anything else and watch the fireworks. For example, two TIE Fighters were closing in on me so I picked up a crate, flung it into the air and took out one. The ensuing explosion took out the other. A third came at me, so I bent a piece of steel structure outwards, and it flew into it. The demo itself put you on an Imperial Star Destroyer that is under attack by General Rahm Kota, a Jedi. After a brief opening cut-scene which is nothing we haven't seen in trailers (apart from when Vader gives you the mission), we are shown the Rogue Shadow landing in the hangar of said ISD. Then you move through the ISD, taking out Kota's men and Stormtroopers alike. The demo ends when you destroy an AT-ST by slicing it in half. Down the middle. Sadly, we never get to meet Kota, but that can be forgiven when the gameplay is so frakkin' awesome. It all just feels so right; the lightsaber fighting, the force powers. The controls are slightly fiddly at first, but you get the hang of them quickly. Oh, and the graphics and sound are brilliant as usual. Also, we are shown a new trailer at the end of the demo. Demo score: 10/10

The farm sets don't impress me The farm itself is very <insert that tiresome argument> with large pieces. The combine harvester is obviously good, just for being a combine harvester "Oh I've got a brand new Combine Harvester and I'll give you the key, So come on let's all get together in perfect harmony Oh I've got twenty acres, and you've got fourty-three Oh I've got a brand new Combine Harvester and I'll give you the key." The construction sets are pretty good. I like the largest one, with the 'shop' being built (have we had a construction set in the past 8 years that has actually been building something?). The smaller ones are okay. City Life looks great, however, and will be a good addition to my GG/MS layout. TK

Well, eight pages later, I've finally scraped through the door and found myself at the raffle thread, long after the whole of EB has signed up. Either way, count me in, por favor. TK

This list sounds fantastic (perhaps almost too good to be true, but I'm hoping)! I never got the original AAT and the rumoured figs for this edition sound brilliant too. The BPs will undoubtedly be £9 each so I can stock up on them And I can hopefully grab some of the other smaller sets in Florida at Christmas on the cheap, should they be released early. Now, to steal Jameseh's idea: List Removed Sorry, Jameseh TK

I got the original version of this set with the LULS Mace Windu figure. When TLC released the non-LULS version I managed to swap - they sent me the new version (and a Clone Trooper IIRC) and I mailed them back the old version. This was a great set; the suspension worked great and it rolled magnificently. Nice review with good photos, but again your price is a little off: £69.99 is the RRP (unless the price you paid was £80). TK

7255 General Greivous Wheel bike chase review
The Kid replied to Skipper 24's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I had this set (£15 RRP actually ;-)) and agree mostly with your review, although on the wheel bike itself two legs can be placed at the front end and two at the back to enable it to 'roll' properly. Boga is very <insert that tiresome argument>, and the set itself is very simple and contains many large pieces. The minifigures are good though (I traded my GG however ). Just to offer my personal thoughts; Build: 5/10 Minifigs: 10/10 Parts: 3/10 Price: 7/10 Playability: 10/10 Overall 7/10 -- (not an average) TK -
This week: 7676 Republic Attack Gunship 7681 Separatist Spider Droid and the policeman Impulse set for 50p off. TK
-
I know what you mean. I blew £50 over the weekend and have been working my megablocks off all day to get the money back so I can afford the RGS. TK
-
I'd go for the RGS. Bigger, better figs, and the AT-TE is almost skeletal under the panels. Just a few chairs. TK

It has been announced that the new Metallica album will debut simultaneously in stores and as DLC for Guitar Hero IV TK

£35 in the UK (at Woolworths, where there are occasional markups - the SI was £35 instead of £25), so probably about $40. TK

Well this is a major sack of crap. Thank LEGO... thanks a bunch. TK

Doctor Who, Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures...
The Kid replied to The Kid's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Why oh why do people only die metaphorically in these damn shows?? TK -
A new Clone BP sounds likely, as the current one was on sale and is now sold out on US Shop at Home. Looks like they were getting rid of excess stock to make room for a new pack TK

What 08 sets will you buy? Or not buy? Why so?
The Kid replied to Justin2224's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Most likely the AT-TE and RGS from the first wave. The V19 maybe, depending on price. HSD and Fighter Tank are definite wants. Twilight looks like crap, and the MagnaGuard fighter looks weird. The DGS I want, but it's at the bottom of the list. I'll have to get the DS next year, but at £200 it looks more reasonable. TK -
Maybe the CW sets will be more reasonable too... £60 RGS and £45 AT-TE, anyone? TK
