This trailer is epic. The Maelstrom are especially cool, since my beta won't work on my low-graphics and RAM computer, I haven't been able to play the beta, even though I have an account. I definitely need to invest in some upgrades...

OLD Mafia and Mystery Games Index
Xenophilius Studz replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
ImperialScout's Mafia game sounds very exciting. I was actually think more along the lines of pirates infiltrating the soldiers, but deserters work too. Besides, who doesn't wanna wear a bluecoat?!?! I'll definitely sign up! -
Me too. 2006's hospital was repugnant. I very much want to see the City House. It sounds very interesting, and exciting for a house to be released under City for the first time in several years. And on the news of the Truck Stop being the TRU exclusive, meh. I would have preferred the other two choices, but we'll wait and see. All in all, not a bad year for City, so far.

Mine would be straight road plates I got off eBay several years ago from 1986. Skipping over the Community Workers and green baseplates from '96 as "not official sets; and skipping over several LEGO games from 1997 to the end of the century, my oldest set is the Mosasaurus I got at a flea market very recently.

This set is very impressive! I love all the neat features that make it feel like a shopping center. The scooter design is simply amazing as well. I might pick this up if I don't drown myself in every other set out this year.

Awesome review of an awesome set! I too believer this is one of the best sets of 2009, and I'm very happy to own it. Its perfect set to add two new buildings and an outstanding bus to any city layout. I also very much liked you wrap up of the set! 5 stars!

Review: 8968 River Heist (Agents 2.0)
Xenophilius Studz replied to Grimmy's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Awesome review. The review was very original, and the text-introductions to the characters were charming. I got this set for Christmas, and I'll say, I really like the set. Three epic-win minifigs, a sleek looking jetski, and a very good hovercraft for the bad guys. I have to agree that the flick-fires on the jetski make it hard to actually "flick", since they move, but it doesn't really matter. -
The time frame of Adventurers
Xenophilius Studz replied to Mörs's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I'm pretty sure the Adventurers are in the 1920s-early 1940s range, similar to the original Indiana Jones movies. -
I think most of next year's SPIII is awesome. I might pick up the Space Police Central and I am going to get Smash n'Grab. I'm pretty impressed with my only 2010 set, Raid VPR, I could get more of those. Sadly, I was hopping the limo would be a Black Hole Gang/Blacktron III Flagship to compete with the Galactic Enforcer. Slightly off-topic, but I got three Space Police sets for Christmas, including the Raid VPR and the Galactic Enforcer, my new favorite large spaceship I own.

Sloppiness When You Are Building
Xenophilius Studz replied to legotrainfan's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I've also had sloppy building. Most of the time I pay attention to the bricks that the step calls for, but sometimes I'll miss a a brick or plate. Luckily, I catch the mistake before I have to take apart have the model to fix it, usually. I also sometimes mistake the dark gray and black sometimes. -
Yeah, I'd call it by its dimension and its type. "Pass the 2x4 Brick!" "Can you hand me that 2x2 plate?" "I need you to get out that bucket of 2x2 tiles and 1x1x2 slopes, alright?" Though I'd rather say cheese piece to someone rather than its complicated name.

Yeah, I'd probably do that with my Crystal Reaper too. Or simply build a mine, set it underneath my LEGO Town's table, and have the Power Miners and Mars Mission Team go into an all-out war over the crystals with the Jellies and the Rock Monsters. Or build a modular bank, build the second floor as a giant safe, fill it with the jewels, and have some people swimming in it as listed earlier.

I'm 13 years old. Its supposed to be an AFOL site, I suppose, but as long as your acting like an adult, the Mods let you slide.

I got these LEGO sets Separatist Shuttle Darth Vader's TIE Fighter River Heist Galactic Enforcer Camper Raid VPR Sports Car City Minifigure Collection Corporate Alliance Tank Droid Squidman's Escape Claw Grabber Gold Tooth's Getaway Then I got these non-LEGO UP DVD Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince DVD An Iowa State shirt the LEGO Book with Standing Small LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues Candy Toy Story 3D calender A pretty satisfing Christmas. I've never gotten that much LEGO!
-
I've only gotten three Advent Calenders: 2005, 2008, and 2009. Out of all of them I liked 2009 the best. All Advent Calenders are awesome. 24 days of simple goodies to add to your city. But I like this year the most because it felt more holiday-themed than previous years. I mean we usually get fireman and police officers and criminals to rule our calender. But this year, we get a kid, toys, a Christmas Tree, Santa, ice skating, mailman to deliver presents, snowmen, and hot chocolate. I easily felt more of a "winter/holiday-vibe" to this year rather than previous years.

World Racers Summer 2010
Xenophilius Studz replied to The Green Brick Giant's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Racers...with actual minifigs driving them. YES! I've been waiting for this. It no fun to play with the Racers until you have actual minifigs yelling taunts, causing harm to each other, and of course flying off their car. This reminds me of the video games LEGO Racers and LEGO Racers 2, where the racers did compete around the world. I just might have to buy these! At least the small set with two motorcycles firing rockets and dynamite at each other. -
Hah. Yeah, Chris at Reasonably Clever has been doing "Buzzkills" with his Buzz Lightyear minifig and his Construct-a-Buzz. They can scare you sometimes. Excellent review. I'm not quiet sure on the set yet, though. I might get. The non-move-able elbows and knees dock points off. But its freakin' Buzz Lightyear!

What LEGO do you expect under the tree this year?
Xenophilius Studz replied to Legoliner Pilot's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well I had a short Christmas with the relatives, and I got: River Heist Separatist Shuttle and Darth Vader's TIE Fighter Not a bad haul of sets, so far. -
What LEGO do you expect under the tree this year?
Xenophilius Studz replied to Legoliner Pilot's topic in General LEGO Discussion
My family realizes just about all I ask for is LEGO. I know I'm getting: Corporate Alliance Tank Droid Claw Grabber Sports Car I might be getting a LEGO book, either the LEGO Book or LEGO Star Wars book. I also might get LEGO Indy 2 for the the Wii As far as sets go, I asked for Galactic Enforcer Space Truck Getaway Star Wars 2009 battlepacks Separatist Shuttle River Heist Camper Magma Mech Raid VPR Smash n'Grab impulses... My mom went shopping and she said she saw the Toy Story sets and TRU, and see didn't even ask if I wanted any on the phone, even though she knows I love Toy Story. Sheesh. -
The only way your gonna get the beta is if you steal a code of one of LEGO's employee's familes. Hmm. A pity, but I can wait. I've been waiting an extra year for this thing to come out, i can take a little more time for the beta.

If I'm corrected, a free program I use to string my frames together into an animation is Monkey Jam. It works pretty well for me. You can easily import pictures into it and capture from the program. I reccommend Monkey Jam. If you Google it you'll find the site.

Review: #8960 Thunder Driller
Xenophilius Studz replied to paanjang16's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Excellent Review I bought this set way back in January (Its feels like last year, though ) It is an awesome set. I got it, as it being my first PM set, I wanted more! I accidentally discovered that I'm getting another PM set for Christmas, the Claw Grabber! Whats not to love about this set, a giant drill, two awesome miners, a cute-but-deadly-monster, and awesome vehicle!? Has anyone every tried mimicking the commercials and open Firox's mouth wide and attach him to the drill. Its fun to push the Thunder Driller around and have the monster spin rapidly on the drill! -

[KEY TOPIC] LDD feature requests

Amen to that. God, all we want is new pieces, so they give it to us, and spike the prices up 1000%. -
Agents 2010 Sets Rumor
Xenophilius Studz replied to diggitydug's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Just as I suspected. I found this list over at Brickipedia. I want to hope Agents will continue, but I don't think that will happen. I think the same thing about Wikipedia. Most of the information turns out to be accurate.
