Wow, didn't notice that one.

LEGO seems to have done away with the small $13 sets, I thought they didn't sell well? $25 set would be more likely IMO. That is a fantastic idea that I hadn't thought of. Some parts of ruined Dale would make a great set. If you're thinking Helm's deep size though, there should only be 8 figs.
-
I think it's very likely we will only get four or five sets next wave, and maybe a $200 Smaug set if we're lucky. Something like this: $25 set with a main character (Bard, Legolas, Tauriel, etc), and two Orcs. $35 Erebor Defense - Dain, Dwarf soldier x3, Orc x2, Warg $70 Dol Guldur Rescue - Galadriel, Elrond, Gandalf, Sauron, Witch-King? $130 Erebor Battle - Thorin, Beorn, Azog, Bolg, Orc x2, Thranduil, Bilbo, Eagle.

The amount of votes a project gets on CUUSOO does not determine whether or not a project is well designed. CUUSOO is about sharing the idea of the set, the final model would have very little to do with the concept one. But instead of saying how Nuju Metru's model is 'crap' all around, express why you dislike it and what could be changed without boosting the price range by hundreds of dollars. A $500 Minas Tirith is NEVER going to happen.
-
What is your problem? Instead of being extremely rude and disrespectful, if you want an accurate Minas Tirith i suggest you build your own and submit it to CUUSOO.

Not necessarily. We first got the elven blade with pre-order Elrond. How does that work? Was it designed for the Council of Elrond set?

Yeah, we should hear about it in January. I hope we get a new version of Bilbo, as silly as that sounds. Either a gray haired version or in his blue Lake-Town robe, that would be cool.

I agree. I was expecting DGB for christmas but what I wasn't expecting was a really really cool set. I was most excited for the figs but I really enjoyed the build. I even put all the stickers on. Precisely what I was thinking, and I'm pretty sure we'll see something like that with the next wave. Though we might get another Saruman, since he's supposed to get a lot of action in TABA.

Would LEGO have already designed a Bolg fig before his design was changed? I think they could just rename the figure and still use it. Games Workshop did this:

Middle-Earth Madness - Rohan Battle Pack vs The Green Dragon [Week 1]
Floundie replied to Blakstone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Green dragon is a bit obscure and not iconic enough. I'd rather have Prancing pony. Thus, Rohan battle pack for sure. -
Alright, so I finally got to see DOS, and honestly I have mixed feelings about it. It's really sad how much CGI was used in this movie, that was a really big letdown for me. Sometimes there was no reason why the story should stray from the book so much. The love triangle was bad and added nothing to the plot. As soon as I saw the big Jell-O dwarf statue I wanted to burst out laughing. I think that last sequence between the dwarves and Smaug could have worked, if only it was toned down a little. Too drawn-out and too over-the-top, and overall it detracted from my enjoyment of the movie. About the soundtrack, I think it's really great. Smaug's theme is excellent.

That looks awesome! I still think they're gonna fit TABA in there yet, as DLC or a patch. It is LEGO The Hobbit after all, not LEGO The Hobbit: Part 1.

Another huge Rivendell MOC (theonering)
Floundie replied to SheepEater's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Oh wow where do I even start? And the lighting really looks great. -
(Gimp.) I don't think we'll ever see old bilbo in a set though, maybe a visual dictionary or game pre-order exclusive.
-
The list was fake, trust me. There was nothing credible about it from the start. If there's another wave coming up, we'll be sure to see pictures at Toy Fair in February(?). This is Future LOTR talk though.

I made it.. not real, sorry. But if they based his fig on the design in the video game, that's what we'd get.

You mean you wouldn't want... THIS? ('shopped)

9476 The Orc Forge availability - still at retail anywhere?
Floundie replied to Blondie-Wan's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I have local toy store that deals with LEGO and other building brands, they carry a lot of hard to find items including the orc forge. But I think I've only ever seen it elsewhere at TRU. -
Fixed original post, my mistake, when you said classic style I thought you meant pupil-less. Glad I could help!
-
I'm pretty positive the list was fake. I thought it came out at the same time as that Simpsons set list, but maybe I'm wrong.

Hey Fives, I decided to attempt your requests. You didn't mention any specific skin tone, so I assumed you wanted them to be good ol' yellows; if not, I can easily fleshify them. So, sorry if things don't line up perfectly, and here we go! Philip DeFranco: Joe: Lee: Elliott: Steve (fixed): Meg: Trisha, if her busom isn't ample enough, let me know. And Ross: If I did anything wrong, let me know and I hope this helps you out!

^ December 17th, to be exact. That's a cool video. It's certainly interesting to see the molded Goblin head piece they scrapped.
