Emerald Night Coach interiors... What should each class be?
gondortoast replied to Carefree_Dude's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Hi, alternatively, you could have a try at bui;ding a pullman brake coach. these were at the ends of trains too, and were used for luggage, it would also require ALOT less modding to create. linky hopefully that offers something to the melting pot of ideas toast. -
Hey all, Not quite sure if this belongs here but anywho: they're now stocking harry potter sets in the bluewater lego store. I dont have the money to buy them but maybe you lot do.

Collectible Minifigs: What's your favorite new part mold?
gondortoast replied to Rick's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Oddly enougth I was thinking something very similar I voted for; the skater hair from series one (a new hair mold is always good news to me,can't have everyone wearing a bowl cut in lego city can we now? ) the sombero for series two, because well frankly..... its a sombero and they are pretty cool GToast -
Well on a whimsical adventure in bluewater today i saw that the lego shop there had some series 2 collectable figs in sooooo..... 1 x surfer 1 x lifegaurd 1 x singer 1 x vampire 1 x skier not a bad haul

WOW, With all these Xmas, Birthdays, and general "disposable income" it will be a wonder if theres any sets left at all! im just gonna do what i usually do.... spend £££'s on important things that i need (not saying lego isn't important thougth! )and then attack what ever set catches my fancey, im very whimsical thatway at least the resulting influx of HP set reveiws that will no doubtably rise up over the next couple of weeks/months will help me choose my sets, I have WAY too much whim GToast.

Why aren't there more UK Lego shops?
gondortoast replied to jm28cardiff's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I thought this to be wierd aswell, as most of the shops are located in the south eastish way of the u.k . i think its purely based on travel links and holiday destinations, i mean for the bluewater store theres an almost stright connection to the A2, and M25. whereas brightons more of a holiday place and lets face it, who hasnt gone on holiday and brought lego? . but the milton keynes store seems to be almost in the middle of no where, apart from the nearby connection to the M1 but i suppose im just lucky to live right next to bluewater (dartford, its like 5 miniutes on the bus ) as the shop has a brillient selection of PAB as well as the minfig building bin. it does stock most of the current range aswell, but they never seemed to have the collectable minifigs when i went down. -
unfortunately no, it was just a banner saying "availible instore from october". when i saw that i too got my hopes up

I think my favorite book is most probebly the deathly hallows (ive always had a thing for the last parts of saga's ) Also I realised that in the battle of hogwarts it got a bit beat up, but looking at that poster and that trailer it looks like its been completely leveled! and that man using the force on the hogwarts express is actuly the master from the classic series of Doctor who

TLG needs to know what colors are missing in existing elements
gondortoast replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I guess i'm just being greedy because I need this for a MOC ; Item no. : 6218. Item name : cylinder half. 2x4x4 New Colour : Dark green. I think we should be honoured that we're given the chance to do this it really shows that TLC really cares about our opinions peace out, GondorToast -
First of all this is not a decal request. As i am finishing school for good this year finally. i am deciding to start a brick film project, utilisng acting tallent from my school and the local area and high tech animation (hopefully ). But at the moment i want to keep the prject underwraps, y'know reveling teasers every now and then. And now the challenge, im looking for decal artists to produce some pretty first class work (and you will be credited for your work!) to conjure up a really truely magnificant decal for the lead charactor. If you are intersrested and want more details please feel free to PM me, i do not bite (most of the time.). Thank you, And peace out! Gondortoast. P.S I suppose it was a decal request after all!

First a narrative: After a wild decision to create a lego movie i found the need for female torsos and one caught my beady little eyes........... the torso in question was an orange 'dress' like design and had flowers on it as part of the design. It was perfect and imeddiatly i felt like . so i created a bricklink account and then went back on the search for this torso, and it was gone. by now im feeling like . so a few days later im back on BL seaching, and i got thinking what if i had made it up in my head?.............. Narrative end, topic time Can any of you help me find this torso?, give a name or 'I.D' no.?, or am i just a wacko? I would be greatful of any response. many pleases and thanks gondor toast

I too dont care very much for the lego version, (it doesnt look very lego-y) but this is a big improvement. althougth i would remove the cap type thing you have on his head, so theres a stud showing
-
i completly agree lego could get some extra revenue from this, omg that looks cool, can you or someone please post a link to the oxford website, i cant seem to find it. many thanks, toast.

MISB - to open or not to open...
gondortoast replied to Mister Phes's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
the way i see it Lego is a toy, its a contruction set, its a way we can all share our creativity. and it makes me so angry when you see 'captain killjoy' swipeing up all of the new releases holding them in his hand and watching all the disheartend children go home empty handed, just becasue he wants to go home and be a complete nob and try to make a 'mint' in the futrue. not to say that i would forbid the whole thing: the idea that there are some people out there who lock up their lego 'MISB' is a brillient way to preserve the toys of the past, a kind of time capsule. but like i said, its a toy its supposed to be played with, chewed up and lost in the sands of toyboxes everywhere. and by captain kill joy i mean the kind off person that would never let the boxes see the light of day for 20 years, like in 'james mays top toys' he went to a model railway collectors house and asked if any had been 'run' before, the man replyed "no, never been run, its factory fresh as it was when it came out of the factory, i even have the tissue paper that was in the box!". thats not the reason it (train, lego) was created, it was created to be played with. rant over, peace out
