    [LDD MOC] Octan F1 Car

Here's the Lotus E23 with a bunch of updates to the design. The livery didn't work as well as I wanted, but I think its the best I can do. This will probably be the last one for a bit. Lotus E23 by Legoroni, on Flickr

    [LDD MOC] Octan F1 Car

Thanks everyone! I do want to make this in the brick along with more cars (maybe even part of a track), but I need to first figure out a better way to build the floor and the rear body work. I can't figure out how to connect the tiles for the floor without a plate underneath, so if anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

    [LDD MOC] Octan F1 Car

Breaking news! Octan has just bought the struggling Manor F1 Team and have unveiled their new car, the OR01, set to debut at next weekend's LEGO City Grand Prix. Also, both drivers have lost their seats to rookies Clutch Powers and Emmet Brickowski. Let's take a look at their entry. Octan F1 Front 3/4 by Legoroni, on Flickr Here's the front view. It is great to see those Octan colors finally make it to the F1 grid. The nose looks a bit long, which is an interesting choice as many other teams have been trying to shorten theirs. Octan F1 Top View by Legoroni, on Flickr Here's the top view where we can see their packaging. It doesn't seem to be as tight as other teams but it should get the job done well. Octan F1 Front by Legoroni, on Flickr Here's a head on view. The front wing design looks interesting; we'll see how well it works soon. Octan F1 Rear 3/4 by Legoroni, on Flickr Here's the most interesting part. The bottom looks unusually thick which can't possibly be competitive against the other teams. Anyways, I finally figured out how to render LDD files, so here's my first rendered MOC, an Octan Formula 1 Car. Here's the LDD File, if you're interested. Let me know what you think.

2015 Speed Champions Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Does anyone else find it ironic that when these sets are released, McLaren will no longer be partners with Mercedes? They're switching to Honda power next year. Otherwise, these sets look pretty great overall. There are some accuracy issues, but I think LEGO has done a pretty good job at designing these sets.

Contest Turtle Contest - Entry Thread

My second entry, the Flying Turtle. With mini jet engines in its legs, this turtle can fly anywhere it wants. It's black paint job provides a stealthy disguise while it flies through the night, disguising it from both the naked eye and radar. Perfect for those high altitude reconnaissance missions. Fiesta Turtle The fiesta turtle just loves to partly! As he dances around, his maracas shake, creating music to add to the fun. No matter the event, he's always in a good mood and ready to socialize with everybody. Fiesta Turtle by Legoroni, on Flickr

    Rechargeable Battery Box Alternative?

I plan to make power pickups out of metal wheels, which would charge the battery, powering an IR receiver and train motor, along with lights. I think I will search for an alternative battery type that will fit and try to do what legoman666 is doing.
  10. Does anyone know of any 7.4V battery that can be used in a Power Pickup System? All the batteries I found are either 3.7V or cannot be charged while running. I ask because the train I am trying to build cannot fit 8878. Thanks Also, how would the performance of the train motor change if it was only running off 3.7V?
  11. After seing The Lego Movie, I had a thought for a new series of Collectable Minifigs. This would be a sort of "Legends" line, full of updates to old Lego minifigs, like the new Johnny Thunder. Ideas include Time Cruisers, Rock Raiders, M-Tron, Adventurers, Alpha Team, Agents, etc. They would have the budget to make a non-broken version of the Classic Space helmet here.

    CUUSOO LEGO® NASA SLCR

So is this an online exclusive? I went to a Lego Store today, and an employee said they wouldn't be getting any in store. Sounds odd to me, but the paragraph on the first page does specifically say "LEGO Shop Online".

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion

Does Metalbeard's Ship count as one of the 17 sets? I think it might since it's part or the regular numbering, which is disappointing because that means there are no more sets to reveal. So no Batwing, sadly. Either way, it's fine I guess, since we're getting all these awesome homages. Edit: 200th post!
