  1. Oh wow..... I don't even know what to say about that. But ya, the way he made the sheep was preety cool.

    Shop at Home feedback

A service garage would be sweet. One with an ofice, waiting room and a large garage. The garage (or shop) should have 4 work bays with lifts, tool boxs, various other tools, engine stang, engine lift (cherry picker) and of course, some cars, and mechanics. Or, even better, a car dealership, with all of thee above, plus a show room!

    PS3 delayed ???

By the time PS3 comes out, microsoft will have somthing bigger and better. I'm happy with my XBOX 360, and i don't really think i'll have a use for anything more than whats its already capable of. (now that i think of it, i don't even use half of what its capable of. )

    I think these are new....

Its funny, in those links, it says there not avaible in the U.S., but i've seen both the mini tractor and the quad bike before in numberous stores. Haven't seen the telahanderler though. Hopfully i can get that one state side as well.

    New Monorail Concept

Very cool. But i'm curious how stable this would be with the full weight of a train. I like the concept, but it seems like alot of wieght for that thin of a rail. But thats what concepts like these are for.

    LegoCreator forums

Some memebers just prefer to have a site deadicated to the theme they like the most. Whats wrong with that? Creatormight not be as popular as Star Wars, or Bionicle, but i think there's a decent fan base for it. I for one would love a techinc site! Everyone (or site) started from scratch at some point, including this one. I just registered for you site hewkii9. Looks very nice! Look foarward to seeing it get bigger!
  7. I'd like to put in another vote for suvieD. He sold me some techinc parts a few weeks ago and had great turn around time, and even included some very rare, and expensive parts. Will defently be doing business with him again.

    LEGO Suicides

Agreed. I can apreaciate a good sense of humor, but burning the american flag is crossing the line. I really don't see a way to have a sence of humor about that.
  9. If you like this, you might like this, too: (click me) Nice find Hobbes! I'm a huge fan of legocranes! I'm really looking forward to the new crawler crane. I would have built one myself long ago, but never could understanding of all the latice attachments.Once i have on in front of me, i'll finaly get how all the lines work.

Quiz - What is the Iceskater thinking?

"This ice skating scholarship isn't as great as the recruiter made it sound." "The things i do to pay for college." "This is what i call drafting!" "5 years till retirement.....5 years till retirement..."

rest of the toy fair pics at fbtb

Hasanyone noticed they didn't have any pictures of the city tower crane, or pricing? Hopfully they just left it out by mistake, and it will still be coming out this summer.
  13. I'm so glad you said that  and I'm glad that the toy store staff recognise this fact :$ I believe you will find that most Lego purchased for little kids is purchased by their parents or grandparents at WalMart, Target, TRU, etc (whatever your local big box toy store The Lego Stores aren't generally competitive for current sets price-wise, especially around holiday time, and the only reason to go to them is for special merchadising, Pick-A-Brick, or the for "experience", which is an AFOL thing, not a kid thing. I dunno. I've found a few sets on speacial in the Lego store. I found 8435 for only $20!! (normally 50) But generally, there always full price. As for experiacne, my 10yr old nephew was quite impressed. He stood there with his mouth open and was spechless for over a minute. Almost as long asme when i first learned about the Lego store last june.

    Most Popular Line of 2006

For me its techinc all the way, but i'm sure batman will be the most popular. I dunno, these new avatar sets just don't seem very impresive to me. Neither do Sponge bob. Guess i'd understand more if i were 10. Starwars is defentlyup there, but i don't beilve they will surpase Batman. All my lego money wil be spent on techinc and city, but i'm sure Batman will rein supreme.
  15. Well, if the box is the indicator, the dune buggy is the main model. I can't say I disagree - the tractor was a hideous thing (no offense intended to the few who liked it), not that yet another duge bunny holds much interest for me either. I have officially given up on Adventurers for 2006. Sigh. Here's hoping for 2007. Please TLC, don't let Johnny die! The tractor is defenatly better than that horrible dune buggy! Whats a dune buggy without suspention??? Hopfully the tractor will be the alternate model. I must say, that this is a great year for techinc! I'm alittle disapointed by the size of the crawler crane. Was hoping it would be a bit bigger. Of well. No biggie (ha ha, get it? )
  16. Hopfully i posted this in the proper place. I've noticed that quite a few people on brickshelf (espeacially the larger more complicated models) are done using a cad type software. Some even have full instructions and everything. I was curious if anyone knows if this is custom software, or somthing readily availible. I can defently see this being usfull in an upcoming prodject of mine. Excuse me if the answer is a simple one. I don't have much computer knowledge when it comes to software and stuff. Thanks guys. Brandon.

    Lego TV Commercials

I can't believe no one has meantioned the LEGO maniac comercials! I believe it was the mid 90's when they came out. The one i rember the best was the one with all the town police sets. They were after "Crazy Charlie" I still remeber the last line as crazy charlie was put in jail.... "Crazy Charlie was crazy to think he'd escape....... the Lego Maniac."

    Cad designing lego sets....

Thanks for your help everyone! I'll check them allout, and see what i like best. My dad does cad for a living, so i can always go to him if i need some help.
  19. Short memory! I showed you a picture of it just a couple of days ago  http://brickshelf.com/gallery/gylman/5571/p2010059.jpg lucky I put the back wheels on inside-out. part number 32003 Cheers Gyl Ohhh. Ok. I thought the wheels on the black cat rig were the same as the crane, and truck! Never knew there was a larger version. Thanks gylman!
  20. ..Or at least where does the LARGER wheel and tire come from? Saw this on brickshelf... I know the smallerone is the one used on 8421 mobile crane, and 8436 truck, but i've never seen the larger of the two. Just curious.

    Brickshelf: Unimog

V-LV-58E considering the size of a real unimog, i think they got the size down preety good. See ,not to big, not to small.

    Toy Fair 2006 (no pics)

Technic - this is going to be a good year for technic fans. A very good year. One of the sets has a retro feel to it, but was described to me as the "hardest Technic build ever". [/qutoe] He must be talking about the tow truck. Enless there somthing else we haven't seen yet......
  23. Good point. For a family of lego lovers, the city sets are getting preety big. Trying to find room for all the kids sets is getting more difficult. Thats why i ove my techinc sets so much. Play/moc all you want, then put them back on the shelf when your done. Good question about LEGO's target age group. The employee's at my local lego store say they get more people in the 20's, and 30's than young kids. :-D It's on one of those pics from the link that doesn't work anymore... Ah, ok. I got that pic from the hungarian site that someone posted up.
  24. I liked it As I said, where I grew up farmers used tractors like that, even with that color. Except for a few details I don't think it's that bad, either... Sorry. I should have said i disagreed with MOST people about the new tractor. My bad. Love the new crane.I for one like big sets. But i do understand that size can be a problem with those making a town layout. I too am wondering were i'm going to put this thing. Oh well, i guess i have a few months to figure that one out. Whoa mama!!!!! This is the first i've seen of this... This is defenatly a good year!

    General Minifig question

I could have sworn i remeber seeing some years back in a castle set of somthing of that nature. Could be wrong though...
