    [MOC] Aquanauts - Listening Post

@Mr Maniac Well, there is interior space, but not much and there isn't really anything in there. But you could fit more than 1 fig in, it would be cramped though.
  3. My Aquazone builds keep increasing, yesterday I made a new one: The Aquanauts listening post is used to detect those Aquasharks, mostly build in remote locations where many crystals can be found. Feedback is always welcome. Aquanauts - Listening Post by Ids de Jong, on Flickr

    [MOC] District-7 - SEGA Arcade

Debating a bit where to post this, but futuristic town/cyberpunk city is still a city technically, so I'm posting this building here. A small retro SEGA arcade is still standing and doing business in district 7. In the time of full VR and AR tech there are still people gaming the old way. An old mascot is still standing proudly in the window of the store. -- The second building for my cyberpunk city, situated next to the ramen corner: District-7 - Ramen corner District-7 - SEGA Arcade by Ids de Jong, on Flickr

    [MOC] The Sacred Bridge

The Sacred Bridge, leading to the Inari shrine. The Kitsune (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kitsune) is drinking by the river. And many animals are observing the traveling monk, while he walks on the sacred bridge leading to the shrine. The blue birds are supposed to be Red-flanked bluetails, and the other bird is a Japanese Crane (Red-crowned Crane). Inspiration for this build, is the various red Japanese bridges leading to a shrine or other sacred place, this one was based on the Shinkyo Bridge leading to the Futarasan Shrine in Nikko, which I visited in 2020. [MOC] Lost on the bazaar at sunset (updated)

@brimbolet yeah you can miss it when a lot of new topics are created or someone replies to a bunch of older topics at once. But thanks for your comment, I also very pleased with how the last picture turned out.

    [MOC] The Sacred Bridge

@SirBlake Thanks. @Feuer Zug Thank you. @Viper Knight For me it's a (big) fox whatever Lego is calling it, but in the end a Kitsune is a shape-shifting yokai (japanese demon) so it doesn't really matter. @hoppa Thanks, I thought mixing it up would work quite nicely, the snow would not cover every area the same.

    LEGO Ideas Stargate (take 2)

Very nice. What's your idea about the included wormhole, because without it, it would look a bit empty. Maybe it would be nice if a DHD could be included to make the other side of the gate.

Thanks @tiledfloor. @MontyMatte Indeed it was. But after seeing some more entries in the summer joust contest I redid the photo and background editing: Sunset at the bazaar by Ids de Jong, on Flickr

Yeah, I like all the year 2 and 3 shields a lot, those are some useful shields to make custom figs.
  15. At Majisto's academy of advanced magic, the students learn about portal magic for the first time. Apparently they forgot the rule about making one in the ceiling directly above them and then one on the floor where they were standing... - Inspiration for this build, if not clear is the Portal game of course, where you create portals to solve the levels in the game. - Build for the Summer Joust 2022 12x12 vignette category. [MOC] Majisto's advanced portal magic class

@MAB Thanks, I tried the portal on the ceiling directly above the one in the floor, but I could not fixate it there properly. @Piraten Thanks. @MontyMatte Thank you, I have been collecting for a long time, most of those books are from the first wave of the Harry Potter sets I own, and I believe those brown ones I bought loose a long time ago. @Captain Braunsfeld Thanks. @Triceron Thanks, yes that lizard is from a Frozen polybag.

@MontyMatte Thanks, I used many reference pictures to build it.
  18. Marko is just about to try and return to the river to catch some more fish, while Sascha is drying the previous catch. A small furry friend is looking with anticipation waiting for Sascha to leave. -- Will probably be part of a larger layout together with https://flic.kr/p/2mMtevr -- It started out as a tryout to use a post-and-beam technique and evolved to this house. The stone base of the house is 10x10, with some jumper magic, the bottom of the house is 9x9, before expanding to the front to 10x9 studs for the floors above and the roof. [MOC] Majisto's advanced portal magic class

@SirBlake Thanks, yeah it uses an awful lot of plates making the wall like this, I won't be using it on something bigger. I believe around 600~800 plates in total, this small vignette uses really many pieces. The ceiling also uses 81, 1x1 in medium nougat, so I'm easily over a 1000 parts. @Mencot Thank you. @woodford86 Thanks, yeah, those launcher bricks line up nicely with some plates to get a nice continuous pattern.

[MOC] Silvaridis, the forest wizard home

@MontyMatte Thanks, I looked up some magical/fantasy forest dwellings, and I believe I saw a white building somewhere and used that idea to build this house. The shape of the house is different though and the rest of the build (lantern/fences) and plants/minifig is just my own imagination.

[MOC] Lost on the bazaar at sunset (updated)

@NOD Thanks. @MAB Thanks, really wanted to add some storks to the build as I saw them on some reference pictures I used. @GeoBrick Thanks, Yeah I had to build parts upside down to get the desired effect, which was a bit tricky to figure out, but it looks great now. @Triceron yeah we need some more/new Arabian sets for more specific parts. @hoppa Thank you, I used a lot of reference pictures to get as close as possible for the size I was going for. @Feuer Zug Thanks.
