  1. I like the pattern you've build into the sides of the train.

    Does it have an interior?

Not at this stage. I am thinking about doing some small changes to the wagons.

After that I will put in interior

  2. Ack! That's really well done, it can come apart I hope :-P I love the idea of posters to break up the monotony. It actually reminds me a lot of train tresses, is this planned to just be a wall?

Yes it does come apart ;-)

Here is just one section (in total there will be 30)

    And from the side

  3. I have to say, though, that I am bothered by the (few) bad quality parts. This is getting worse and worse. Look at the glasses, that's horrible :-X I resent spending about 130-140 Euro on that.

I'm building 8289 at the moment and I have discolorations there, too. Not too many but they're there. They're everywhere. I haven't bought a set in the last 18 months where this wasn't the case. This is poor quality management. Period. I don't care what it looks like, I know that there's discolored or bad quality parts in it and I'll always know...

If I see more pictures with quality concerns turn up I'll think twice about buying it, at least at full price...

This is really becoming a nuisance >:-(

But did you ever complain to LEGO?

  4. Somehow I feared so, and it isn't really a surprise... you're the first to say so, though, sorry to hear that :-(

Since I won't buy it before the EB event I'll wait what dunamis has to say in his review.

I did see two set with the same problem :'-(

And I did call LEGO Direct today. They are investigating. But it seemed that I was the first one to call about the color problem.

If you have bad colors - Call LEGO - They will never improve unless we complain!

And since this is clearly an AFOL set - We have to take a stand!

  5. Looking forward to buying this? Don't!

I've just build mine and it is a very nice house, but......

The quallity of the brick is just not accepteble. Colors are not even close.

I've got 2-3 shades of tan.

I've got 2-3 shades of brown

and 4-5 shades of grey :-X

I is clearly an issue with the different bricksizes but also bricks of the same size has this problem. :-X

Is color quality really becomming this bad. :'-(

  6. You would need all six ;-)

Look closely. There are six times second floor *y*

And the bricks for that are only on the second floor !!

But of couse that leaves you with four times first and third floor leftovers :'-(
