Long ago this pitiful cave was a beautiful dwarven city. At their disposal were many minerals and metals - all a dwarf needs to prosper. For many years their civilization flourished, but over time they grew soft, they had forgotten how to fight an defend themselves. Their leadership became corrupt, and when the ferocious orc rabble turned up, they didn't stand a chance. After decades of poor orcish maintenance, this once beautiful underground complex has turned to ruins. The orcs still reside here of course, as they are not picky when it comes to their living conditions - but the local Nords are. For years the Orcs have terrorized helpless farmers and peasants, going as far as to set whole villages alight. At last the Nords have had enough of losing their innocent civilians, crops and cattle. They don't have a large army, but their warriors are strong and fierce, so it doesn't take them long to charge through the cavern and rid the land of the orcish stench once and for all! ~~~~~ This is what I've been building since CBS2013. The inspiration came from the game Skyrim - originally I was going to build Markarth, mainly due to the concept of water flowing down a mountain through both man-made and natural structures. I decided not to build a replica from skyrim because of the limitations, but instead built this. I'm quite pleased with this build, hope you enjoy!

Wow. Awesome river, and I love the ruined wall.
-
Really awesome! The wall details are very nice and fit well together. I love the use of angles, towers of various heights and roofing. They all give it a very solid look. And those waves!
-
Awesome! Great scenes, I'd like to see a story develop further on this ;)

WOW. Your little brother has some sweet skills. I can't wait to see where he goes in the next few years! -
Really awesome build! The wall is cool with the varying heights, and nice war machines.
-
Great MOC, I love that diagonal wall. And of course the crane is great
-
Nice build! There's some really cool details in there, like the angles and jagged rocks around the base.

Hi there! I'm LWC guy from New Zealand. I've always loved lego and have been present on other sites like MOCpages and Flickr for the past couple of years, but have only now gotten round to joining Eurobricks. I have been involved in a couple of Lego shows here in NZ, and have met a few great people and awesome MOCcers along the way. Castle is and always has been my favourite building genre Hope to see you around!

Well, I've been meaning to join Eurobricks for a while now, but have only now gotten round to creating an account. You may have previously seen me around on MOCpages and Flickr. Here is a MOC I built a month couple of months ago for the Auckland Lego Show, which was here in New Zealand. More and better pictures can be found here: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/361214 Thanks for looking, and I look forward to my time here! ~~~~~ At the heart of the Lion Kingdom lies a green valley, where the soil is fertile and the produce is abundant - this valley is known as Amikvale. Due to its central location, many travelers of all races pass through here. It is not unusual to see elves, dwarves, and minotaurs. Even orcs will occasionally wander into Amikvale! However, these creatures are not always peaceful, so to protect the villagers, a mighty fortress has been built.

Awesome MOC man! I was most impressed by the use of bley instead of the more typical white, it gives a darker and more "stormy" look. It was awesome to hang out with you on the weekend :) And as for smashing MOCs - it's actually very satisfying. I find that some builders have a bit of an attachment to their work and prefer not to take them down, especially in such a violent way. But it is a great feeling to destroy your own work, and having it shattered makes it easier to sort afterwards :P Also, from my experience, only large baseplates can get chipped - Lego is pretty hardy otherwise.
