Not really. I mean of course the republic is outnumbered, the droids don't really get much either. They just get some cover and a STAP bike, which won't really help. You do get 2 battle droids and 2 super battle droids if I recall, but you can get those on Bricklink for a really low price. But yeah I'd still get it for the cool barc trooper and his speeder.

Most people probably have this problem, including me. The answer is probably because republic sets look a lot cooler and do a lot better in the market. Most separatist sets tend to be very plain and boring, and lego often includes poor minifigures. So naturally we look at them thinking they are poor and decide not to buy them. Also their size might make a difference too. Look at all the huge republic sets that have come out in the past few years, now think about the last time lego made a big battle droid set where you could get multiple of (so not including the malevolence) yup, the MTT from 2007- seven years ago. So even if you buy an equal amount of sets from each side, your droid army will still look smaller because of the size.

Has anyone in the U.S found the new lego star wars sets yet? I've been going to my nearest Toys-R-Us a few times a week but still no luck.

Darn, Lego chose a poor minifigure selection for the AT-AT. I mean they're not bad, but there's nothing special about them either. Let's just hope they do an outstanding job on the walker itself.

The Cantina looks pretty good to me. I just hope they finish up that blocky side with the door, it looks unfinished. Can anyone help identify the two figs with the Squidward heads? Are they supposed to be the guys who were didn't like Luke and Obi-Wan had to cut one of their arms off.

Thanks for the review xowainx. If you ask me I think this set is only good to get for the minifigures. To be honest with you I'm a big Star Wars fan and I have trouble with recognizing that as a tri-droid, but in my defense it looks like lego just decided to throw something together with some spare parts and then this set was made. I really want those airbourne troopers though.

I actually thought this set was decent until you got to the plane. It's just it lacks cool functions, which kind of makes the entire set pointless, because you have this Ambush but with no functions to support the set. Other than the flick fires, but those will probably get old, considering lego has been doing them for almost seven years. Great job on the reviews as always, I just hope the other ones turn out better than this.

Finally I find someone who agrees with me. I mean sure the recent figs like Jango Fett were cool, but in general licensed lego figures have way too much detail. The new Han Solo for me has to be the worst fig in a while, the appearance of his cheekbones make him look much older, and was better off without it. At least the clones look cool.

No official prices have been released for the system sets other than the AT-AP ($70) but I assume the set with the wolfpack is around $50. I'd say wait until reviews of it come out and if you want the set than get it, but it's also smart to wait a few months until the wolfpack figures become cheap. Honestly I would go with the second choice, the cannon looks unfinished and nothing else in the set looks interesting.

Is anyone else disappointed with the lack of a boga in the Previous Bike set? IMO lego threw out a golden opportunity.

Really? That's pretty early considering we haven't seen the official pics for all of them yet.

Well in my opinion I believe in that saying "If it's not broken don't fix it." Anakin's leg printing from last year looked fine, so I don't see why people wanted it to change. I agree with brickdoctor about his facial expression not looking good, not because I think it's childish, but because it doesn't really fit his character, meaning that he doesn't look serious enough like he was in the scene.

That Chewbacca looks pretty good in my opinion, but I just wish there was a way for lego to make his arms a bit bigger because to me they look a little small compared to the head/body piece.

I may be wrong, but from what I see those clones are supposed to be prelims of commander wolffe and a wolfpack trooper (However you spell it) Does anyone else read this too?

I agree, it's back to the original phase 2 clone helmets for me. The R2 looks great, shame it has to be in such a generic set though, and not something great like the ewok village.

Great choice! I got this one for my birthday and it was purchased from ebay about $100 brand new. In my opinion paying $100 for it is a steal. You are right about the fact that it needs modding, but it doesn't take many pieces and it was quite fun modifying it for me.

I wouldn't be surprised about a new star destroyer, I saw a video today about Rebels and Dave Filoni mentioned that the crowd became very excited when they showed an image of the CGI star destroyers, so I would assume they would make lots of toy companies would make it, including lego. I really hope they make one though, it's been forever since lego made one in good ol' 2006. I like your EU set by the way, it's a lot different then the sets lego normally makes.

I agree, he doesn't look very original, he's probably one of those characters who acts really tough but can't even fight off against a padawan. Anyways we didn't get much from the teaser trailer, but I don't think this will be any better than the clone wars.
