  1. Hello everyone. I'd like to present my latest MOC: The Forsaken Monastery, home to The Banished Monks. I haven't done a full interior for a while but decided to bite the bullet with this creation. Flickr gallery Brickshelf gallery It took about a month of on and off building, mainly because of the intricate stonework.

Latest MOC: A French style Chateau

It comes off but there's no interior. I hate making furnishings!

Latest MOC: A French style Chateau

Point taken - it's just that my last model was the Belfry in Bruges and was over 5'2" (157cm)! Thanks for the comments
  4. Decided to experiment with Baroque and made this small Chateau: All photos on Brickshelf Enjoy!

    The Belfry in Bruges MOC

It's near to minifig scale although not exact (a different scale would have meant several features would have been impossible to render accurately). The real building is 83m high so it was always going to be a big build. In fact I was worried for a while that it wouldn't fit between desk and ceiling but it turned out to be within 1 inch! It took over a month to build. Thanks for all the comments.
  6. My latest MOC - a scale model of the Belfry (Belfort) in Bruges. It stands 5'2" tall and separates into 4 pieces for transportation: Flickr set Brickshelf gallery when moderated Enjoy!

    New MOC: Peligrad Castle

Just the one token room that's actually decorated - I hate interior design!
  8. One of my biggest MOCs, inspired by Peles Castle in Romania. Link to Flickr set Link to Brickshelf Gallery Enjoy!

    MOC: Eastern European Church

Thanks for all the positive comments. I'm looking forward to building more historical town buildings and branching out from classic castle. The dome uses a similar technique to the spheres credited to Bruce Lowell. It uses 1x2 plates with a centre stud to help smooth the shape out and a core made from 1 x 1 bricks with studs on 4 sides. @TheBrickster - the wooden slats in the bell tower windows are actually made from black 2x2 tiles, not slopes. I think this looks better when viewing from below.
