Last year's Valentine's set (Mailbox) was indeed nice! I wish I would have purchased 4 This year's Ice Cream Cart is nice too, and it gives Friends fans additional pieces they may not have otherwise. I enjoyed building mine yesterday Thanks for the review.

No doubt this will make Bronies happy, or some other MLP fans

OK, thanks Dave I've never done that before -- yet have seen it done and as long as tracks aren't too tricky, the train will still run along smoothly. I guess using a headlight will be out though

As long as there are plenty of 'snow days' The interior classroom details are spot-on! Best of luck!

How can I make a reservation to stay at the Lodge? Great idea & great build, as I can totally see it in a Winter Village! My favorite (at first viewing) is the frozen fountain Best of luck!

So glad you did find the time for this review, Pandora! As is standard, your photos are great and review details enlightening. It's always nice you add that inter-action concept at the end which makes me look forward to MOCing with this set even more! Thanks. Doesn't Joanna's hair piece look similar to the new female Engineer in the Horizon Express set?

It's great to see a fully-snow-covered roof (I think I was the only entry like that last year ) and your tile row as jagged is nice. The interior is very detailed for such a tight spot, which is not easy to do, we all know! Love the glass-front frig/cooler Best of luck!

My favorite areas are the green roof with the snow drift shadowed by the chimney, snow drifts near the door, the brass footrail and the chairs Best of Luck to you!

Hi Trijntje, During the SoF this is one of the entries I voted for Just wanted you to know: Plus, I hope since the new LEGO Horizon Express Train has a female Engineer, we'll get more train builds from female fans too!
-
Very neat idea! We already spend so much on LEGO bricks It's hard to make room for all the fun gear & apparel items too. Great solution!

Like I already said on Flickr -- great MOC! Also reminds me of how much we need a sequel (one of they very few movies which could use a sequel, instead of the 2nd & 3rd of some less-inspiring flicks, if you know what I mean), because I often wonder about those robot parts making their way back to each other via that signal on his head Best of luck in the contest!

The Friends Bricks Blog has the images for the Series 2 Animal packs: Hedgehog Hideaway and Poodle's Little Palace. One set has a pitchfork! Yay, I need one

The station says they are doing a follow-up. I hope they get someone more informed about LEGO than Peggy O -- here is that original "not much building" comment interview on the YouTube channel of that KCET station Where it's easier to access than the station's web site. Also, it amazes me she doesn't seem to comprehend that if the study she cited about "girls without older brothers have less spatial skills" is true -- well, LEGO Friends is certainly going to close a healthy gap in that equation. It's sad to think how she disses the girls who choose LEGO Friends because they relate to the theme. I get it if some people don't like pink (which only comprises 10% of set pieces) or think some sets are too gender-pegging (even though loads of girls do like to go to salons), yet to ignore the benefit of spatial, technology, engineering & math skills gain by girls building these sets is just pure flippant ignorance.

B-OV-20E Welcome to Olivia's Woodshop! Welcome to Olivia's woodshop by LegoMyMamma, on Flickr Olivia is busy building something for a friend. Can you guess what it is? Olivia using a glue gun on the rocker by LegoMyMamma, on Flickr The blue bricks in Olivia's Inventor's Workshop set are a great color for an accent wall. The ruler from Emma's Design Studio comes in handy for the woodshop work table -- remember, measure twice, cut once! Olivia sitting on rocking chair she built by LegoMyMamma, on Flickr Olivia sits easily on the rocker she built. Olivia busy in her woodshop by LegoMyMamma, on Flickr Full side view of her wood-shop. (Photo added for clarification Jan 13) Olivia's woodshop - classic MiniFig head size comparison by LegoMyMamma, on Flickr These sets integrate so well with other System bricks ~ the wood-grain printed tiles help her Woodshop seem even more realistic. Gosh, that classic yellow MiniFig head is almost as big as she is While opening this set, I was first amazed at how small the mini-dolls are in real life. I love them. They are actually easier to MOC with for me. Although not having legs move reverse tandemly (like other MiniFigs), they are wee bit limited on placing onto a base plate diagonally. Oh, well, I will just tile my next floor For any anthropological interest: I open box, cut plastic bags, take out bricks I wanna touch first. Then (after getting to Olivia - who is so easy to put together and hold - not better or worse than classic figs - just a new option) I place all bricks & pieces in front of me. I build. Halfway through this build, I looked at instructions just to get all bricks/elements organized which the set-design used to create the vice-grip. Because, I fell in love with it upon first seeing this set. Thanks for visiting!

Your creation really made me smile and my first thought was of the TV show "I Love Lucy" and her shenanigans! Do you know what I mean??

SoF - Eurobricks Interview With The Friends Designers!
LegoMyMamma replied to Pandora's topic in LEGO Town
Great exclusive insight addition to SoF! At the end of the day, it is irrelevant whether girls influenced society or society (culture, parents, schools, products, etc.) influenced the girls -- what is crucial here is that more girls are building with LEGO bricks than ever before!
