  1. 75104 - Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle. already modded it so the wings can go V-like as by but I'm not 100% with this option so I'm thinking about the other one. It's a pretty cool set tho, especially that I went to see the movie again yesterday.
  2. Set Name: Darth Vader Set #: 75111 Theme: Star Wars Pieces: 160 Minifigures: 0 Year of Release: 2015 MSRP: USD $29.99 Found this in a local LEGO affiliate. Decided to give it a try. I just want to say that I've yet to have such figures so this is a new thing for me :) Box/Instructions The box is medium sized. What you notice first is that it's made out of a more thick paper than the usual ones. The back of the box shows other available "Battle Figures" but I didn't get neither of them. Inside you can find 4 unnumbered bags + instructions and a cape. The instructions simple & clear. Nothing extraodinary. I did like some of the techniques used but it is mostly TECHNIC and I bet everyone who had similar figures won't find anything new here. Parts the set comes with 160 pieces. The bare parts are TECHNIC. I don't think there's anything new here. The armour itself is quite nice and has couple of parts exclusive to this set (EDIT: ADDED THE NEW PIECES PHOTOS!). The head of Vader of course is a new piece and it looks REALLY nice. The Cape looks and feels nice, but later on you will see that the way it's attached is VERY unsatisfying... || After the build you're left with 5 additional pieces. The build The build was pretty easy and took me about 20 minutes to complete. Like I said before there's nothing amazing here especially if you've been playing with TECHNIC or other similar figures. You start the build with the torso, then build the legs, arms and in the end you attach the cape & the head. The competed model AAAaaaaaand it's complete. As you can see here the cape is attached with a TECHNIC piece. At first I thought it was clever but later on I discovered that because of that, there's no way of having the cape over the shoulders and that it sometimes swings back on the sides. Other than that the figure is indeed quite big but again, that'd probably be only "the thing" for everyone who hasn't had contact with such figures before. The competed model Honestly... It's a bit MEH. I did not have high hopes for the set yet I decided to give it a try. It is a bit hard to make it stand like you want, but then again you can move the legs & arms quite a lot. As you can see he can hold the lightsaber either both hands or one hand which is quite cool. I think it might be a bit too delicate for a normal "child abuse" so I'd probably buy it more as a nice looking set rather than a playset. Parts: 9/10 Build: 7/10 Price: 7/10 Design: 7/10 Playability: 6/10 Overall: 36/50 = 72%

    [REVIEW]: 75111 - Darth Vader

Thanks! And yes you're right! they should be attached differently lol. Here comes my lack of experience with such figures. thanks! As for the new parts - I looked at brickset and photographed every part that was only in this set but now i realised it could just be different colours. Also I see this was moved in the forum :) // oh and now I see there's already been a review of this set here :( ... sorry!

    very nice! well done!
  10. Here's another little thing from me :] Set Name: Shadow Troopers Set #: 75079 Theme: Star Wars Pieces: 95 Minifigures: 4 Year of Release: 2015 MSRP: USD $12.99 So... I went to the SMYK store again ;) found this set there so I just HAD to grab it. Also not really a bargain but I didn't care ;) Box/Instructions Standard, small box. I think it's the same size as for all the battle packs. The same with instructions. Nothing of interest here. Parts Set contains 95 pieces. There are two bags - one bigger one smaller. There's quite a lot of transparent red parts here. I don't think there are any unusual pieces here. We do get the beloved (by everyone ;) blasters here. Also set includes additional 8 "bullets" :] Minifigures I guess this is the main reason to buy the battle packs. Here we have 4 figures, all exclusive to this set. We're getting 2x Shadow Trooper and 2x Shadow Guards. They both look really nice. The coloring on the Shadow Troopers is very neatly done. It's somewhere along the dark-gray print on a black pody piece? It looks pretty neat + the helmets are totally awesome. The Shadow Guards look OK. They don't have faces, so the heads are one big red brick. They also don't have any printing on the back. As much as the characters are very interesting... the figures don't do them justice in my opinion. The build Well, the set is really small so the build took about 5 minutes. The vehicle tho is actually REALLY nice. I thought that this set would interest me more in terms of minifigs, but the speeder or whatever it is, is actually very neat as well. I really like how they did the front and the back of it. It can carry two minifigs and has two missiles. The competed model Not much to say here... just a small photo :) Overall opinion Small but very satisfying. As much as I don't care for battle packs I do care about the Empire! ;) Having interesting minifigs + as it turns out a very cool speeder. This set was not only a "meh" buy for me. Because of it's price, I'd say don't hesitate. Minifigures: 8/10 - Shadow Troopers are really cool. The Shadow Guards tho are a bit "meh". Parts: 6/10 Build: 6/10 Price: 10/10 Design: 10/10 Playability: 9/10 Overall: 49/60 = 82% P.S. I'm sorry for the dark pictures. I decided to buy a "no-shadow-tent" or whatever you call it in english tomorrow so maybe I'll have some better pictures soon.

why 30 PLN more expensive ? no idea. Actually it costs the same as the UCS X-WING so it seems that the Slave I has a "lower" price.

  17. Hey, my first review here... not sure if it's ok and if I actually CAN post a review here yet but if not - please moderate this :] So: Set Name: TIE Advanced Prototype Set #: 75082 Theme: Star Wars Pieces: 355 Minifigures: 3 Year of Release: 2015 MSRP: USD $39.99 I bought this set in a polish SMYK store yesterday (so a bit earlier than it was supposed to be out). I overpayed for it quite a lot but then again that's what "impulse-purchase" is all about :) Box/Instructions The box itself is quite nice. Not too big, not too small. Instructions are easy to read and pretty standard. There's a small sticker sheet as well, consisting of 6 small stickers. Parts There are 355 parts in this set. They're all pretty standard ranging from light-gray to dark-gray and black. Some red transparent bricks are also present. I think this set has a new part -> (sorry for being an ignorant) an L-shaped light-gray brick with no studs. You can see it on the stock pictures on "top" of the wings (I think it's called a "tile" ;] ). Other than that - the printed domes are also interesting pieces. Minifigures The figs are basically what should draw you to this set. The Inquisitor is AMAZING. It has a new helmet, shoulder-pads and a lightsaber. This fig is pure awesome. It's definitely a must for all the SW minifig collectors out there. You also get a TIE Pilot (I think it's a new fig as well - different helmet from the last TIE Fighter Pilot we had) and an Imperial Officer (which also has "new" tag on the box meaning it's an exclusive!. Pure Empire gold! The build The build is devided to 3 stages. Bag 1 - Cockpit. Bag 2 - "Wing-holders". Bag 3 - Wings. The build is rather fast and a bit repetetive as the wing-holders are basically a mirrored versions of each other and the wings are a build of x4 of the same thing. The completed model The model looks rather good. It has a flicker-cannons (?). You can open the glass dome and the top dome so you can put a minifig inside. The only issue I have with this model is the size of it comparing it to the last TIE Fighter. But then again when I look at -> <- it MIGHT actually be the right size. EDIT: One thing that you might find a bit annoying are the wings. They are NOT attached like in the old Vader's TIE meaning they don't have certain "steps" of possible arrangement if you know what I mean. Here you can fold the wings to whatever position you want (well.. "inside" at least). This means that if you open up the wings and put in on a table or whatever flat surface, they MIGHT fold back in a bit which will make the model fall. It's not really something that will make this model a NO, but still it's tad annoying. Overall opinion The model is nothing extraordinary. It's a standard TIE set and it will look good with the other TIEs in your collection. The minifigs tho, are a MUST! Minifigures: 10/10 Parts: 6/10 Build: 5/10 Price: 8/10 - I'll just say I found this set on an auction for 200 PLN (about 46 euros) and for that - it IS a pretty good price. Like I said, I did overpay for it at the local toy store. Design: 8/10 Playability: 9/10 Overall: 46/60 = 77%

[Review] 75082 - TIE Advanced Prototype

I think you misunderstood me. When you look at the model from the Rebels series with wings hmmm spread... the ship itself is in the shape of a shpere. but when you look at the lego model with the wings sread... it looks more like an oval. PERHAPS it's just a matter of the size of the wings as you said. Maybe if they'd be a bit longer they'd form a better "sphere" ;]

LEGO Star Wars UCS 75060 Slave I

I think I'll wait a moment with Slave I. I just finished the Snowspeeder MOC and don't really have enough $$ for two big models in a month :\
  24. all right... took me about 5 days i think. missing: 8 pieces (6 of them never ordered for whatever reason + 2 piecess missing from what I got from bricklink). Considering the almost 2200 pieces that's a pretty good result if you ask me. The instructions are ok BUT there are many situations here that require some skill. I'd say they could've been done better sometimes (especially with the "attaching bigger parts to the rest") but if I managed to finish, it means they were good ;] Maybe the rear grill could've been done last tbh as it would give you some more space to work there before... It's massive, heavy but a bit flimsy. It's hard to find the right spots to grab it but it's not like it falls apart everytime I pick it up. Big cheers and respect to the creators! You've done a MASSIVE work.
