  1. The dacta control panel just has the widest amount of control (8 motors and sensors) but old :( Using this http://dan.berladyn.net/LEGO/LEGOocx.html I am trying to get the control panel to fire off events, i thought the event would just be triggered but they dont Anyone got any ideas
  2. Hey there, I been meaning to ask this for a while. So, I read you should not really run more than 2 XL motors off a PF rechargeable battery, however how many should you run off a train controller / Dacta control Lab? What about if you had xl motors running off a nxt? Should you not run more than 2 at a time. I am trying to think of ways to power my robot better and it uses a lot of xl motors
  3. There are soo many models I want, I mean I got a fair collection but there must be over 100-200 models I want to build, i need a bigger house already. How do others manage the lego addiction lol
  4. I built a new ride on vehicle for Brick 2015 at London Excel. It was super popular and I am so tired now (3 day event, 20,000 + people) Uses 10 NTX's 22 motors, rotacaster 125mm wheels! Made in 5 evenings powered by RedBull

  7. So this year I want to make an intelligent LEGO Robot that's the size of a human. While I build it I want to take videos of its progress and get feedback etc Here is my progress so far
  8. I actually want the eyes to change colour but switching modes on the sensor is slow, need to find a different way to do it Also, what would people suggest about the base of the robot / legs, to me its poo! Would people box it up?
  9. It was a bit wobbly, on Sunday I stopped moving it about so much. However remember its 5 foot tall, the fact it never snapped is beyond me :) It could also move a lot faster on the floor but that caused even more wobbly I plan to do another video on what worked and what did not, the lower body (e.g the wobbly bit) was the bit I was most unhappy with. The arms and head worked perfectly :) I would like a rotating torso next :)
  10. I made one women nearly scream as she never knew it moved and then it suddenly looked at her, people where really impressed with how fast its head / arms moved
  11. So I managed to get version 0.1 working for a LEGO Charity show called Bricktastic. It went down really really well. Videoed this when no one was about
  12. Did some more work, its now looking like (sorry its a bit dark) The show is tomorrow!
  13. Yeah, so I use them to make the arms move fast :)
  14. The EV3 Bricks are required to counterbalance the arms
  15. So thanks for the feedback, here is the latest update
  16. So here is the current update, it needs to be finished in under 2 weeks. It uses Lejos 0.91
  17. Sorry for the delay, full speed ahead! Here is a demo of a arm working
  18. Oh that guy is one of my fav builders, so awesome!
  19. OK, has anyone done a nice Mindstorms head, I remember seeing a Chappie one
  20. Thanks for the feedback, So far I have only done structure so looks and improvements to come :) I am going to keep this going until people are not interested I will probably do a video of testing movement, arm, tablet, and head work. Then we can start looking in to the robot seeing things (OpenCV, PixyCam) Whats peoples views on either making a LEGO Head or one with a InMoov face (example below)
