My favourites are: Death Star Star Destroyer Tantive I wish Lego could make a malevolence. It's a really beautiful ship.

Thank you for the suggestion but the only reason I moved to Mac was to get away from Windows really. I'd rather wait until a PDF version of instructions for a Venator comes out than install Windows again. I dont mean to sound big headed or anything but it's just a personal choice.

I emailed the website today and the creators explained that it is made to run on Windows only.

You have done a superb job Anio. I gave up in the end although i didnt want to. MLCAD is not available for Mac and I downloaded LDView instead. But that seemed a bit complicated to me to use. All I could see was the finished version of each part so I couldnt make up which brick went where. Shame coz I was really looking forward to building this one.

cavegod sorry to be so thick but can I get these apps from the internet?

Anio: do you happen to know what application to use in order to open the MLCAD files please?

Can I ask what application do I open the MLCad folder files with please? I use an iMac and when I click on the folder it asks me to choose an application to open it with... I love the new figures. The more detail the better for me. It creates more variety. The "old style" figures started to become a bit monotonous and repetitive in my opinion. I have the whole collection of all the Lego Star wars ever made framed and when I look at it I cant help but notice that the new line of minifigs has added a hell of a lot of beautiful vibrant color as well as shapes. I just wish Lego would make a few versions of Queen Amidala in her lovely costumes.

I have decided to build General Grievous' ship Malevolence. I have bought all of the bricks but I am struggling to find one at the moment. I am pretty sure there will be plenty on Bricklink but since I dont know the name of this brick I am not able to search for it. Has someone got one for sale please? I have attached a picture for reference.

Thank you very much indeed mate. Very much appreciated. -
Ah, nice one. That's what I have been looking for as well for ages. My only worry is if the stands would be able to hold the Venator republic attack cruizer and the imperial cruizer?
-
A possible bug? When I go to the Star wars forum the 2010 sets rumor thread only shows 45 pages instead of 294 and no matter which page I click on in that thread it only shows the first page.

No, I was mainly referring to some of the pillars that hold the ships up in the air (like the one supporting Plo Koons fighter). It's made of clear acrylic and is quite low profile.

Show Your Army, Navy, and Collection Display

Thank you very much indeed matey. I will have a go at this one. Will have to buy the parts from Lego shop first. It's just going to be a nightmare to count all the different bricks needed. It would have been nice if Lego had included a brick inventory with the instructions. PS: Managed to write down a brick inventory for the Malevolence. Have bought most of them from Lego shop however struggling to find some of them. Anyone knows where I may be able to buy lego bricks please? I apologize in advance if this is slightly off topic. -

Klausunion, what is that long and thin blue and gray ship standing next to general Grievous? Is it a custom? Never seen it before. -
I like the new Grievous and think it is very realistic. Much more so than its predecessor. I suppose Lego has realized that they have to move on with the times and produce better and more detailed figurines. I'd rather have the new figures than the same figure with just a different costume.

How about a chrome battle droid? Those poor 'creatures' hardly get a mention despite being in every single episode. And if they werent there the jedis would have nothing to slaughter and get bored ...lol

Excellent reviews. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading them all. Has Season 2 started? I keep checking on Cartoon Network but cant see anything (I'm in the UK by the way).

In several scenes Padme has been dressed in beautiful costumes and i hope we get something like that rather than the usual boring costumes we have got her in so far.

I suppose each to their own but personally if i buy a chocolate i buy it to eat it and not to look at it. The same with Lego, i buy it to enjoy the product and not the box, so i open th straight away, enjoy building the set and displaying it and the minifigures. In the end though most of the time i sell the sets and just keep the minifigs that i want. I only keep landmark sets. But on the other hand i can also understand the reasoning behind the more 'hardcore' collectors keeping the sets in box unopened. So as they say 'whatever turns you on' really. The only thing lost is the retail value that they would have in the future amongst collectors

Rocky: In the picture before last there is a box with a large Y wing fighter pilot picture on it. Do you know what number that set is? I presume it is made by lego? -
KimT I also have the full collection of the minifigures so if you need any pics i would be happy to send you some. I posted some pics of my collection on the "Show your army collection" (i think it is called that) thread.

I have the original one. It is around 2-3 milimetres taller than princess Leia as a slave. I dont consider that taller. And the legs and arms are the same as those of a droid (dont know why i got confused with a clone before).
-
I hope we get a Jango Slave 1. There has been a few Bobas around and Jango has only been made once. hopefully a new Jango coming out will knocks the ridiculously high prices it fetches on ebay down. I also hope that TLC makes a GG figure with a decent body. The current one has the body of a clone and it is normal height. G G should be taller than the Jedi figurines.
