  1. My old post got deleted with the fourm crash so i'll post again. I have put together some old classic sets such as sets, 6022 Horse Cart, 6041 Armor Shop, 6074 Black Falcon's Fortress, and 6085 Black Monarch's Castle. Also i have built some sets from the 90's Lego idea book to add to the village. In this diorama i brought back something some of us AFOL's remember, was Legos set catologs that would show all the sets for the year. In the center would always be all the sets togther and one big epic battle! So to recreate these scenes i bought some orange poster board, painted some tan for the ground and made a foam mountain, and here you have it a classic castle scene from the 80's enjoy! The overview of the village Moving in for the attack... the daily formation Forest ambush The sharpshooter moves into position. Workin on the ol' farm Another view of the farm Well hoped you enjoyed for more pictures check out my brickshelf here

    2012 Pirates?

Well since Lego is a kids toy i think childrens intrest in pirates is not really there. Now a days kids are more into star wars and super heros which lego is focusing alot on those themes. Myself now being an AFOL like many others here back in the 80's and 90's when I was young there were movies like goonies, hook, time bandits more swashbuckler films. With Potc being a really successful pirate franchise it still didnt seem like the lego sets were very popular IMO? Who knows though if lego does make a new pirate theme i hope is classic pirates...... So many more possiblies.

    H.M.S Saint Matthews

[pid][/pid]120C Ahoy classic pirates, I present to you my latest creation. About 10 months ago I had finally found Captain Green hairs ship building tutorial. I found the tutorial very helpful and just showed me how most of these awesome ships were built on this site. So I took my old ship, the imperial shark seeing as how its design Wasn’t all that great and decided to start a new ship! So November 22nd 2010 I began this project. I had completely taken apart the shark and started on my new flagship. After about a Month the ship started to take shape, after many different bow changes, and stern changes, I had finally got the look I wanted but there was one thing that didn't look right. The ship's colors brown and white just weren't cutting it so I then choose to change it to black and yellow, the traditional British ship colors. As I was browsing the MOC ship pages, some ships stood out to me, and those were the ones with custom rigging. This was going to be a new challenge for me and I choose to do it. This was very long, tedious, and a bit stressful but in the end it was all worth it! For the netting I took 2 different string sizes and threaded it through each other with a threading needle... I also decided to make custom mast to give me freedom so I could make the sails any size I want and position them how I want. The ship has 58 cannons and each port does have a cannon. I also decided to make custom British blue ensign flags to sail under. I'd like to thank the classic pirate forum for all the great feedback and everything on previous creations. Also my lantern design I got from CGH and Bonaparte’s Spanish Imperial Galleon Nuestra Señora de la Concepción. Also thanks again to captain green hairs tutorial it was a big help to get started on this. So check out the ship and let me know what you think!!! The Beauty The bow The side The stern Side of stern shot The Rigging My link For the rest check out my brick shelf page...

2013 City Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Totally agree. Set 6389 has been the only fire station to be released with a pumper. But i too think a ladder and pumper combo would be awesome. The thing is ibthink since lego is a kids toy and i guess they think kids have more fun with a ladder truck then a boreing old pumper/engine.

2013 City Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Since the city sets went into a forset theme this past year i was hoping for a forestry type fire station. But instead we get another city fire dept. With another ladder truck and another fire car...Is it just me or does lego just make the same thing over and over again the last couple fire stations to me were almost identical. I wish they would have made a forest style station with a off road pickup rescue truck and a type 3 style engine or water tender... oh well maybe when i see the pictures ill change my mide
  7. Has anyone went to google search images and put lego minifigures series 8? If you do it shows a page that has 8 figs a basketball player, a vampire female, knight crusader, imperial redcoat captain, and a four others. I think its fake but it looks pretty good whoever made it.

    Question about tricorne

I have painted all my tricornes. If you check out my vid pirate battles 3 on youtube you can see all my hats are gold and white. Here's how to do it and not ruin your hats. 1. Buy paint called (model color) its a water based paint that comes off even a year after you have painted it, so if you end up not wanting them painted after a while you can wash the paint off in water.note do not used a oil based paint its runny and does not come off easy. 2. Mix the water based paint with a few speckles of water and mix it around. 3. Use a fine tip detailing model brush ,dip it into your paint you have just mixed and go along the top brim of the hat.I Usually get alot of paint on the brush so that I just need to do 1 coat. Don't worry if you mess up the paint wipes right off and will not ruin your pieces. Hope this helps and good luck.

    2012 Pirates?

Well to me I think having pirate sets out Is a great thing! However the thing that is disappointing me lately is that, It seems like Lego is gonna end up one day with nothing but licensed themes! I also don't like the flesh figs, I mean call me old fashioned but as a kid and now A AFOL I like my old school yellow figures! I think Lego should relax and maybe just stick with there star wars theme which is successful, and then go back to there roots to the evergreen themes, castle, pirates, space! The POTC theme sets have been great I think there better then the 2009 pirates line, excluding the Imperial flagship, but they still are not like having the classic theme. So in conclusion I guess having some pirates is better then having none at all!

MOC/WIP - Custom Seagrave Hook and Ladder

Great looking rig I think the front looks great! The only few things I'd change is put the water tank and gages behind the cab, and then move the roll up doors back and then lower the back down a little lower. Besides that I think you got a great rig there.

    W.I.P English Galleon (Princess Ceinwyn)

This ship keeps getting better and better. I remeber the early stages and its awesome to know that you can make a fleet of these bad boys at a cheap cost. I really like the mast design it looks good and like others have said you should make a tutorial! Also I like the whip and muskets design, I know its always a bummer if you have to glue pieces but like you said, if your gonna leave it built then who cares. Kepp up the great work can wait to see the finish product!
