:) I mean I really love those ships in SWTOR - they look amazing... I'll try to do a MOC in LDD tho i suck at it bigtime ;( still there are few cuusoo projects with it: http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/47978 http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/25800 the first one looks decent but it's not really THAT good and has some issues vs. the "real" model

my question is... does anyone have a list of bricks that can be replaced with different colors so that it's not seen from the outside ? maybe that way it can be way cheaper...

So... I finally finished the build yesterday. got the final pieces... Now the BAD news ;) ... This was my first bricklinking project and it did not turn out as awesome as I'd want and as cheap as others ;) ... I guess You DO have to spend quite some time checking the best options when it comes to price / piece & shipping... I unfortunatelly am very anxious person so did not spend enough time on that ;) Summarise: 15 orders, most of them from bricklink but few from allegro.pl (a Polish auction site). Most of the orders from Poland, but few from Europe and even few from USA. Had to pay VAT, but only on a package that was valued over 42 euro I think. Final cost: 2110 PLN = around 490 euro. That's 0,14 euro per piece. 99% of the orders were fine. Had few mistakes when ordering > 100 pieces (something missing or a wrong brick) but all that got sorted quick no problem.... So yeah. Next ? I always ALWAYS wanted the falcon... but seeing that ONE of the pieces migh cost around 100 euro I think that I will pass atm and maybe try the snowspeeder later on...

I like it quite much even tho it's one hell of an expensive set. yeah people might have issues about the right angles etc. etc, but i think for people who don't own the UCS falcon this set is a consolation prize type of thing :) -

I have this one but will most likely sell it... the black pieces seemed to be in not the best quality as they cought every dust imaginable + they started changing color a bit. Still it was a fun set (the minifig was cool) especially after playing the game... -

So... I started my own DS2 bricklinking... I guess I didn't pay much attention to important things as I only used bricklink and tried to find stores in Poland (since I'm in Poland) which carry the most lots I need. at this moment I'm about 115 pieces short (3326 bought). had to replace 4 of them (couldn't find the right color) and so far I paid around 1600 PLN which is more or less 380 euro (0,12 per piece). Most of the bricks I bought were NEW but right now it's hard to find the amount I need in stores... I think I overpaid atm (especially looking at the 225 pounds ;) ) but then again it is my first bricklinking attempt on such big model.

it is big tho it don't really feel that big really... I think the B-Wing UCS feels a bit more massive comparing to the X-Wing....

hey everyone (my first post)... I bought this one the other day. took me about 3 hours to assemble. The WORST part was the damn cockpit sticker :/ had to use the second one after bad luck with the first one. I guess the cutting off the middle part (leaving just the frames) is a nice and quite good idea... either way, I didn't have the old UCS X-Wing so I can't really compare but after being a bit "meh" about this set, it grew on me. It's actually quite swooshable and looks pretty good..
