Second Battle of Beruna: Aslan's How
Emperor Claudius Rome replied to SlyOwl's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
This is so sweet, i'll have to make up a word to decribe it: Spectaculirifec. Though the tamalerans might have been done better (I don't bame you fro not wanting to spend like 70$ on armada helmets) But besides that i give you out of five -
My first real moc. Sorry if the pictures are blurry. A little backstory: Captain Swizy McBalkan is famous for his large crew. But he is now getting more inexpirenced men. As a solution, in the barrens of northern Quebec, he opened a special camp were his new recruits can train in the pirate arts. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/RomanCla...Pirates/046.jpg This is were the new crewmen choose there weapons. From dagger to hand-cannon http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/RomanCla...Pirates/047.jpg This is were crew take aim (The captain also added some "inspiring" headgear to the targets) http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/RomanCla...Pirates/048.jpg This is for melee practise. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/RomanCla...Pirates/049.jpg Burn them, BURN THEM ALL! http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/RomanCla...Pirates/050.jpg Wall climbing 101. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/RomanCla...Pirates/052.jpg 2 ship cannons and a stolen british Quarter pounder With cheese http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/RomanCla...Pirates/053.jpg The captain and his ladys http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/RomanCla...Pirates/045.jpg And an overview. Thats it. Hoped you guys at CP like it

Romans or Greeks/Spartans
Emperor Claudius Rome replied to Emperor Claudius Rome's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I just got other things that would be good with romans. Lego could do some generic storyline like "One of the senaters wants to take the position of emporer, so he hires a group of barbarians to attack The borders. We could get a nice senators toga (With a purple stripe) Also, the way lego usually goes, they might make 2 kinds of soldier, Regular (With a red and silver colour scheme) and special guards (Blue and gold scheme). Lego might also make three differnet helmets (Legionary, Stereotypical one with the plume, and a centurions). And Lego could reprint on those troll shields. -
What are you talking about? Mel Gibson always sacrafices History for epicness. Look at apocolypto, he portrayedthe mayans more like the aztecs. Woad (The blue paint mel was wearing) Was from before that age. A Plad kilts appeared much later.

Romans or Greeks/Spartans

Okay, I know a lot about romans and greeks, and firstly, not every aspect of roman life copied the greeks. Most parts of roman culture was stolen from the Etruscans, a civilization that lived in northern italy. Gladiatoring, was taken from a Etruscan funeral tradition. Not to be mean buddy fwend, but you need to check before you say things. -
I they do, someone needs to remake that scene from "Braveheart"

Romans or Greeks/Spartans

Thanks klaus, anyway... If they did make romans, they wouldn't give the barbarians actual names, just call them Barbarian warriors. -
Romans or Greeks/Spartans

Romans or Greeks/Spartans

First of all, Greeks mostly fought Eastern warriors, and the concept of them fighting persians would cause iranian government to do something severe (They might sue lego, or they might nuke billund) Secondly, no there wasn't gladiators in ancient greece. You might be confused with the olympics. But the olympics were an event were greek men competed in games with other greek men in the nude, and gladiatoring was battle between slaves, POW's and criminals, TO THE DEATH!!! -
Here are a couple links to some really good brickfilmers on youtube. Captain Bulldog Philosopher Shale Zack MG Nathan Wells Metomunc Enjoy

Romans or Greeks/Spartans
Emperor Claudius Rome replied to Emperor Claudius Rome's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Remember, the vikings was an "Epic fail". Asking this might seem like asking beetween a sailors or a pirate theme. Rape and plunder all the way! The greeks were a lot less cruel than the Bad inaccuracy filled movie 300 portayed. Also, i don't think most kids know what the Trojan war was. They know about romans fighting barbaric invaders. Thanks to books like How to speak Dragonese (Only exeption was they Babarians were vikings but you get the idea) -
