Aye, still wierd choice... But I cant say he doesnt fit in the castle theme. ;) Has anyone noticed how good the danju print fits on the torso? The little upside-down pyramid on the top of the print looks here like he has an open shirt. :) While Santis soldier helmet was better in a historical background (red coloured helmets was used by the crusaders to some extent) this one makes the perfer role as... Well, an Alendan footsoldier! But the Santis one had a huge axe, the Jayko a crossbow and the Vladek a battleaxe, what does this one have? A purple broadsword?

Very nice that you found him! This is from one of those rare polybags Im sure, like the one the Jayko soldier fig came out in in the first place. A Santis soldier has also appeared once. I really want these, alot of them too (probably about 25 at least of each), whats an army without soldiers anyways? Strange that he has the old police chief head...

Lets get this straight; you havent even started defending or showing evidence of you "finds", reviving ancient threads without anything important to add, your registering twice, which is not allowed- thus annoying, and not so bright to do, either. I dont know if this is all, but I really hope it is. Of course, you can make up to your mistakes by spreading the truth (if there is any) about your finds, a better understanding of the wrongings, etc to make you more respected. Please return to topic, shall we? Apparently, every mecha pilot here has his own color scheme and his own emblem, which are suprisingly alike the samurai clan emblems of feudal Japan. See the reference?

New Poll Whats Your Favorite Lego?
The Hordesman replied to Vader's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I dont get it, why isnt Bionicle on the list? Im a castler, but I cannot do anything else than feel pity for the bioniclers. Ninja goes under other (I have no idea what has to do with Johnny Thunder) and the same goes for Vikings, I think. -
Being the anime fan Iam, I know bad series from good. Sure, this is an american attempt, but I dont care about keeping a "faction's" side in that debate. A good story is a good story. Thats why I like anime- the good stories... And the great character designs. My biggest dream is though, to create an anime series myself, just in the way of japanese ones (and the animation rate of Miyazaki). Im actually looking forward to this. Ive longed for anime faces, even though they are fleshies they will be useful; peach people being the descendants of the hell, while brown from heaven, this has little to do with their personalities though.

All one needs is: Dungeon Siege with Catmansion mods Warlord's Battlecry 2 :P

I dunno, the hair reminds me too much about Edward Alphonso from Full Metal Alchemist (which is a guy). Sure its cute, but Ive seen cuter. :P Very good art though, millenias better than mine.

Playmobil- They still got realistic and semi-realistic designs like many many years ago. The only catches is that they change factions every 5th year or something, and the articulation which is less than that of a minifig. Believe it or not, but there actually exist AFOPs and a AFOP community. ;) Besides that there is the Kubrick's cube. *king2*

Agreed, I have no idea what one could use a 100,000 motorcycle helmets in the same color to, why does a future hero wear a motorcycle helmet anyways? blank heads would be pretty cool though, useful for water decals. But then again, non-customizers would find them useless. Sure, the potter hair got its uses and he can with stickers be turned into alot. A Master Chiefs torso print would be cool, but his helmet useless. Sure, you get some good dark green, but then you have 100,000 useless motorcycle helmets and need to order 100,000 proper helmets to the theme you build in. And still, the chances Lego will make this theme is just as big as the chances to get a Mancubus from Doom in duplo. :P

Please mention the faction! Else you are making this impossible!

For the fin, you could do a trick like that of nhblack at brickshelf: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery....y.cgi?i=1075267 By molding over the stud, and using the clay or whatever to get the fin stuck.
-
Wow! You gotta have alot of space to be able to do that, and yet you have problems with space for the other series. I think this calls for a "set up for photo and then ruin" situation. *satis*

Stud Not On Top If the stud is not directing towards the sky, then its a SNOT. Hope it helps. ;)

Halo? Worst Idea Ever. While on it, why not Quake, Halflife, Doom, Unreal, Wolfenstein... Those would surely be child-friendly... Not! Sure, Halo is kind of decent (though the motorbike helmet is silly), I think its best we keep ourselves to customs instead, and perhaps demand the colors to build certain stuff. ;) Also I heard that someone used "Legos" as a plural. Heresy!

Im an idiot, and it makes sense to me. :P Im not saying your an idiot, just saying you shouldnt run through posts quickly, I didnt get it first either. ;)

The face looks a little off. Somehow I think it makes her look a little fat...? Watch other examples on bricklink to see how they made the face. Great work, one of my favorite batman characters too! *satis*

Lol indeed. Yu-Gi-Oh got nice character design, but that is about it. The entire concept is americanized so I dont see why its put up here. I believe its also financed in the US.

non-hollywood? Cartoons! The Triplets of Belleville A great movie, completely absurd and wierd in every way. The first movie ever with a hungry dog used as a tire... And old ladies fishing frogs with handgrenades & a net too... Anything Miyazaki! Yup! Miyazaki has been in the cartoon business since the 60's, writing the scripts, cartooning himself, directing... Well, he is a workaholic, and his movies keeps an animation frame that even non-anime fans would like, and they are greater than frosties. Akira! I never understood the ending completely, but this is a modern classic, and should be seen. Im not a such big fan of the style, though. Non-cartoons! The Ring, Japanese original (Ringu) I have yet to see the japanese 2nd part, but the first one kicks the american version's butt. Kopps A small swedish commune will soon have no police station... What should the cops do? Crime... This one is extremely funny and silly, it hosts one of the funniest characters ever invented... I believe it is available elsewere in europe too. Stop mentioning Ninja Scroll and Ghost in the Shell! I havent seen them! Stop tempting me! :P

Ah, I love escher paintings, and this one is a great tribute to him! I love all the uniformed people (first I thought they were, clones, but if you look carefully there are different faces), the fantastic construction and the fact that the "outdoors" are lighten up. Great find! I think Ive seen it before, though. I would really like a lego rendition of the horseman in the woods. :-D

Ohh... Playmobil... Those were the days... Before I understood the articulation was less than the articulation of minifigs, I played with these... Collected alot of castle and 1500-1700 sets... Ahh... The memories...
-
My ideas would be the following schemes: Dark red, black and light grey black and light grey white and dark grey Of course, making minifigs with alot of light grey or dark grey isnt the easiest thing, but those are colorschemes that would be cool if the lighter color on the scheme is used less than the darker, so certain areas would be "lighten up". They are also color schemes that look nice and have not (to my knowledge) been used before. ;) If your a customizer though, the minifigs wont be a such a big problem. Saber Scorpion has some very nice custom armies that may be inspiring to look at, too.

The voice of your brother's blood is crying out...
The Hordesman replied to Athos's topic in Special LEGO Themes
They? You mean him? Yeah, its great. Since my days of bible study I think its a very good picture of God & friends (btw, the bible made me atheist). Back to topic: I would like to see the face you used for Abel in this MOC, since no picture shows it clearly, objects block the way. A nice lil vig, and a little different choice of weapon. ;) -
Dino Attack Regional Differences
The Hordesman replied to MattZitron's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
This is something I long thought is silly, germans are addicted to violence: you can switch on the radio anytime on the day and hear a novel about a murder, explained into detail, you can watch tv and you will sooner or later run into a horror flick. Still, strong moral panic is taking place elsewere; FPS games are forbidden and Lego cant do as they want. Germans are strange. I think its because of the lack of spiky helmets. ;) -
http://www.zyworld.com/tmot/Home.htm I hope Im not the bringer of old news, but there it is. Surfed around a little randomly until I found this site... As you can understand, its not my site, but its darn impressive! Im actually thinking of building some galleons and battleships myself!

I really want to know what creatures and stuff that appears in the book to the next film, since Im too lazy to take up a book and move all the way in front of my face, read and switch page, thats hard stuff!
