You guys whinge too much. If you live in Australia, the postage from anywhere is expensive. Not just LEGO. If you live in Australia, it physically takes longer for things to arrive. Solution? Move to Europe or USA. RRP is RRP. Do you complain you earn 1.5x what the average American earns? No you don't. This is a sales forum. Lets stick to sales postings.

The major retailers are realising that all that money spent on national advertising isn't making them back the money they were hoping for with the massive discounts they've been giving. LEGO may have been used as loss leaders in the past??

Hey all, I was having a chat with a business associate who works in Aussie television (can't say which one yet!) that wants to look for a married couple in which one is an avid Lego collector and their partner isn't so enthusiastic. They think it will make great TV and I think it'll be a fantastic opportunity to show off ye' old LEGO COLLECTION to the world once you YouTube it for us and the rest of the internet cos well.. who really watches tv at the scheduled time these days anyways! hehe From what I hear, you put aside one day with you and your partner for filming and you get to win a prize if the judges think you're the most deserving. (Hopefully the prize is Lego related if the Lego nut wins lol. I haven't asked yet but will ask if there's any interest.) Looks like TRU is having a sale too with 5 lego products listed. Not worth a check of their online catalogue. There doesn't look like any discount but it has a cloud over each item that says "HOT PRICE". It makes you feel so rorted!
