With my return to Trains/Town interest, I had to update my figs. I plan on making a comic with them (eventually), but fro now, I hope to just make a 'hangout' of sorts for all of them. Enjoy: Gangs In Cedar Bay, you'll have to deal with one of the three ruling and rival gangs sometime. The Tegguttsi Family: Been around since the 30's, when life was good. The most respected gang in the city, known for taking care of their own. Shown (Left to right): Chris - Well mannered Cappo. Don Torino - The Head of the family Franky - Cheeky, fun-loving son of Torino The Bargotti Clan: Only formed recently, when Vinny (the leader) left the Tegguttsi Family for his own interests. Known for their fast and tough means of disposal. Shown: Soldier Vinny Bargotti - The head of the clan. A clever man trying to outsmart two other families, but is always looking for the main goal: money. Barry - Vinny's right-hand-man. Always by his side when needed. The Eastern Outfit: First noted around 12 years ago, but have only rose to power in past 5. Not much is known about this gang, only their creative ways of dealing with offenders. Shown: Ivan - The outfits toughguy. Ain't afraid of nobody. Not, to be messed with. Vlad - The outfits head. Rarely seen outside their turf. Boris - Vlad's nephew, and current informant on all affairs concerning the outfit. Locals Merchants: Not all 'owners' of businesses, but good to know if you intend on spending money. Shown: Chip - Young adult blackjack dealer. Some say he has a nack for it, so he tried making it as a champ, but only got as far as 'Lucky Jacks' casino. Doc. S. - Veteran of 2 foriegn wars, and now proprieter of Military antiques. A friendly salesman, but sometimes confusing to deal with. Jimmy - Bartender at Mac's bar. Too young to realise what troubles there are in the city, but he plays along nicely. Utensils: Named for the reason that they can be used for certain things. Shown: Carl - Once a proffessional assassin, but now a simple Truck Driver. Can help with 'taking care' of people, or just haulin' goods. Jerry L. - Current photographer for local newspaper. Can help catch people in the act, and diminish any reputation, with the power of the people press. Officer Smith - Always good for help (he is a cop), but usually asks for some dough. Streets: Just some guys who'll always know the latest scoop. Shown: Unknown - Spotted mugging several people. Always up to no good. Roger - The man to see for anything. Everybody knows Rog, yet noone ever knows where to find him. Johnny 2 - Known drug dealer. Can be trusted, but regularly has to deal with the cops. Noone knows where the '2' in his name came from. Wannabe's: A bunch of wannabe gang members. Call themselves the gang. All they do is rob the bank as much as possible. So far, not associated with at all. Shown: Member Leader Member The New Blood Tony and Nico: Both new to Cedar Bay. First met at Doc's antiques, whilst both trying to purchase a gun. Nico got it, so Tony settled for a knife. Shown: Tony - Real quiet guy. Most people have gotten to know him, especially the Tegguttsi's, who like his style. He says he works alone. Nico - From Eastern Europe, looking for a job. The Eastern Outfit seem to know him, and are trying to recruit him. Notes: Before anyone asks (or screams at me, thinking I'm the stupid one here), yes, some of these characters/names are based on people from Grand Theft Auto 4. Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the find. That stop-motion camera better be cheap!

The effects of longterm lego building to your hands.

The old cracked fingernail, but the tips seem fine to me. -
If you missed Part 1, read it here. Now then. Part 2: All Systems Reveal. Carl and Hank took their images on file to the Mayor's office. Mayor: "Good evening men. Have you found the armory's most recent visitors?" Carl: "Sorry sir. It'd be impossible for us to find anyone down there, and even harder for someone to want to live there." "What's that supposed to mean?" "Have you seen what the lower levels look like sir?" "Well of course I have. I am the mayor trooper. So, what do you have to tell me?" Carl: "Here. We got some images to show you." Mayor: "What, did you find a rare flower or something?" "No sir, we found a man called 'Smack'. And some other interesting finds." "But no criminals?" "Eh no. After you see these images, I think the armory'll be the last thing on your mind sir." "Ok, well lets have a look then." Mayor: "Wha'... good god. What has happened down there?" "See what I mean?" Mayor: "Sweet Lord! What is that?!" "That sir, is Smack's best friend." (looking at more images) "Alright alright. I've seen enough!" Mayor: "Get these things outta here! Have them destroyed. I never want to see or hear of this again!" Hank: "But sir, these should be seen by our top scientists! We can't just forget about them! Look at the ground!... Its freekin' green!" "Don't you raise your voice at me sonny! Now get out! I am a very busy man. I don't need pointless matters filling up my schedule." Carl: "Sir? You can't be serious? That thing is a mutant. A mutant! Wandering around down there. How do we know its not attacking anything?" "Look, fellas. If you don't leave this second, you'll be down there mapping out the depths for the next five years. So, you wanna risk being attacked by 'mutants', everyday? Or do you wanna leave?" Hank: "So now what?" Carl: "Get Sheila on the phone. These are going on every tv station, newspaper and busstop in the city." "What? He'll know it was us. Don't be stupid Carl." "So it was us, was it? Well, what if we got mugged on the way home?" "Its the mayor man!" "Its a mutant, Hank." And thats part 2. Thanks for looking!

(Hi there. Some of you may have read my Post-Apoc story 'Enough'. Well here I am with an even better story (it actually goes somewhere!), set in the not too distant future. With inspiration from: Fallout 3, I robot, V for Vendetta, Project Eden, and other places, I hope you'll like it as much as I've enjoyed writing and building. Well, here it is: Space-Time Confidential!) Prologue: Cedar Bay, 2034. The City is booming. People are enjoying happy lives. A new Government and Economy are proving more than successful, but nobody's perfect. The City's crime remains ever popular, with last nights raid on the City's Elite Guard Armory causing panic among citizens. A city-wide search has just been undertaken to find those responsible, and to retrieve all stolen arnaments. 2 Troopers were issued a mapping droid, and given the 1 in a millionth chance task, to search the lowest levels of the city. Part 1: Searching For Discovery. Troopers Carl Grant and Hank McFarlane were the two sent downstairs. Carl: "Hank, why is the ground green?" Hank: "I dunno man, but that ain't no grass. But I can see why we were sent down here: I can't see a thing." "Same here, oh wait. Theres some kind of bridge here. And I think I see a fence." "Well get movin' then." Hank: "Wow. I can see nothing from up here." "Come on man, whats on the other side of this fence?" Carl: "HEY! Don't you move a muscle!" "What? What is it? Is it him? Or them?" Carl: "Buddy, put that down and step towards me." "Now, who are you? What were you doing? And what on earth is going on here?!" "Well, I don't remember my real name. People started calling me 'Smack' around ten years ago. I was getting a drink, and what do you mean 'whats going on'?" "Ok, Smack... I mean, why is the ground green, and why is there such a big fog around? Are you saying you've been down here for ten years?" "Naw, I only came down here about a year and a half ago. I dunno about the fog, but I was told the ground is green from the acid rain pile up some years back. Seeped into the soil, destroyed everything. Even startin' to get through the buildin' right there." "Acid rain? I doubt that was what did all this. Hank?" Hank: "Hmm, I say we get the droid in, get some pics, and show 'em to the Mayor." "Good idea. Smack, we'll be back here in a few minutes. Start practicin' your smiles." The Troopers later returned and photographed everything in sight. They left to show it to the Mayor. Well, thats the end of part 1. Hopefully i've intrigued at least one person. Stay tuned, but then again, I have no clue when the next part could be. Thanks for looking!

Thanks Natman! I always like to keep a bit of comedy in everything. Glad I intrigued you Ricecracker. I was thinking of having this involved with Enough, but I doubt they'll have any connection (other than my city's name). Thanks! BTW Part 2 was shot today, so expect it up later!

Well, I think this is my first topic in this forum, so be gentle. I've seen that literally loads of people lately have started sorting their Lego collections. I've also noticed that in order to do that, they've broken up most sets and creations. And then to build a future creation, would eventually lead to breaking and sorting itself. This got me thinking. I thought of building something so big, that it used up all (or as close to as possible) of the pieces in your collection. This then lead me to the Space forum. My main theme interests are Town and Military, so I could easily come up with the idea of a giant town and military base, but, what will I do with all those SW sets? Seriously? To follow my main theme interests, i'd be leaving out a fair amount of my collection (a lot of which I still love) from the giant creation. So, my combination of Town/City MOCs and sets, and SW sets made Space seem like the best theme to build in. Also the fact that I have only a few colours in bulk, for buildings, streets etc. Now then, to build, or not to build? That is the question. I mean, destroying nearly a whole collection (its only about 10-12 years worth ) to make one giant MOC, it has its ups and downs. It would free up space all around the house (putting everything in one place), Might destroy some great old memories OR make several new ones!, Could be an amazing MOC (see here for my main inspiration ), Would be so fun to make! - as i've said, Space and Mecha combines so many different themes, and allows pretty much every piece to be used: Old Historic stuff-Make a museum!, Regular Modern Day stuff-Keep it around (not everything has to be futuristic), and of course the Actual Space Stuff-Use it to your hearts content! Plus, the fact that a futuristic city could be in ruins, a war, or booming with success! Phew, that sure tired me out. So, i'm not going to ask you all to tell me whether I should or should not destroy my collection to build this (no matter how much encouragement I get ), I'm just going to ask if you agree; Is Space the Ultimate Theme? i.e. does it allow for anyone to build, have such great flexibility, the ability to host several other themes. Now, goodnight

Thanks for the replies everyone, though I wish ithadn't turned into a fight about MM I've decided to build a series of Space MOCs (after a contest has ended) and see if I enjoy the build as much as i've enjoyed thinking of the ideas in my head. All I can say is I've got some really great inspiration from 2 games, and 2 movies. Lets still hope I can make something original! Thanks!

Thanks for this Eilif! Really informative, and will certainly be remembered by me when if I get to a PAB with cups. Aww, poor you. I wish they'd put a PAB in Ireland!

What Does Your April Fool Do For A Living VOTING!

Find x, when y=14.07124728 (y)^2 - 2x = x 66 -
Well, yeah I suppose. The seasons definitely have an affect on my mood, which in turn would make me want to build. I may build better when i'm happier, but maybe I would'nt necessarily build a happier creation when i'm feelin good

When was your dark age and why did you get back into building LEGO?
Skinny Boy replied to user's topic in Community
May be forced into one with the current economic recession. Just look at this! -
Well, it sounds interesting, but I doubt i'd want to buy one. Also, what practical use other than measuring out space on say, a table, for a 22 stud squared creation? You know what I mean, is there much need for something to measure studs when they're not that hard to count Good luck with selling though.

Problem with "Remember Me" function?
Skinny Boy replied to Derek's topic in Forum Information and Help
I realised now I'm having issues with logging in. I never reset my cookies when the site moved some time ago, and since then I have been logging in every time I came to the site. Now, its kinda random. Like this morning, I went onto EB, and I was already logged in. Its not a problem, just starting to give me false hope that it may happen again -
I haven't had the privelege to buy any City sets recently, with the modulars being too expensive, and the classic's, well, where are they? I voted no, since I really prefer playability in the Classic style. Then again, I have no idea if they fit well together or not!

Dr Steve: 3 - Makes me laugh no matter how many times I see it! Toutouille: 2 - Such a great idea, and very well done considering the lack of Pirate pieces. Infomaniac: 2 - Really great scene with the upstairs meeting, and the downstairs battle :pir-skull:

Sorry, I was just wiping my face clean of vomit. €50? Thats just too many profanities in one. Simon, seriously? Interesting. But sort of unreliable. -
