Yeah, the pricing issue can be annoying. On the other hand, our local TRU often has sets that no other local store has, so it ends up being cheaper to get it from TRU than to buy it online and pay shipping (not to mention that it's always better to be able to build the set when you buy it, rather than having to wait a week for it to come).

I think that the new Castle sets for this year were a nice suprise.

I'm 28. My wife is also an AFOL and 25, though she's sort of a casual builder (ie. she enjoys putting new sets together if she likes the theme, but doesn't make many MOC's, doesn't go to any forums, etc.).

Though I had friends in high school who knew the SW stuff inside and out, I've always been a lot more into Trek than Star Wars. I guess if I had to pick one, though, it'd be Episode 2, since that's the one that I can remember the least about (ie. it was apparently forgetable material for me). The rest, while they had bits of wooden acting here or there, and some corny, silly parts (ewoks or jar jar, which is worse?), the movies still kept my attention for the most part.

I recently won 6345 Aerial Acrobats complete in box for $20.51 (US).

I would also give a nod to the Pirates theme as the biggest let down. I'm not even sure why they discontinued Pirates, as it seemed so popular (which probably means profitable). Admittedly, I wasn't wild about some of the set designs in the later Pirates sets, but to just discontinue the entire theme...!?

I'm loving the new sets. Everything that can be said has already been said, so I'm just going to be repeating, but fwiw my favorite aspects to the line are: good color scheme, lots of minifigs/horses, better set designs, and improved weapons/armor.

Well, I didn't buy these Lego today, but I just got done counting the pieces from these purchases last night. There was a community yard sale in a nearby town earlier this month, and I picked up some Lego at a few places. For about $42 I got 9,983 total pieces, and 116 minifigs. I also got a few out of the ordinary things, like the silver brick from the 25th anniversary set, and a kid-sized work table.

I throw out any megablocks that I find (e.g., when I buy Lego at a yard sale). On the other hand, I think that if other people want to incorporate them into their MOC's, then that's fine. There was an interview about something like this in the last BrickJournal.

Sweet! I love the Chuck Norris lines that are floating around. Combining it with Lego makes them even better.
