Can't you return it with the receipt

Three months is SDCC, so it's likely we'll see a set reveal of sort. Some of us think it will be Erebor.

    [WIP] Tintin Minifigures

Nice! Looking forward to seeing the finished figs.
  4. I'm looking for the nougat spike pieces you can find in this set, and it doesn't appear to be in LDD. I can't even locate it on Peeron and it's missing from Brickset's part inventory for the set. So that is one part I would like.

Since it doesn't seem to have been mentioned, here are some screen caps from the bonus level. There might be a better quality video somewhere. Dol Guldur Rhosgobel Beorn's house Thranduil's realm Lake-town Dale Erebor Even though they're miniscale they're interesting, particularly Dale, Erebor, and Dol Guldur.

It's not at the top of my list, I just thought it would be cool. Glamdring and Orcrist had their chances and I doubt we'll ever see them made. We might still get Hadhafang though, and for that I also hope.

I unlocked the Witch-King in the game and he looks great. I hope we get a new mold for his Morgul blade.

Erebor makes the most sense since it presumably is based on scenes from DOS.

Yeah I don't think this guy would appreciate one of these to the eye: It does look okay though. A simple but effective design.

I thought it was funny how the black arrow in the game is a flick fire missile with a spike on the end. I wouldn't be surprised if that's how it turns out in the set. It would be cool to get one designed for the new spring loaded launchers.

I think it's a deleted scene from DOS where Beorn goes to investigate at Dol Guldur.

I didn't get any DLC with my PS3 game.

I noticed that too. That's why I think it's a design made just for the game. Okay, I may be wrong but as far as I can tell he has the same mace in the film as in the promo pictures of old design Bolg. And I agree with you about that version of Bolg not appearing in a set. It just doesn't quite live up to the standards of other Hobbit minifigs.

Remember we are talking about a $60 set ($85 CAD!), not a $30 one. If it turns out to be a main character heavy set, 6 (Like Dol Guldur) makes sense. (Dain, Thranduil, Thorin, Azog etc.) But if it's an army builder like Mirkwood Army on a larger scale I can imagine 9 figs would make more sense, a 50% increase from non army builder sets at that price point. I hope you kinda see what I'm saying.

I think 9 figs is reasonable, so I'd want: Dain, Bolg, Dwarf x2, Elf x2, Lake-Towner, Orc x2. Now how many sets I'll buy, I don't know. 85 bucks is steep for an army builder. Btw I compiled lots of pics of Bolg from the game so you can see his back printing and whatnot. I think i'm starting to like him. I noticed he has boot printing. And his mace design is really cool, good thinking using Ninjago pieces. Though I suppose we'll end up getting something cruddy like Azog's big black club. I honestly think he's a good fig on his own, but not when compared to Azog.

    LEGO The Hobbit Videogame

While I've been having fun, I've encountered so many bugs (PS3 version) in the first 10 levels alone that it makes me think the game was rushed. These are especially present in two-player mode, but not exclusive to it. On the first level Thorin got stuck behind the door in the mining area. I've seen lots of floating objects and graphical errors. I had to restart the Gollum level because Bilbo wouldn't launch from the catapult. In the Mirkwood level every time Bilbo died wearing the Ring, he would respawn still wearing the Ring but the spiders could see me, so I would have to take the ring off and put it back on again for it to work correctly. I'm not pretending Lego games are free of glitches but I had little trouble with Lego LOTR, so I'm surprised.

I stumbled across this photo by Flickr user erlangshen. While it's custom, It gives us a good idea what Elrond's hairpiece in yellow would look like. Personally I hope TLG uses tan regardless of what hair piece they use. Just think what Thranduil's hairpiece would have looked like in yellow..

I don't even know what you guys are arguing about. But here are some pics: The head is actually swapped from my other Bilbo, the one that came with this had atrocious eye printing. I have to say I didn't expect the torso to be in dark orange, but it's a nice color choice. The torso and arm printing looks terrific and has fancy metallic printing in places. All in all a great fig!

Yeah on his back. They just don't look right IMO. I just thought you'd want pictures because we haven't seen back printing or even what it looks like in the flesh...plastic?

Armored versions would definitely be a lot cooler. I wish we could get both though. But I'm going to go for armored because i'm looking forward to MOCing BOFA. Everytime I think about that I'm bummed we aren't getting a $30 Dwarf army builder.. I can hardly see myself buying multiples of an $85 BOFA set with two or three iron hill dwarves at most each. Smaug looks great but I'm worried about those black horns. I'm going to get my game today, would anyone like me to take pics of Bilbo?

    LEGO Hobbit 2014

Too bad lake town Thorin doesn't seem to be in the game. I mean this version, the brown robe and blue/red undershirts. That would make a great fig. I was hoping we'd get that in Erebor.

I agree with you completely. After looking at Bolg for a while, I think these are the things that make him unappealing to me. - The red chin is too jarring. If it's necessary to have it, I'd definitely make it dark tan so it blends better with the skin. - He's missing the parched lips from the film; just some tan lines above the mouth would look great. - His eyes need to be spaced further apart - His right eye sorely needs a black pupil - His helmet is too big. in the film it looks like part of his head, here it sticks out too much. - Not sure if he needs eyebrows I'm positive Bolg would greatly benefit from a molded head piece, that way you can get the misshaped head, a proper printed helmet, and hair printing like Gollum. Another idea is to give him long arms like Woody. In the film I kept thinking how long they looked compared to his legs. Might be a bad idea but that's what I think.

Bain looks like crap. There's no way they'd put that in a set. I hope.

Okay I can't say I really like that Bolg. I think a molded head that fits over the orc shoulder pads would look a whole lot better. Maybe he looks like that because the folks at TLG didn't have enough time to finish his design in time for the game. Other than the weird head though the printing looks really great. Again, he looks good in white but it would looks so weird with tan Azog.
