    40125 x2 Mod

That looks nice, it hasn't taken long for all these different variants to appear!

    40125 x2 Mod

Thanks again for the comments and the nice alternate perspectives it. Yes it consists of pieces from both sets, no extras added on from elsewhere. With the way mine is right now there are a few bits left. I class this as a Christmas decoration so will have to dismantle it come new year so I'll make some instructions while I'm at it.

    Blacktron GenX

Thanks, yes I admit quite a bit of X Wing going on there! I have done the main pictures, may add a few more possibly. Some space scene ones and possibly different Blacktron colour schemes.

Thanks! The other cat is in the picture, next to the fireplace underneath the table, admittedly not as easy to see. I didn't want to leave the other cat out as I wanted Santa to have more company!

I'll post more shots later when I get the chance, however for now I'll give a shot of the finally completed model. This took me a lot of time to get it how I felt passable. Especially how there are a lot of Allied Avenger inspired spacecraft. Finally in the last few days, I have completed it after much editing, probably the longest time yet I've spent fiddling about with one moc! GenX probably sounds odd to some, however it just seemed to fit for me. I'll post more pictures soon, hope you enjoy this for now and like the model.

Hi everyone. It has been ages since I have really done anything Lego related. Hopefully I will get some more stuff up at some point. Anyway for now, I decided to do something at least. I liked the look of the seasonal 40125 set, however on it's own it looked a bit empty and lonely. So I decided to buy two and modify it to make it much bigger. Here is the result, hope you enjoy.

Many thanks for the positives. Thanks! To be honest I don't mind the colour of the guns below the ship and the guns in general, it is one thing on the Lego model and also the other interpretations from the thread other people did that I quite liked. I did make the cone at the end bigger as I used a 4x4x2 one for it. I did however consider doing them in the blue and grey to make it match the ship, and I just have done as an alternate version which I'll show later. I'm all for doing a few different variations so I'll do one with something else on instead of guns as you mentioned. Most likely after some thinking I'll put some small warp nacelles on instead. When it comes to a new passion after Blacktron, yes and no. To be honest I don't think Blacktron will end as to me it is a excellent theme to do stuff on, however I know that always doing Blacktron will probably get a bit predictable and boring after a while for everyone, so I'm up for exploring other themes too and modernizing them from time to time. So yes, doing some Classic Space like this is a start of something new and a nice refreshment. The colour scheme is great to work with, and while I wasn't even born during the entire time Classic Space was around I do like it. I'd like to make my own interpretation of 70816 at some point, although that will take a while to figure out and do I reckon. And now more pictures of the model.

I've not really done anything Classic Space MOC wise and thought this would be a good chance to do one with the recent Lego Movie and return of classic space and space somewhat in general with the sets that are going to be released, which I'll be buying for my collection. Anyway, while I like the large Spaceship (70816), I personally prefer the smaller one as seen in the promo poster in this thread. I decided to make my own version/interpretation of it. It is different from the Lego version as I like to make my stuff streamlined, as well as some of the details being a bit different, however hopefully it stays faithful to the original while also offering a personal flavour to it. Here it is, I'll get more pictures up in time. Hope you like it.

    Some Image Refreshing/Revamping

Hi everyone, Things have been busy lately with starting work and such, so in terms of anything new MOC wise it has been rather silent. However before I introduce any new MOC's, one thing I had been meaning to do was ever since getting POV-Ray to work and making my last MOC with, I felt it would be a good idea to give the full POV-Ray treatment to all the previous models I had done in Ldraw. They look rather dated in comparison so I felt it would look better and more consistent to update and refresh them. I have now finally finished it which means the next thing when I get the chance is to look forward and introduce new MOC's. The next one is still a big ship which is not far off completion. For now though here are the new revamped images hopefully worthy of the 21st century! 02 - Meteor Monitor Remake (2013) 03 - Blacktron Insector 04 - Blacktron Demon 05 - Blacktron Stealth

    [MOC] Blacktron Stealth

Thank you for the replies, glad you like it. It is possible to make color changes via certain dyes, they do the windscreen in a clear transparent version so putting that with the right dye in yellow would work, I also read somewhere about someone using a certain type of color pen of some sort to make this very type of windscreen yellow. It was one of those Blacktron SLAM miniships it was done on I think, it is on FlickR. In other news, I am also when I get the chance planning to replace the current pictures with newer ones of the POV Ray rendered model, I'll be doing this to all the previous models I made pre POV Ray (apart from the first one which I brick built) and will update the thread pictures accordingly over time for each. Who knows some of the models may get made for real but right now that's not possible.

Sorry about that, was doing some rearranging and had been meaning to reshow the pictures, all of which have now been restored and are visable in the review.

    Blacktron Revenger

Thanks! POV-Ray is a lifesaver when it comes to making Lego creations when you aren't able to make it in bricks, thanks for suggesting it again in my other MOC thread. Thanks, glad you like it. I admit this is simple, although at the same time out of what I have made so far it is one of my personal favourites, mainly because it flowed and came together well when designing it. I've got good news for you based on your suggestions, as my next Blacktron MOC I am working on (I'm about 80-85% there with it), which I will next be releasing, is the biggest ship I have done, it is large, larger than anything else I have done so far which has been on the small to medium scale. Think about it along the lines of the Scimitar from Star Trek Nemesis type, so basically a sort of boss ship. Piece count when done is going to be around 1500 parts. I can picture it with these Revengers flying around it. The hangar bay for this current MOC is a fantastic idea, might be a while but a Blacktron hangar bay full of Revengers sounds good to me, I'll have to take a look at techniques and examples of hangar bays other people have built. And finally, I have done a render of the cockpit for you, this was the hardest bit to do, but I just managed to fit in the pilot whilst not making it too bulky in comparison to the rest of the craft.

    Blacktron Revenger

First of all, happy 2014 everyone! What better way to kick the New Year off with a new MOC. Not just that, what you are about to see is pretty much a fresh format, almost like a reboot. Now that POV-Ray is working well, it means that the detail is much more real compared to the old method of just using LDraw snapshots, making it almost cartoony, in some ways it does look cool and old school, however I’d much prefer it looking more real. The logos have also been given a revamp and made sleeker with an overall less excess baggage look, hopefully you’ll enjoy seeing the changes as much as I enjoyed working on them come together. Right, my next MOC you might recognise is a modern nod to a certain older Blacktron ship design Lego released in 91, and one of their best in my view. There have been modern remakes of it, however I felt it was a good idea to break the mould a bit and make a bit of a different design approach. I give you the Blacktron Revenger, while small, it makes up for it in sheer speed, agility and flexibility of being able to pretty much fit in and be a use anywhere. The fastest single piloted craft in the galaxy. Four powerful weapon heads on each of the four wings, and with top secret research and development by mischievous Blacktron scientists, the ship can fire either lasers or torpedo’s, or for even more it can fire all four lasers into one to make a more powerful destructive beam. Yellow Version And as a further extra, some more generations of it. Future Generation Version Yes I know, it rendered trans yellow, although I thought it looked pretty cool and a bit different but still looking like Future Generation so I kept it like that, they look more trans yellow in the catalogue pictures too to my eyes. Blacktron 3 Version My personal take on the Blacktron 3 look. And finally some space shots. There are a lot of pictures so the rest can be seen in this link. I also while I was at it revamped the last few MOC’s that just used the less detailed LDraw picture format. Anyway, enjoy!
