LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors

You're not wrong, in fact Lego should be doing this so people won't complain about how old he looks. I don't want to get off topic, but is there a reason why you changed your name to Big Bad Doctor and temporarily changed your profile pic to the loony toons wolf?

These pics are even better, and I agree with you about how they make the set more appealing. Unfortunately the AT-AT looks the most generic, since it has pretty boring figures and there's really nothing that stands out from this version of the set. The Cantina and Yoda Chronicles sets however look amazing, and they will be the ones that I would like to get from this wave.

Thanks for the links. I have to agree with you about Luke, the cheekbones make him look around 40, even though he's only around 19 years old.

I'm not offended or anything, just thought I should have said something about it. But yes, Artanis does make a good point.

That's a bit unnecessary, don't you think. I understand that good English is encouraged on this forum but also keep in mind not people on here are from around the world, so you can't expect perfect English either. Cyberbricker is from Belgium so obviously you can't expect him to be an English professor, and the fact that his English was already good made it even less unnecessary for that reply. Pardon me if it sounds like I'm complaining too much but I feel like I should say something about this.

Personally I would go with the Republic Frigate over the Jedi Defender Class Cruiser, mainly because you get a lot more out of the Frigate with all the little functions it has. The Cruiser isn't necessarily bad for those purposes, but a lot of the ship's functions are just storage compartments, which make the set a little boring IMO, especially if you haven't played the Old Republic game. The one thing better about the cruiser over the frigate is the figures included with the set, but if you want those that badly you can simply bricklink them. Since both of these sets have valuable figures, it would be a better idea IMO to buy them with the set. For the second answer, I'd go with the Republic Attack Shuttle. When the Emperor's Shuttle first came out I thought it was going to be much better than the Attack Shuttle, but when I built it I was kind of disappointed. They sacrificed a lot in the interior for the Darth Vader transformation function, which doesn't even work most of the time. It's based off a three-second appearance from episode III, so you can't really do much with it either. I don't really think the Attack Shuttle is that much better to be honest, mainly because of the childish color-scheme, but if you want one of these two then I'd go with the Attack Shuttle. Neither of these sets really have any amazing figures, so when you buy one of these two it won't be a bad idea to purchase the set without the figs and buy them separately online. I hope I helped, and if you have anything else you want to add feel free to do so.

I didn't mean to say that it was bad for display, but just that the SSD is the better choice for display purposes. But I guess the way I typed it makes it sound like I believe it's bad for that reason.

Yeah Darth Mallet is right, the price of the Imperial Shuttle is out of your range. It's a good set, but it's gotten pretty expensive none the less. Anyways the SSD is good for display purposes only, and only if you have lots of space. However IMO it's not that good of a set, it has lots of gray pieces and doesn't really have much to it. The Death Star is good for the exact opposite reason: It doesn't have much display value but has ton of features and cool functions. If you're interested in those kind of things then I'd recommend the Death Star over the SSD. The Sandcrawler in my opinion has a little bit of both to offer. It looks pretty cool on display and seems to have a good amount of play value as well, and not to mention it fits perfectly in your price range. Personally I'd definitely choose this one over the SSD, but maybe not the Death Star. There is one set that I'd recommend: The Ewok Village. It's a bit pricey for the piece count but everything about it is so interesting and it's very iconic. The minifigs and the village are very detailed and the play features are a bit interesting. I hope I helped, if you want more help then feel free to ask. Welcome to Eurobricks!

LED renderings of Star Wars sets

I think the lights make the pictures look very cool, especially the last one. Great job

    Single Pane Star Wars Funnies

I think the joke is supposed to be that in the Duel on Geonosis set you connect Yoda with that piece to a bar and swing him to represent the jumping and bouncing he would do in the movie. I guess to MaceWindu he was using the force to bounce off the walls (If Yoda really was using the force than my apologies) Which is why Obi-Wan says the force is with him.

    [75059] Sandcrawler

It's not you, it's lego thinking that by adding lots of unnecessary cheek bones and wrinkles the figures look more detailed. I really hope they realize the figures end up looking ugly by the time the episode VII sets come out.

    Future Star Wars Sets

Definitely Cloud City, but I don't think we could be getting it for at least a few years since lego will focus on Rebels and episode VII. I would also love to see a remake of the wookiee catamaran but lego probably won''t make that either for the same reason.

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors

The fact that it's targeted for kids makes it worse. It would look so out of place in their collection of flesh-toned figures; kids would not want it considering it looks very old and lacks detail to them. Clearly this is just to get the older crowd nostalgic and buy the book. Not to be rude but it should be pretty obvious that the answer is yes. If kids would buy lego books for the book itself, why would lego include an exclusive minifigure for almost each of them. Go to your local Target and you'll see the part with the minifigure is open and the figure has been taken out, showing that people won't even get the book for the figure.

New to Eurobricks and some Y-wing 9495 mod

Hello and welcome to Eurobricks. I really like all the little modifications you have done to the Y-Wing, you fixed the problems about the set. (Besides the curse of stickers, which I doubt anyone can) The pictures you have taken aren't bad at all, in fact they are pretty good. Hope you have a great time on Eurobricks and coming back out of your dark ages.

I agree with Robianco that the Lando figure in the lego movie looks very similar to the original version. Lego probably updated the Lando figure in the lego movie so he wouldn't look very plain and outdated compared to the other figures. Also, there appears to be no sets this year that would be appropriate to include Lando in. (Besides that UCS Slave I rumor that is never talked about)

Thanks a bunch. It's a little small and crowded but it's alright.

Does anyone have more info on the interior of the ISD, like what play features does it have and how big is it, sorry if someone already went over this I haven't been updated with this forum in the past few days. Anyways most of the sets turned out pretty good, but the AT-AT is surprisingly mediocre IMO. It's much smaller and thinner than the 2007 one, and they both have the same amount of pieces. I'm also surprised they did a poor job on the interior. Sure the play feature is alright but I feel like it's a waste of space, especially when they could've added things such as seats and a little command center. My favorite will still remain as the 2007 motorized version.

    Review: 75037 Battle on Saleucami

Nice review. I'm surprised this costs 20 Euro, here in the United States it's only $15, which would be around 11.50 Euro for you. I understand lego does not have the prices to match perfectly around the world, but this is just unfair.

Thanks for the lovely pictures. The Ghost is really starting to grow on me. When I first saw the design I thought it looked very childish, but now it's beginning to look a bit cooler and it seems to have a good amount of detail.

It would more likely be cheaper after the release of the newer one because once the new one comes out the sales of the previous version will go down since not as many people will want to buy it. Personally I'd buy a used version of the older one, but that has to do with my opinion since in my opinion it's not worth the money sealed. Just find a used one in good condition and I'm sure it will be as good as if it was sealed, just my two cents. Hope this helped.

    Review: 75038 Jedi Interceptor

Great review TomatoSoup, you make this set look a lot better than I thought it was going to turn out. However I probably won't buy it since I already own the green interceptor from 2012. But that R2 looks so much better than the last one, I hope lego includes it in more sets.

Thanks for all of the info Zzz. This may sound a little weird, but what are your opinions on the ISD. You gave a lot of info about it and it doesn't seem as good as the previous one, and I'm a little curious myself because I thought it would turn out to be the best one of the wave.

    [MOC] SoroSuub V-35 Courier

I think it looks great! It's very sleek has a nice build. I assume it didn't take long to build due to its size but how long did it take?

    MOC: Octuptarra Magna Tri-Droid

Well done, it's fun to see people make MOCs out of colorful parts. I would agree with you that the legs could use some more work, they lack detail in my opinion. But either way I really like it because of its simplicity and colors.
