Picked this up today. Probably my favorite battlepack vehicle they have done so far. Doesn't feel like an afterthought like many of the older ones. Lego 75078 Imperial Troop Transport by siningy, on Flickr

Hello everyone, Longtime lurker here. I picked up Emmet’s Contruct-o-Mech yesterday and seeing how as a review has not been made yet, I thought I would try making one myself. Set Title: 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech Set #: 70814 Theme: The Lego Movie Pieces: 708 Minifigures: 3+Unikitty Year of Release: 2014 Price at Release: USD $60 Box The typical Lego Movie box, its actually surprisingly large for a 60 dollar set. 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-3 by siningy, on Flickr 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-2 by siningy, on Flickr Contents Inside are 5 numbered bags, the instructions bagged with a piece of cardboard and a sticker sheet. 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-4 by siningy, on Flickr 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-5 by siningy, on Flickr 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-6 by siningy, on Flickr Minifigures Included in the set are Emmet, 2 Skeletrons and an Angry Unikitty. Emmet comes with an alternate angry face and the Skeletrons are the same as the ones in Metalbeard’s Duel. Angry Unikitty is awesome as always and totally worth the price of the set. 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-13 by siningy, on Flickr 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-14 by siningy, on Flickr The Build After bag 1 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-7 by siningy, on Flickr I think this is a new piece released with this set? I don’t think I’ve seen it before. 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-8 by siningy, on Flickr After Bag 2 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-9 by siningy, on Flickr After Bag 3 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-10 by siningy, on Flickr After Bag 4 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-11 by siningy, on Flickr After Bag 5 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-1 by siningy, on Flickr Spare Pieces 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-12 by siningy, on Flickr Finished Model 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-15 by siningy, on Flickr 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-16 by siningy, on Flickr 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-17 by siningy, on Flickr 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-18 by siningy, on Flickr 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-19 by siningy, on Flickr 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-20 by siningy, on Flickr 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-21 by siningy, on Flickr 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-22 by siningy, on Flickr 70814 Emmet’s Construct -o-Mech-23 by siningy, on Flickr 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-24 by siningy, on Flickr 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-25 by siningy, on Flickr 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-26 by siningy, on Flickr 70814 Emmet’s Construct-o-Mech-27 by siningy, on Flickr Conclusion While I really love the design of Emmet’s mech and its role in the movie, the actual set is a little disappointing compared to the on screen version. Articulation is pretty limited with the legs only able to move backwards. The wrecking balls can only move around the tiny chains so you can’t really knock over enemies with them. At 60 dollars, I can’t complain too much as it seems like one of the better parts to price ratio sets released in the last few years but I would have preferred to pay twice as much for a larger and more accurate version of the Construct-o-Mech.

Show Your Army, Navy, and Collection Display
gogglev replied to BillytheKid's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I've been following this thread for a few years now, but never had room to display my own army. I finally got some Detolfs for my other toys, freeing up a shelf to finally take out my phase 1 clone army. It's not as impressive as many other members amazing collections, but i'm proud of my little army. Phase 1 Clone Army by siningy, on Flickr -

+1 for Apache, great guy, fast shipment! -
I think the problem with the Battle Droids is primarily with the older droids. All my older battle droids have either loose joints or have had arms broken at the hinges. None of my droids from the past few years have had this problem and they seem to be made of a better quality plastic or something. This usually works with softer plastics so i'm not sure if it will work with the droid arms, but if you run the arm under hot water to soften the plastic a bit, you can try to compress the joints to make them tighter, though don't apply too much force. You could also try coating the pin on the droid body with a thin layer of super glue to create some friction for the arms.
