I can't make any guarantees, but I have quite a few battle droids in my collection (super and regular) and I've never had any battle droid piece break. The droids have been assembled since I got the sets so some of the battle droids have been put together for 11 years and my blue SBDs have been assembled for 8. My battle droids also have been handled very lightly over the years, which is an important detail. A lot of people have had battle droid pieces break. If you're worried about pieces breaking at all, I would agree that keeping the droids disassembled is the way to go. But like I said, I've never had any problems.

Just thought I'd revive this given that the NHL regular season concluded today. The Sharks got the 1st seed in the West thanks to Detroit beating Chicago this afternoon and play Colorado in the first round. Did your team make the playoffs? Any predictions? I may post some later on.

No you can open it and it's meant to be opened. One of the playability factors that Lego includes is a picture showing a battle droid can be put in the sphere. I don't see why it's a big deal though, you can choose to put a droid in there or not for whatever your purposes. As for the set itself, I thought Lego did a very nice job. The flick fire missiles on the bottom actually sort of look like missiles which is a nice touch and this new tri fighter dwarfs the old one that Lego released a few years ago. Plus it's got a good selection of 2x4 tiles as well. Those sure look nice. And it comes with battle droids which is far better than the hideously over-sized buzz droids. Good set.

I actually use a blush application brush to dust my legos off. It's very effective and the bristles are soft enough that they don't scratch the plastic.

Thankfully those are not real (at least that's how it looks). Pink Boba Fett? Purple Boba Fett? It's hard to come up with worse than the white Boba Fett Lego made, but those would do it, heh.

What kind of chemicals are you talking about? Whenever I've needed to wash a dirty sail, I've soaked it in cold water with a small amount of laundry detergent (no bleach) for a few minutes, then sloshed it around for a few minutes, then let it soak a few minutes more. I'm usually pretty gentle with it because as others have said, repeated heavy agitation will cause the sails to fray. Once I'm happy with the sail, I wash it off well with cold water. Next, I iron the sail to dry it out and keep it straight. This method has never failed me and the colors look great. I can't make any guarantees, but in my experience anything that is safe for colored laundry has worked for Lego sails.

Many sets had different names in varying countries back then. Just like in North America the pirate captain was known as Captain Redbeard and I believe (not 100% sure so someone correct me if I'm wrong) that in Europe he was known as Captain Roger.

There shouldn't be any problems. The only thing that I can think of is that perhaps you didn't push the technic pins in all the way for the wing supports?

After watching Episode III for the first time in awhile yesterday, I think it would be cool for Lego to make a set with Bail Organa's airspeeder including Bail and a couple 501st Legion Clones.

Thanks for the picture! I'll wait until I see more pics before passing final judgment, but as of right now I am very disappointed with that if that is actually the final product. It's a big downgrade from the motorized walker and a huge downgrade from the original. JMO

Possibly, but I personally don't think so. I think it's not listed because Lego doesn't have any in stock. If you look at S@H it's back ordered. Two new sets, Luke's Landspeeder and the Imperial Flagship, are also back ordered and are not listed in the spring catalog. However these sets are nowhere close to being discontinued. I think that's why Endor is not listed in the catalog.

I think the Home One set is going to turn out just like the Cloud City set did. Not particularly popular, overpriced compared to piece count, but with amazing figs and many will waste away on the shelves. Then in 5 years everyone will wish they had bought one, and it will sell for $300+ MISB just like Cloud City does now. To expand on what others have said, I think that any Star Wars set is a safe bet to rise in price in the future regardless of size. Take a look at the 2007 sets for instance. Many of those MISB sell for 200% or more of RRP.

Does anyone think it's at all possible for the AT-AT to be like Home One last year where you don't actually get the vehicle, but you get scenes from inside it? The AT-AT could come with a shield generator, some more of Echo Base and the control station for the AT-AT. I realize this is extremely unlikely though, just throwing it out there.

True, but it also states that Bane's speeder has 318 pieces with a retail price of $550, so those numbers for the AT-AT may or may not be accurate!

In your opinion... I don't follow the cartoon, but I think it was pretty apparent that there had to be the switch at some point. Like was mentioned earlier in the thread, the clones didn't just wake up the at the start of Episode III with new armor. If they really wanted to, they could possibly have hybrid of Phase I and Phase II clones in the cartoon. I don't think that's out of the realm of possibility. All speculation at this point though. But you'd better believe that Lego will make a figure of it at some point. Most likely a battle pack as well, although a CW battle pack doesn't necessarily have to be released next year. There's nothing set in stone about having battle packs alternate between CW and PT/OT and really, there's nothing that says Lego can't release more than 2 in a given year either.

Yeah it's pretty cool, the staff at the Bellevue store are some of the friendliest people you would ever want to meet.

The one I went to did, I was able to buy as many as I wanted for $2.99 each. I've heard other people say they asked and were denied though. Sounds like it depends on the store.

I can assure you that when I was younger, 8 or 9 years old, I used to remove the arms and legs from my minifigures all the time to switch them up. At that age, I was less than careful, but the figs never cracked on me so I think you're good to go. As others have said the legs do get loose fairly quickly, so if you're going to take them apart, I'd just pick out a couple specific leg pieces and use them over and over, maybe even keep them apart when done. In my experience, arms do not get very loose unless the torso is cracked, which unfortunately has happened to a few of my older figs for other reasons.

I somewhat felt the same way. For the ultimate set of the 10th anniversary of Star Wars Legos, it didn't blow me away. Don't get me wrong, it's still a very good set and I'm glad I got it. But I've got mine displayed next to the Republic Cruiser, which was just another ship Lego released, and there's honestly nothing in the Tantive IV that sets it apart from the Radiant VII model.

I've sent change before by taping coins to a piece of paper, making a cross shape over the coins, and then folding the piece of paper a couple times. You have to be careful though, because if your letter is over a certain weight, then postage charges increase. You may just want to round up to the nearest dollar. Also you don't have to send cash via registered mail, I never do when sending say $10 or $15, but when you send cash unregistered, you do so at your own risk.

Yes Lego packages their sets pretty well. On the whole the boxes I receive have no/minor damage. I used to work for USPS as a mail handler so trust me when I say sometimes your package is going to get damaged no matter how nicely a box is packaged. When you move the huge volumes of boxes as companies like USPS and UPS etc do, that's just how it goes.

Of the ones released so far, I really like Barriss, the open helmet clone pilot and the new Hoth Rebels. I'm really looking forward to the Boba Fett and Bossk releases in the summer. Personally I think Aayla's fig looks horrible. How I rue the CW designs...

It's not a generic Mandalorian watch, it's a Boba Fett watch. And they've done plenty of sets featuring Boba Fett figs...

Very cool. The nostalgia factor of those original SW sets is unparalleled.
