Well done! I think that this MOC is very creative. Flame pieces to represent spilling punch? Brilliant! The only thing about this MOC that I dislike is the floor. The grid 1x2 plates don't seem to have a reason to be there, and the floor is far too stud-y. I suggest removing the grids and making the floor smooth for the most part, but with studded plates beneath the objects.

This sounds like some great holiday fun! Here's my entry! Sometimes, when good ole' Saint Nicholas is done delivering presents to good children around the world, he enjoys himself by driving his HyperSpeed Sled all around the Arctic tundra. The sled is equipped with dual electromagnetic radiation faster-than-light turbo engines which allow Santa to travel at Warp-8!

This is a great entry, but it could use many improvements. On the pictures, I agree with what previous comment-ers have said. You need to either get a better camera, or create a perfectly white paper / sheet background around the MOC, and then find a way to create "soft-light" with the lamps (Here is something for reference). On the MOC itself, I agree with what previous comment-ers have said. You might want to add some transparent blue or white 1x1 slopes to the water (or anything else that could represent waves), some tan slopes / curves around the island base to make it look more natural, some greenery, and some gray 1x1 slopes to the island base (to represent rocks).

Brilliantly well done, PE668 and ROBUKO!

Fantastic work! This MOC is absolutely a magnificent blast from the past! I love the immense amount of detail you put into this! I love; the gravel ramp, the highly detailed rock wall, the S.N.O.T red-bricks-sticking-out-of-the-wall technique, and the lovely red roof on the (storeroom?) However, there is one tiny little suggestion for this. I suggest for the fishes to be facing the inside of the barrels, because it seems more likely that they were dropped in the barrels in that position.

Ghost Train Entry Hi there! This is my entry for the Build a Ghost Train Building Challenge! I hope you enjoy it! Years ago, on Halloween night, the Lanternworth Locomotive was pulling the night train. The engineer wasn't happy about this; He wanted to go back home, but his boss wouldn't let him (for greedy reasons). It was a long and gloomy train ride .... UNTIL, all of a sudden, the train slipped on loose pumpkins that were laying on the tracks, and crashed into a nearby ravine. The train was lost for 30 years ..... Now, the ghost of the engineer in the newly transformed Jack 'O Lantern Locomotive is after the son of the engineer's boss!

I'd like to join this please! I've always liked the sci-fi horror concept of a creature that infects people, and the number of non-infect'eds whither away one-by-one. -
Bravo! I think this MOC has been built well and is very creative! I admire the S.N.O.T. shelf you built for the gold goblet, along with the highly detailed floorboards! I also find the dentistry shark on top to be quite amusing and unique. The only suggestion I have for this MOC is to replace the old brown 1x2 smooth plate with one in new brown (if one is available), as old brown with lots of new brown around it looks too clashy and sticks out far too much. Or, you could add more old brown to make it even.

Thank you very much for the compliment, and you're quite welcome for the tips!

Brilliantly stupendous work! I think that a pirate MOC that also represents the Classic Pirates community is absolutely fantastic! I like the Moderators' Avatars being featured in the MOC, along with how smooth the street and deck is! However, there are but a few suggestions for this MOC: *Separate barrels / crates for the different kinds of food. All of the fruit to go into one crate, for example. *Although the movie camera is part of the CP community, I think that it should be removed as movie cameras weren't around at the Golden Age of Piracy. *The skateboard should be removed as skateboards weren't around at the Golden Age of Piracy. Although, these are nothing but my opinions.

You're welcome! Glad to help!

Bravo! I think that this is a very unique and fabulously constructed MOC. I admire some of the techniques you used here, such as the use of a brown tube for the trunk of palm tree and the use of a green cape for grass. The MOC's backstory and the landscape of this MOC is also quite pleasant as well. The only thing I suggest is for the 1x2 plate with handle that is next to the barrel to be removed, as it seems to serve no purpose.

Well done! Fabulously built vignette! I admire the sandy dune, the pirate flag blowing in the tropical wind, and the palm tree! I find the water acceptable, but adding extra detail to it would be nice. Like say white plates between the blue water and sand to represent foam, or replace the blue plates with transparent blue plates. Also, since when did Brickbeard regrow his hand? He should have a hook. Unless, this was before 'ole cap'n Brickbeard lost his hand ....

Well done, I think this MOC has been professionally constructed! The interior of the building is nice and smooth like what you would see in a real life building, and the outside looks natural. Also, the concept of a pirate lass doing the limbo is excellent! I have one suggestion for this MOC, though. The old brown 2x2 round plate should be replaced with a new brown version of it. The old brown paddle is fine, but the old brown 2x2 round plate "competes" with the new brown barrel -- especially since they are both close up. Feel free to do this whenever you get the chance to do it.

I think the MOC and the background story of it is fabulous, and I like some of its detailed features such as the use of skeleton legs to hold up the safety bar (very clever) and the stream of water dripping down from the top of Pearch Rock. However, certain objects included in this MOC do not match the MOC's theme very well. The Sir Danju purple-with-yellow shield should be removed because it just does not look good there (although it would look good in a pirate captain's quarters or in a hallway of a Navy fort), and the propeller on top should be replaced with something else as the airplane wasn't invented at the time there were pirates. Also, I think you should add some more bricks at the very center of the rock itself; it seems as though the top of the rock is extremely unstable and could tumble over at any second.

Signed. LEGO has been bringing back old classics in new forms recently (Space Police 3, Power Miners, Aqua Raiders etc) and to bring back the western theme is a golden opportunity for LEGO!

Congratulations! You have constructed a beautiful and magnificent MOC that is incredibly detailed. I love what you did with the windows, the roof, the dock, the palm tree and the use of curved "fang" pieces for splashing water! Although, I have just one suggestion. I suggest for 1x1 transparent blue slopes to be added to the water below, non-SNOT water with few transparent bricks looks too solid in color to me. 1x1 Transparent blue slopes tend to be plentiful in most LEGO City sets, since 96% of LEGO City set line is of rescue vehicles.

Maybe the Ignika could fall into a vat of Energized Protodermis that was collected by the GBs during the Core War and placed inside the giant Mata-Nui prototype robot body for use as a power source? Then the Ignika would become the Ignika Nuva, which gives its user the power to shoot soul-like energy from the mask and into something else. Also, the Ignika Nuva would recharge its energy every 3-hours after use. How does that sound?

I think this is terrific and significantly pleasant MOC, and I think it is possible that this can obtain a place in the PTV 2 winning medium-scale MOC category! I truly admire the building structure, the Minifigure scene itself, and the hilarious joke about the 4 Juniors pirate not being invited for not being a REAL pirate Minifigure. One thing I would like to see, though, is for a hat feather to be added to the Governor's hat. However, that is just my opinion.

The second version looks absolutely magnificent! I admire the sophisticated techniques you used to construct the chandelier and windows! I also admire the checkered floor! My only dislike about this vignette is very tiny; I dislike the yellow gem being next to the pink gem, as the yellow gem is very bland in color. I would prefer a sapphire being next the the pink gem. Although, this one little suggestion is possible to do without.

Parrot's Perch Pub PTV2 Contest Entry -medium
Bricknave replied to ProducePrincess's topic in Pirate MOCs
Magnificent! The amount of detail that this MOC has is terrifically stunning! The rocky landscape, the palm-tree and the pub cabin are all so amazing! However, here are a few suggestions I think could improve this MOC: *The umbrella should be a bit bigger; as it doesn't appear to protect Brickbeard from the blazing sun very well. *The water could use a little more detail. Maybe add some more blue transparent plates and 1x1 slopes to it? -
The updated version of this vignette looks absolutely marvelous! The amount of detail is stunning! Although, I agree with what previous comments had said. There is too much tan on the pebble road. Otherwise, this MOC has a high chance of winning a place in the small department. No guarantees, but it is quite possible.
