Well you could always take mass photos of your stuff, and photograph the instructions to recreate it for the future. Then just dismantle it and create more stuff with it for playing. When bored of playing, repeat cycle of taking pics and begin again.

And if you don't have anyone to play brikwars with?

How many studs is the 10" by 10" baseplate?
ziljin replied to ziljin's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I know double posting is a big no no, but rather than making another thread about similar content, I will ask here. Would making the MOC base out of multiple smaller plates and/or bricks be sturdier than using a baseplate as the base? I guess a less specific question would be, what do people usually use as the foundation of their large MOC's? -
lol@ gold heist vehicle being most armored. There is no side armor!

The tubing is amazing. I have to get some of those in the future.

The rocket launcher is great. And the star wand thingy as a laser impact is a nice touch.

Hm, legoshop castle product line just added "The Knight" impulse set onto the shop page, but as sold out. Why did they add it back to the shop page? If they start producing more, I am going to buy like 30 of those.

I am waiting on the RTW mod RTR VII: Fate of the Empires and Europa Barborum(sp?) for M2TW. Which will no doubt take forever to come out. I would say the mods improve the games vastly.

Thanks for the info. I only said inches because that's the only measurement on the us page of legoshop. No mention of studs. -
My first castle attempt in 15 years :)

I like the castle and the high amount of peasant minifigs. I wish they made peasant impulse sets/minfig packs. Medieval Market Village is too expensive just for the peasants/villagers. -
You could always do both. Play with your creations, then show it to people. Maybe other people like what you did and they might want to do something similar. Or others can give you tips to improve.

I am a terrible researcher. I just wanted confirmation on its size. Can't be stacked? Oh well. Bricklink would be viable if there wasn't the hassle of buying from multiple buyers(due to most sellers only have like 3 or less of each piece), insurance being extra(retailers often replace missing shipments/etc no doubt due to their large size), minimum purchases meaning I have to buy pieces I don't really want to fill the cart, and no guarantee its in good condition. I was going through the route of purchasing sets for bricks, but then I end up with low numbers of lots of different pieces. Which isn't too great if I want lots of the same piece. -
How important is insurance? I notice a lot of the sellers have that "yours once shipped, not responsible afterwards/etc unless you purchase insurance" disclaimer.

Captain Cavinano, nice Pavise Crossbowman. I was wondering if you did anything special to allow the minifig to hold it as a shield when not deployed? Or is it just a regular 2x3 plate?

I just want more trolls, skeletons and dwarves. I love fantasy. I buy sets for bricks and minifigs, so the look of the set doesnt concern me much. But if its great, I would incorporate the designs to future creations. More civilians would be nice. I want to make sort of a feudal castle type of moc. Modular of course. Some farms on the outside with villagers, and a castle in the center. And tons of trolls/skeletons raiding them.

MOC: Hill House; Homage to the Horror Genre
ziljin replied to einsteinonthebeach's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Looking at your moc, I am even more convinced my life will not be complete without spending thousands if not hundreds of thousands of dollars on lego bricks and minifigs to make some giant moc. preferably of multiple themes. -
Probably going to bulk purchase the army soldier set assuming its a cheap battlepack.

Well if they do, its my chance to bolster my castle collection with HP stuff. Now I can have wizards.

I have this thing where I plan to mass collect stuff but end up never doing so. I was considering perhaps mass purchase minifigs that I used to play with as a child. I have that castle minifig pack, so that means armies of Black Falcons, Forestmen, Crusaders, and peasants. Then add in the Space ones, Space Police I + II, Blacktron I + II, and M-Tron. But my rational logical section of the brain asks what on earth would I do with all those minifigs? Since by that logic, I should be mass purchasing Space Police III, Power Miners, Crownies, Skeletons, and Trolls now. Minifigs are awesome. But like many things, I stop enjoying it when I have too much of it. Of course I will probably not mass purchase minfigs ever. I originally intended on mass purchasing duplicates of the same gundam model kits to make an army. But I got bored of all the cleaning and despruing, etc. Good thing I never got into miniatures, add in gluing and painting and I would have gotten bored super quick. If I ever have a large amount of disposable income, I guess I will try to buy every cheap castle/space minfigs I can get my hands on.

Maybe they have some unofficial bricklink sellers that sell Lego surpluses, minifigs, etc.
-
I have two "space craft". Blacktron Aerial Intruder from childhood, and Gold Heist from a recent purchase. I would say that the older space sets have more of those transparent windscreens and canopies which were awesome imo. Newer space sets seem to make less use of those pieces. I like the recent alien minifigs though.

The color scheme reminds me of a urban camo tank.

RTW and M2TW are great. Well the mods are at least. And I like watching people's videos using the battles. Like watching a scene out of a movie.

I am too cheap to collect. IMO collecting means you have to buy every set, including the ones you don't like. And I don't like having to buy things I don' like. I still have that childish nature of reptition. I just realized the money I spend on duplicate sets could have been spent on two of those 100USD sets with tons of great bricks/minifigs. I think in the long run I will try to purchase 1 copy of those bigger sets, and multiples of the smaller sets. Smaller sets = tons of minifigs. Having extras of the "grunt" minifigs can be useful for army building. mocs/dioramas/etc. But having multiples of the exclusive minifigs is not that important since I don't plan on getting into the "buy duplicates to sell later msib for profit". Since I have a cousin who is 5 years old, I still get a lot of playing done. Even if I don't want to. And hes going to be playing with toys for quite a bit, so I got plenty of play time ahead of me.

I thought the movie was alright. Wish there was more screentime for the Basterds rather than that other character.
