    Batman sets on US S@H

Yup! I'm not really a fan of these sets like some are, but i must admit the sets do look cool. And i'm willing to bet that we'll see Arkham on S&H, and Lego stores before TRU. *y* Oh, second page ownage!!!
  3. Thanks for the input! I'm actually thinking of bitng the bullet and purchasing that last airtank on bricklink. Not sure if i'll have another opertunity to get one. Errrr..... Somany other ways i'd rather spend $20. *sing* But if it would make the model more enjoyable,...... I guess it would be worth it. :-)

    X3 Trailer

I saw this trailer last night during the show 24. Looks great!
  5. No problem. :-) I was actuallythinking about doing a full review sincei've noticed that there has been alot of discusion about 8421 in the last couple months. Again, my pleasure. I can do a full review on both. 8455 seems to be alot of peoples favorites,i'msure it will be one of mine as well. Hopefully the'll be here by friday!!! X-D X-D Should be built by the end of next week!! Whitch crane are you building? I built the folding crane, soi can still hook up a trailer to the 5th wheel. Although it can't lift much, it does look great and the funtions are nice. gylman,do you think that the airtank is nesasary for 8464? Since i don't have one already (and don't want to spend $20 on one at brink link) i was thinking about using it with 8455 since it seems it would be a better use on that model.

    Batman sets on US S@H

What don't you understand about TRU exclusive. I'm sorry if I sound mean, but it has been stated numerous times that it is exclusive to TRU. -l2k- Wasn't the legend airport sopose to be a TRU exclusive as well? But its avaible in S&H, and the lego store.
  7. First off, i'd like to say this is a great topic! Great to see everyone opinions on somany differnt techinc sets! For me, its a toss up. I think both stud, and studless builds have there advantages, as well as there disadvantages. One thing i've noticed is studded lego set are much stronger than the studless sets. A good example would be 8436 truck. The chassis has quite a bit of flex in it. Being that it doesn't have suspention, it isn't really a bad thing. It does allow it move about the floor a bit easier, but i noticed when i push it from atop the cab, it bends. I rememeber when i got 8868 brand new when i was a kid :-) . It was my first real techinc build! I rememeber that build quite well. The most memorable part was when i found out i had to cut the hose to size. I thought there was somthing wrong, and wanted to return it thinking "lego would never make you go though all that trouble! It must be a packaging problem!!" I gotas far as building the chassis, and got so upset, that i didn't want to finish the build. My dad quickly calmed me down, and assisted me with cutting all the hoses to size, and labeling them. (man there were alot.) After to fun filled days, it was complete. Now back in the day, i would play with all my lego sets. The side of my house was my play area. 8868, along with 8460 crane truck, (forgive me i can't remeber the set numer, but it was the red truck and trailer with the yellow forklift) and a few other sets and some mocs i made would spend hours back there. These models built many buildings, roadways, pipelines, (i built a drainage system for the water that ran off the roof of the house inot a little lake), and many other prodjects. In fact, 8460 still has 10yr old dirt on its wheels, and under the chassis! (i still have it assembled. It was my favorite and never had the heart to take it apart. *wub* ) ....Anyways, back to my original point about stiffness. I remeber when driving the trucks over the dirt, oneof the things that bothered me about them was how stiff the chassis were. No flex whatsoever. At the time i thought it sucked, but it served good when towing. :-P But without suspention, it does make studded techinc slightley less enjoyable. I'd have to agree. 8421 is a great build. . Visually it is one of the most beautiful techinc sets ever made. Perfect blend of old and new. There were a couple flaws, but i every set has those. The main problem as many have meantioned is the arm crashing down when air is let out. My soution was to add 2 more pnuematic cylinders, and conect the opened nozels on the cylinders, and hook them up to the open switch valve. It worked very well, and greatly improved the lifting power as well (whitch i felt was another problem). Over all i don't know wheather i like studded, or studless better. Studded is defently easier to moc (at least for me), but i have to admit, studless is visually more appealing. On a side note, i bought 8455 backhoe, and 8439 front end loader and should recieve them in about a week. With one being studded, and the other studless, it should be interesteing comparing the 2 side by side.

    New Ferrari Set Pic Review

Great review yoda! My girlfriend bought me the fuel stop for our 7 month aniversary. Great little set. Very much worth the $20. Wish i could say the same for the Finish Line. Since i have the Scuderia Truck an the fuel stop, i already have number 1, and 2 cars. So basicly that means spending $60 on the podium, tools (whitch also is a duplicate of the the Scuderia truck tools) and stands. Not worth it for me. The Scuderia truck was one of my favorite builds last year was well. When i got the ferrari Fuel Stop, i modified the Truck to carry fuel cart, fire cart and extra tires! It loks really good carrying all that equpiment!

    Great Technic Mech Head

Good technic mechs are pretty rare, as most people prefer brickbuilt mecha. I would suggest buying more lego sets to beef up your collection. Personally, I wouldn't really use this in any mech. -l2k- Everyone started out like him with a small collection. You shouldn't be discourging someone becase they don't have the best bricks for there prodject. I'm not a Mech fan myself, but we all have the love for the hobby... Discouraging someone and giving feedback are 2 different things. I never said it was horrible. And not everyone starts with a small collection. My brother passed his lego on to me, and I started collecting when I was 6. -l2k- You told him he isn't good at making technic mech mocs, whitch is bascly the same thing. I don't see that as giving feedback, i see that at as discouraging. I too started like you with my colection. My brother like you handed down his lego to me. But not everyone is that fortunte. Work with what you have. It might have been a bit much of him to say it was a "great' head design, but to tell someone that there flat out not good at it isn't right. You want to give him feed back, sugjest on ways he could improve his design.

    PS3 delayed ???

True, but there is a big differnce in 600 (whitch was a marked up price from 300 retail when they wer new) to $2,000. Most parents wouldn't spend that much on themselfs let alone there 10yr old for a gaming system. Yes, it does more than just play games, but in reality, thats going to be its biggest selling point. On another note, i don't really think that the revolution is going to take off here in the states. Sounds like it would do well in japan, but considering it doesn't offer half of what the 360 offers i just don't see it doing well.

LOL, at first i thought you said you say Eurotrip "2". Then i read the rsst of your post. I saw "Confesions of a teenage dram queen" a couple nights ago with my girlfreind, and now i'm watching "Beverly hills cop 2".

    PS3 delayed ???

Agreed. 2k is rediculous for a gaming system. Even if it does offer all that hardrive and whatnot, there going to have an extremly hard time pushing that.

    I'm Sorry, Xbox who?

How can you say that? I think it really depends on what kind of gaming expericance your looking for. other then mario cart, game cube has nothing of interset for me. I prefer Racing games, and first person shooters, whitch game cube seriously lacks. (espeacialy racing games) Yes, i am an Xbox fan over Nintendo and Sony. But that was because they offered more enjoyable games that suite my "gaming experince." I also prefer the grafics of regular Xbox over PS3, or Gamecube. (no need to go into the 360. As for what Nintendo outselling Xbox in Japan, everyone preety much already went into that. Sony and nintendo will always do better in Japan. People there are very brand loyal to them.

    Shop at Home feedback

Another idea that popped in my head today, was the idea of a truck stop, or a loading /shipping dock. The truck stop could have a restrant, and service station, and of course some trucks! The loading dock could have a dock for the trucks to back up too, a large warehouse full of whatever, and a forklift. I'd espeacially like to see trucks around the size of the Ferrari Sceudera truck.
