Skinny Boy replied to NewRight's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I suppose I could play, but do you have any idea when it could end? I know i'll be very busy after 2 weeks, so I can't be checking this all the time. -
Huge Price Increase for Pick A Brick Items!
Skinny Boy replied to Eurospanol25's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well, this is exceptionally bad news for me, as it was recently discovered/compiled, that Ireland has no PAB's! -
Very interesting Matn. Definitely one of my favourite zombie situatiuons I cannot believe you brought that up. Twas my first thought on seeing this creation. I only saw that a few weeks ago, and I'll give a fair warning to anyone who wants to see it. Though i'd say the book is great.

Sorry I didn't get to comment last night on this wonderful creation! I must say I love the oven, and the inclusion of me is very much appreciated And the Guinness crates upstairs? Brilliant. Which building will be next?

A City Block eh? Interesting. Could work, with time... Thanks! Thanks BlueBard! I always love hearing from you So glad you replied Hinck. Now then. Just to point out, 'twas never meant to be a military base, merely a scene in the Middle East for a battle to take place. Sorry if I caused some confusion there. I have decided to use it for the contest, because; 1: I've realised i'm now low on bulk coloured bricks. If I were to keep this as a city MOC and make another entry, I would be quitting fairly soon. 2: I don't want to break this (who would? ) to make a different entry. When i've taken pics of my entry, and everythings been sorted, it will definitely be turned into a City creation. I don't quite know what to say about the white floor and windows. I've already changed them to light gray window frames (to better suit the military theme, don't make me explain), but theres not much I can do about the floor. I'm already getting a bunch of ideas for what to use this for after the comp. I might add a poll later with a few of my favourites to see what others think. And oh yes, thanks!

100% Irish, and proud to be proud of it. I mean, who wouldn't want to live in a country that was the Top Rank in the Quality of Life Index in 2005? Cool topic BTW

Can't recall any of my gold printed torsos wearing away. Oh and, 'Ruskie'? Really?

Inspired by the Military Contest on Flickr, I decided to make an entry. I haven't started on the actual diorama yet, but I have made a light support helicopter to be used in it. Based on the "Little Bird", see these three pics. Enjoy!: Cockpit: Right side: Left Side: The miniguns: The three sections dismantled, though the base can come off the landing gear: Placing the roof section on: This was a fun and interesting build for me. It is my first ever '5' wide MOC, and one of my only few to utilize such an odd SNOT technique (the roof/cockpit). I tried basing the windscreen on the pics as much as possible, which explains why the hole and lines are there. I am currentl trying to anchor the roof part to the back somehow. Very tricky business. Thanks for looking!

Thanks Pep. I'm not good at making them either. This is only the second chopper i'm proud of, and yet i'm still modding parts of it Thanks Asuka. Yes, the part on top is rather small, but I suppose I have some kind of reason. With the roof's width being 5 studs, the engine under the rotor had to be less. I really didn't feel like coming up with another system of expanding 3 studs to 4 studs and keeping it centred in 5 studs, so I left it the way it is.

Oh great, another TRU exclusive Thanks for the info, but no thanks to the store

I'd be interested in seeing if a forum ever does come our way, but for now, its not that important. BTW Bricks, there are better words in relation to filming than 'workshop' (which is already in use for the Minifig Customization Workshop forum title) For example...'Studio'

New products on Brickforge
Skinny Boy replied to Bonaparte's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Yay! Finally! I've been waiting for the crowbar and baton for a while, and now I can order.... when I get the money -
Unfortunately one was started in the other themes, but it was for a creation. Happy Paddy's day everyone!

Happy Paddy's day everyone! Heres a parade walker, sporting the flag (only if I had gotten the green Exo-Force hair )
-
Just lovely Bluebard! I especially like the upstairs interior! Keep the great creations coming!

Were these real LEGO adverts?
Skinny Boy replied to Minifig Lecturer's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think the first pics are great! No idea how people could find them offensive The ones Bricks posted... well, may have been funny for some at some point, but why Bricks, why did you post them? You yourself say they are horrible, and so you share them? -
Three's Company in Cedar Bay.
Skinny Boy replied to Skinny Boy's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Nope, all genuine printed torsos. You could ask for it in the Decal Wishlist topic -
B-RV-4A To kick off my return to City building, I had to make somewhere for each of my figs to live, hide or hang out. I chose Carl (once an assassin, now turned truck driver) first. To try and escape his past, Carl moved to a tiny cabin in the middle of Cedar Bay's woods. Only thing is, he had to keep his truck nearby, so its not as secluded as he'd hoped. Enjoy!: The Cabin: The Cab (of his truck. modded 7900) : The connection point (of cab and trailer) : The Trailer (modded Scuderia Truck) : And a pic of Carl and Butch (his dog) heading into the woods, to partake in his only hobby - Hunting: Thanks for looking!

These look really cool Shoc! I love the Riddlers torso, looks very clean, though the face doesn't work for me. Whom did you base him on? (from a movie, series, the game?) I also love the Indy torso and face mod. Well done!

Welcome Talin! Always great to have more Irish members here. I hope to see some of your Castle themed creations soon, and hear the stories you have made

Thanks everyone! The reason I didn't take an overall pic is because i'm building in an area that is very hard to photograph. Heres a crappy pic though (you can see the tv! ) : This pic leads to the second point: the details-trees, plants etc. As you can see, the truck is parked right by the cabin, and must drive very close by it every time. If I threw in a bunch of plants, they would simply get run over. The trees, are in the left background (another reason for not taking an overall pic: I didn't put them on the right ) Yep, those are trees My very cheap and (in)effective way of making them! But I really love how they work as a background. Like in the last pic of my first post. Nearly nothing is visible behind them. Thanks for the suggestions, but I hope you understand now why they weren't there already

I'd like to be a part of this I'll PM you a pic and some info
-
I would have to agree they are getting better (all the ti-ee-ime!). For instance, I saw these three great minifig's that will all be featured in the new Agent's Mecha. Though the Mech doesn't impress me, the rest does!

Other Themes MOC Index Discussion Thread
Skinny Boy replied to Shadows's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Theres actually loads to be indexed. I think I have 32-33 relevant topics that could be indexed. Hinck will probably remember me bugging him before. Not trying to be rude, just pointing something out. -
Wow, thats some interesting news there Mark. Thanks for the info I think this will be frontpaged soon To me, they look awfully small. It may help in making odd curvy tracks, but will that help in the matter of being able to place tracks on studs/baseplates?
