Yes, ANOTHER thread with MOD´s of the Imperial Shuttle and First Order TIE. :) Well I thought I´d share these anyway. The Imperial shuttle is one of my favourite vehicles of the OT, so what started with a couple of tiles ended up with a couple of Bricklink orders. The wings are made in the same way as the top fin (and UCS wings). Bricks and Technic beams. The end result turned out very nice. The cockpit needed to be thinner when made out of all white parts. The designers of 75094 and 10212 used gray in a very clever way to make the cockpit look thin yet still hold figs. In my flickr there is a before and after photo of the cockpit during the mod. There is no room for a copilot anymore but the troop area remained unchanged. Alot of tweaks and rebuilds later I feel finished. Main differences are the now white wings and the inner spokes on the wings. The inner spokes are, as you know a problem since the first TIE Fighter released. I am satisfied with the solution I came up with using technic connectors and axles. I tried using longer axles but then they bent outwards because of the plates, so I used the shorter ones for a sleeker look. The top cannon got rebuilt to look more like the one on Hasbro´s model. I also extended the main body so the model is two studs wider than the official set. He inspired me to make my own. I based mine on 75101. I´m currently awaiting parts to incorporate the spokes on the inside of the wings as I did on my Special Forces TIE. Made for a competition at the Swedish LUG Swebrick. The theme was horror. I used a lot of parts from the new constraction figures line but the main body is almost only system. Fully articulated though the weight makes some poses hard. For LDD I changed the colorscheme to mostly tan and dark tan. A "Chunk" in Minecraft is 16x16x256 blocks. Based on a 32x32 baseplate this build is actually 16x16 blocks. The height however would not be possible to replicate since it would be too high. You do not want a tower like that to fall over a bunch of kids at an exhibition. :) This is not based on the latest version of the game sinca a lot of the newer blocks are absent. However most of the classic features are there and it´s basically one big playset, like the 10188 Death Star of Minecraft. It is possible for the figures to move from bottom to top through caves, ladders and stairs. Some designs are Lego´s official from the sets, but the ones I was not happy with or didn´t existed I designed new items. Like the chests for example. Lego´s chest´s are excellent for play, but not for display. Hello. Everybody posts wip-threads so I might as well do that to find out what you think this far. I really like shuttles so this new shuttle from Force Awakens really got my attention. The change in design from early concept to final picture makes this a must to MOD. So I set out to make a black one, even though Pearl dark gray would be a great color but the parts aren´t available. So black it is. Then there was an early poster that also showed a white shuttle so of course I had to make a white one as well. Thanks to mqbui1´s thread about his black shuttle mod, I chose to build them from scratch since most parts needed to be replaced. I also looked at billiamy´s use of technic click hinges and decided that they would be the best to use. I also had a close look at the other toy manufacturers versions of this shuttle to see what Lego might have missed (the landing gear was the most obvious part missing/changed). Most of the parts were found in my own collection but $80 on Bricklink helped alot. :) I´m still waiting for the last parts to arrive from Bricks and Pieces so I did not bother with any nice photos yet. Since I intend to use them for display on a shelf and in a MOC I really had no use of the folding mechanism to retract the stabilizers. Instead I chose to simply make the top part of the stabilizers replaceable. It also made the horrid gaps needed for this folding mechanism to go away. The landing gear are also simple to click back on when I wish to display it in landed mode. Here´s a shot of the Bat in landed mode. The windshield is not all trans red as you can see, this is to not to deviate from my design in the white one, and there simply aren´t any good trans red parts to use without sacrificing the overall design around the windshield. shuttleblack01 by mordatre, on Flickr shuttleblack02 by mordatre, on Flickr Here´s the Snow Owl with one of the tall extensions of the stabilizers attached, and below you can see how it´s attached. The top of the stabilizers are as sturdy as the rest of the ship and will not rattle at all. I chose to include some light bluish gray in this white shuttle to relieve the eye of all white. Unfortunately there were no white shuttle in the movie. But I hope it shows up in episode 8. I seems Lego was on the right track with how the top fins retract. I´ve made a small modification to how the fins look retracted but a complete rebuild isn´t necessary. The grey shuttle is now rubble and some of the parts went into modifying my first order transports.

Here´s a small review of this set. Set no: 75132 Pieces: 88 The long wait is over and The Force Awakens finally have had it´s premiere. I really liked the Movie but won´t put any major spoilers in this short review. Pardon my pictures with bad lighting but it´s dark around the clock in Sweden at the moment. This set comes in a box, you already know how the box looks so no need to take a photo of it. Inside there are 2 bags and a booklet. The larger bag contains figures and most parts for the turret cannon. A small build but many useful parts, at least for me. 7513201 by mordatre, on Flickr The four heads have no alternative print on backside. Many would like to see the crew minifig replaced with another standard storm trooper, and since the First Order Crew aren´t featured that much in the movie I agree. However I believe we´ll see more of them in the upcoming movies and it´s not like anyone have an army of them already since the figure is fairly new. The heavy gunner features new print on front and back of torso. This figure is quite common on screen and I really like this fig. I have not built my own heavy blaster for him yet though. First order Officer (?) features a new hat that is clearly seen in the movie. The turret has a stashe for ammunition and a control panel. There are loads of turrets in the movie so the choice to include it in this battle pack seems very legit. The red banner comes in 3 sets, 4842 Hogwarts Castle, 40195 Shell station Polybag and 8679 Tokyo International Circuit. However it´s not expensive on Bricklink and you can order it from Lego as well.

Good find. Well it looks like my angle will work. :) But the fuselage needs to be thinner.

Well, there´s only a few more days until we´ll find out. :) I would hate to rebuild the entire shuttle.

I googled pics from other toy manufacturers. Revell had the most detailed. Hopefully the ship on screen wont differ too much. :)

Thanks guys. :) @ Azrielsc - The wings work the same way as with the white one. Upper half of the wing is replaceable with a short or long fin. @belkor - We don´t know yet how much the wings will fold when in flight. If it turns out they only fold as much as the trailer shows I´ll simply use the next click on the hinges. ;)

Well. I´m working on two 75104 mods at the same time so I didn´t have any time to update this one. I´m not skilled with either LDD or Bluerender but here are two pictures of it´s current state. Unfortunately the landing gears need to be redesigned because they do not fold neatly when in flíght mode. The "head" is something that needs a few extra tweaks as well before I´m satisfied. Thanks. The white shuttle will probably be ready this week. Then I´ll also add some better photos of the black one. This ship is actually alot more fun to swoosh around when the stabilizers are tilted 45 degree´s. :)

No, the stabilizers would need to be way too thick to incorporate the top wings inside. Both my shuttles uses the replacable top fin.

It´s all about how the tree is delivered... When uncle Kylo takes the Snow Owl to visit us troopers in december we all know this is the time we get our very own christmas tree. Excellent MOD! The black color look so much better. I will start from scratch then, maybe even build a white one...

Download LDD: http://ldd.lego.com/sv-SE/ I got hold of a .lxf file of the entire shuttle so I will make a file for all mods and try to rebuild the bottom. It really need new landing gear.
