This tree is really awesome. Probably the best version of a Lego city tree I have seen. Can you create a Bricklink studio file for better understanding how to build this and maybe upload it on Rebrickable?

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunatly, I disasembled those trees to make some new ones. So I can"t take more pictures for you. I uses some standard leafs with brackets for the green structures. And after some flowers supports with a lot of green special round plates. Hope it will help.

  2. Hello !

I’m back here to share with you some new pics of my city diorama.

With covid and the fact that we can’t have some guests at home, I decided to use the table of the dinning room as display for my city.

I can’t remembered the last time I took it out of boxes, with cars, furnitures and cityzens with urban life.

Even if my table is relatively big, it is not enought to put all my modulars on. So I have to make some choices, and decided to put all my creations first and official ones in a second time.

After that choice, I try to mixt them to have some nice arengement in therme of architecture and colours, making this mess pleasant to look at.

It was time tu put the roads and start to make it alive. And this was the first time that I put my new street furnitures down the street.

In fact, I have made a quick review of my street furnitures the past, but I have made a lot of modifications, making those details more frenchy (parisian).

Here a picture of those items :

I put some cars, some cityzens, few urban animals, made some all-day life scenes everywhere...

So, few hours later, my city is readdy to go !

Unfortunatlfy, the pictures are not as good as I want, because of bad lightening (not big sunshine during winter here I lived…).

Here a general view to see the size :

  3. I can't remembered the last time I have created a new topic here. Even if I'm not posting a lot on EB, I'm still here and into LEGO and particularely into modular buildings.

So here I will show you some pics of my latest creation. This modular is inspired by a "art nouveau" house from my city, thta I really love, the Villa Majorelle.

I have sceduled to make a LEGO version of it from a very long time, but didn't take the time to do so. The last period of pandemic gave me the opportinuty to spend time with my beloved bricks. So good to moc again!

What a challenge that villa was! Making art nouveau with LEGO bricks is not easy, but I like challenges. And this house is very special, with so many details everywhere. So I tried to capture its spirit in a modula buidling that can be insered in my layout (I have made some compromises).

Here we go for few pictures :

Looks great, I’m especially a fan of the two lamps! Definitely some nice additions to one’s city. And great to see you back by the way! :classic:

Thanks! I'm always here, but not so active in topics and I don't have as many times as before to build as I would like ^^.

I like how you didn't connect your modulars to the road plates as many do (sidewalk tiles).  This makes it so much easier to move them around which I do constantly.

Yes, I like to give some space for pedestrian mminifigures ^^ . So, there are some spaces for furnutures, doing some micro stories, and have a better view of buildings.

  5. Hey!

During this time at home because of Covid19, I have decided to create and to change my bus stop.

My first version looks too big and bulky and would like something thinner.

So, after 2 days working on it, I came up with two prototypes : all the pieces are not in the write color for now, I need to buy extra pieces. But before doing that,  I want to share them with you to have some feedback : what is your favorite version?  What do you like or note, how to improve it?

First, some pictures with the 3 iterations. The first version is the white one.

Hi Alex54, those trees are absolutely magnificent! I've been going crazy trying to figure out how they're made. Could you give any insight or a tutorial, please? The street looks incredible all around, though!

    Hello,

Here's a picture t show you how the trees are mad. Like Vindicare said, I use some 5 prong flower stem piece & 1x1 snot bricks (a lot of them for one tree!) on big foliages. You will see how those foliages are attached. Each face of tree is made by twi big foliage, and only one on top. Everything is legal here and doesn't move, it's quite sturdy. Hope that will help you ^^

    Whatever happened to @alex54?

I'm find and still here event if I'm not as active as before.

So I will answer the questions asked :

    • Would you like to see more contests?
      • Yes, evenif I don't have all the time I want to enter those contest.
    • What is your opinion of Tags (those small images on the left <---)?
      • Don't have any opinion about them.
    • Do you use, if ever, Eurobricks reference materials (ie. lists of Reviews, lists of MOCS, lists of Forums)?
      • Lists of review is very usefull. And alsow lists of MOCS, if they are from good quality.
    • Have you participated in games on Eurobricks (ie. Role-Playing, Mafia, etc.)?
      • I have participated to one game like that, and it wad funny.
    • Do you use/visit the Eurobricks Facebook page? Eurobricks on Flickr? etc.
      • No facebook for me at all. Flickr not too. I don't like social app like that.
    • Do you post MOCs online? What hosting platform do you prefer to use?
      • I still use Brickshelf, old style!
    • Do you prefer broadly defined threads or multiple specialized threads?
      • multiple specialized threads
    • What is the first page you visit when opening Eurobricks on your browser?
      • The index page

Personnaly, I have less time to go on EB. I was more active when I was student. And all the people with wich I speak here seem to be in the same situation. So, I don't know the newer member.

And with the smartphone and all those apps, It seems that the discussions in general are not as constructive than before. Maybe it's just an impression.

And last, because I don't come often here, I don't write in english, and I lost a lot in that. It's harder for me to think abour how to write properly.

All in all, I'm still an EB lover, where I discovered the LEGO online univer, other AFOLS, during my study, when I didn't have my real bricks with me!^^

I'm still mocing my town, with some inspiration moment and other period without envy to MOC. I often think about posting some new pics to share my work, but I don't have the time to take pictures, host them and post.

Or maybe I don't take the time to do so...  I know I have to, but I have so many things to do aside...

  8. Thanks for this review!

I find this serie funny and cool, and great for a city fan too :

    - Those bowls and spoons are so great

    - nice new hairepices and recolour

    - new "clothes" with scarf and hoodie

    What can we want more?

And this serie is a good way to have the fish gear in a cheep way, so I like it! And the octopus one is so great too, by its own.

The Npop girl is definitevly my favorite fig from this serie! I'm an Unikitty fan...

It's funny to see that LEGO has made a technology update on the stereo player ^^!

Whitefang, do you have the Harry Potter shark head, it's missing on your shark family picture

    Thanks for this great job!

  9. Not so far away, the world was divided in two, between Zombies and Minifigures, each tribe with its one rules, its own cultures and traditions.

Zombies lived together in some quiet, peaceful and comfortable towns. They were very respectful of the other Zombies, independently of their zombie appearance, origin or color.

Contrary to them, the Minifigures grown with the vision of a one colored world : in yellow!

They don't have any rules and hated this wonderful and cute Zombie-land so much that one day, they tried to go to fight them.

Poor Zombies, it seems this is the end of your quiet life! Never trust Minifigure, they are treacherous and will make you out be the baddies of the story...

Love this topic and all the little details that you've produced! Where did you get the stickers to do your stop sign and the pedestrian crossings from? They look pretty cool!

Those are not stockers, but printed parts. For the stop, I can't remembered, they came from city sets from the begining of the 2000 years.

And for the pedestrian crossings, they came from a Junior set from 2015 or 2016. I don't know the ref exactly.
