It pretty much looks like the 2008 version except has some more detail that can be added by simply applying the pieces used for detailing. The two new figs look cool, but I'll probably get them on bricklink. Great set for those who missed out on the '08 version, just not worth $70.

Oh dear I forgot about that I feel so stupid. Lol you do have a good point about it being iconic. I can see why you like this set and good luck purchasing it at a decent price.

Wow lego was really cheap with this exclusive. They couldn't even give us the Bilbo figure that was included in an unexpected gathering. But I bet some people are willing to pay $500 on ebay for it.

Wow, if lego released something like this and not that ok Y-WIng last year, I would have definitely purchased it. I like the instruction manual too with the rebel symbol on the steps, lego should do that with their rebel sets too.

Why was the headhunter on clearance? After all, it only came out in January.

I agree with the new villians thing, you'd figure lego would have made a couple new ones by now, but we only received some decent redesigns. To me this set doesn't look like a must have, but I may purchase it a couple months after it's released.

I always liked the original R2-D2 figure best, but now since lego has made it shiny I really like the new one. Looks much better than a grey dome.

Wow, thanks for the link, Doctor! The set is as amazing as I thought it would be, but I may not get it when it first comes out due to its high price.

Don't forget most of the bigger set reviews are over 15 minutes long, while reading one will only take five minutes at the most. Michealmgf really needs to shorten his reviews, his Iron Man Malibu Mansion Attack set review was half an hour! The set isn't even that big.

While they do talk too much in some reviews, at least they don't complain about the littlest things like legoboy does. I remember back from his umbaran mhc review he was complaining that the color of the 212th was completely off, saying that it "pisses him off," even though it was fairly accurate.

Wow thanks, I really like the way it looks it was just that I couldn't stand the floppy legs. I don't really mind the technic beams though. The Stass Allie figure is definitely the highlight of the set
-
Well to be clear I was referring to the big one, the head of it looks a lot better but like I said before it does have the same problems with the legs. Watch the brickshow review if you want to know what I'm talking about. I may pick it up myself if I can find it on sale.

I'm sure lego will make a good amount of sets from the PT (definitely ones from ROTS) but I'm sure they won't "squeeze out" in terms of characters. Lego has probably learned by now not to make sets from really little and unimportant scenes. From what I remember, it's been a few years since we received one of those sets. But we shouldn't be surprised to see sets that haven't been redesigned in a while. Lego will want to release those before working on Rebels and episode 7.

Does anyone else also dislike the new spider droid? The minifigures aren't bad but the legs on the homing spider droid have the same problems as the ones on the 2008 version.

I bought a 2009 AAT from bricklink a few weeks ago for $50. It's a very nice set and I would highly recommend it for clone wars fans that don't have the set.

Oh sorry, I should have been more specific. I meant that you could get the bigger ones cheaper through Amazon, not sure about getting them cheaper from other stores (Definitely not Toys-R-US)

I'm not sure, but I think the discounts will happen In a couple months from now. Kids are going to want to buy the sets, but with all the other great summer sets (most of them out right now) will definitely bring more attention than the LR sets. I mean you can already purchase sets $50 dollars and higher for about $10 cheaper each here in the U.S. Lol I was thinking about that too. I haven't purchased any LR sets yet (waiting for discounts) but I was thinking about selling a few of them on bricklink or ebay. I mean what else is there to do?
-
I was thinking about getting the set so I checked out your nice review. Unfortunately, I decided not to get it off bricklink, thanks for the review though

I love the way it looks, and may only get the new gunship just to end up making it like this.
-
I agree with your Tatooine set, but dear god, not a set from what was perhaps the worst story arc of all of Star Wars: The Clone Wars EDIT: Oh geez I wish I read the whole thing when I saw that you mentioned Gregor being included. If so, it can't be that bad.

Yeah, maybe I'll pick up Jabba's Palace since it will be discontinued later around December and think about possibly getting the gunship later next year if I can find it on sale -

I'm a fan of nearly all the movies, should I get the new Gunship or 9516 Jabba's Palace? The reason why I say nearly is because I wasn't fond of the first two prequels, but I can still use the gunship for other battles like ones in ROTS -
Awesome set and review, I'm glad I decided to purchase this through bricklink for $50

Am I the only one who doesn't really like the new AT-TE that much? The fact that we pay $90 or 90 euros or whatever for just one clone isn't worth it. I know we get two very interesting jedi, and the clone included is very detailed, but I just think they could have included a few more standard clones for the price. The set itself isn't really something I consider an improvement over the previous one either. I mean one of the main downsides is that you can't put any clones in the front hatch of the AT-TE, just one in the cockpit. Also you can say lego went in the opposite direction when they replaced missile launchers with flick fire missiles. Anyways I'll just save my $90 and use them on the jedi-defender class Cruiser, anyone with me?
