[MOC] Custom Moto Guzzi Based Cafe Racer

Impressive clutch and drive setup! Love the cafe racer style! I would add a bit more to the seat area, looks a little uncomfortable to ride.- 9 replies

Audi RS 5 DTM

Very Awesome build! Love the details on the emblem and the body, you can easily see it's an Audi! One little detail you are missing is the "I love Deutsche Post" front plate. -
Hey! Welcome fellow Illinoisan! You should check out Brickworld! It's in a few weeks! http://www.brickworld.us/

Even the white bricks still look... white! Amazing they didn't yellow! The progress of your cleaning is coming along quite nicely. -

Pfff, don't remind me. I still have tons of details to work out on a bunch of new stuff I'm bringing. Still waiting on three BL orders, will probably need to make a few more last minute orders. -
Once you start building do you find it hard to stop?
Modulex Guy replied to legoman19892's topic in Community
Haven't been at that point before. its more the other way around for me. Do all the important life things first, then I have the late evening/ night to build. I tell myself, oh I'll build for an hour or so, but then hours go by and it ends up being 3AM. But at least errands are done, bills are paid, work is done. Then I have some free time. -
Building a car to fit two minifigs is always a challenge. 6 or 7 wide would be the max size to get the scale right. 8 wide would be too big in my opinion. I haven't found a good way to build both realism, scale, and minifig compatibility. I got stuck to 5 wide and don't even build interiors, let alone space to fit even one fig.

OXYClean will be your best friend for this tough job. It does wonders for smelly LEGO. I use it for the worst, cigarette smelling, nasty bricks. Takes almost all the smell out! -

How large they are? Think of a large beer glass, figuring about 2, 12oz beers can be poured in it, so its a good sized cup! You can easily fit in two, maybe three? into one of the medium flat rate boxes.

Where is the best place to buy a particular brick in bulk?
Modulex Guy replied to Malikon's topic in General LEGO Discussion
If you are in Chicago/Suburbs, you have a few choices of LEGO Stores! Schaumburg (Woodfield Mall) Schaumburg LDC (Streets of Woodfield) Gurnee (Gurnee Mills Mall) Northbrook (Northbrook Mall) Orland Park (Orland Square) Downtown Chicago (Water Tower) plenty of stores to choose! -
Love your work! Doing modern cars is tough with all the complex shapes and curves. The front looks great, the angles of the bumper and grill look like the real car! I would love to park my Mii side by side to your car and compare the two! I also like how we both made regular cars, no Leon Cupra R's or the more sporty trimlines.

This will be my entry for the Miniland SEAT building contest. It is the SEAT Mii City car, based off of a VW UP! Still think I'm going to do some more work on it, but this is what I have so far: Comments Welcome!

Thanks! Too bad they are not held on by anything, mostly pressure form the sides and gravity. It was the only way to pull off the look!

Here is my entry! -
Did a bunch of refinements to my model! Compared to my original model, I changed the whole front end and rear of the car! The front grill is now sloped like the real car, lights are darker, and the lower bumper is more refined. The rear of the car features cheese slope tail lights, the trick to the lights are that they are not connected to anything, they are wedged into the slots, and the top light is just resting on the slope! Not held on by anything! #HipsterStatusRoofRackYo!

Thanks for your input, As of last night, I've already torn into the model and am making some subtle changes, hopefully it will improve it by making it a bit less "boxy".
