Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

Walmart currently has 75095 for $60 off, so it's $140. I'm trying to save up for the Ewok Village. Should I buy the TIE Fghter now and wait on the Village or continue saving up? -
It's a Snowspeeder. We know, to my knowledge, pretty much nothing about it.
-
Awesome! That's 1 set from my list down.
-
What's funny is that the reason I did that list was because I thought of an idea for an Interceptor.TIE Interceptor - $60 TIE Pilot Admiral Piett Stormtrooper R2-Q5 I disagree with the Homestead though. It would be fairly boring with no action features and the most notable thing to happen there is the execution of Owen and Beru, so it's probably a no-go.

I really like it. I got it for $75 and was really pleased, so I can recommend it. -
Having read Brickset's review, I just can't support it anymore. It should have just been the blast doors imo, and that would have dropped $120 or so dollars off of it. The snowspeeder is just a recolored 2014 one, the ion cannon is garbage, the trench is just a bigger Hoth Attack and the shield generator is too small. The UCS designation doesn't bother me, as it's never meant anything to me. It's just so overpriced that I can't bring myself to buy it.

It's actually based on a real life gun which is quite a big roadblock. That said, I love this creation. It's a pretty nice representation of the "real" DL.

LEGO Architecture "World's Tallest" Custom Series
Gremer replied to Doctor Octoroc's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Could you try the Pyramid of Giza? It's tiny compared to modern buildings, but it was the tallest building in the world for nearly 4,000 years. -
I'm really liking the blast doors and the trench.
-
Personally, I like it because I have no other Hoth sets and, even though this is an amalgamation of sets, it's still cheaper than buying all of the sets on ebay or bricklink.Beyond those reasons, I think the blast door is very well designed and superior to the 2007 version, and the trench is the best version yet. The Ion Cannon isn't perfect, but it's recognizable and doesn't look too bad. I am kinda disappointed that a quarter of the shield generator is missing, but it looks good beyond that. There are quite a few things I dislike though. The Wampa cave is extraneous, and should have been it's own set. The snowspeeder isn't necessary at all, especially with the other one (which I have) being less than 2 years old, the other snowspeeder never appeared in the movie, and the e-web is a massive downgrade of a pretty good design. The price I think is fairy reasonable for what is in it, given the Wampa, tauntaun and all the new prints, and the PPP is pretty good.

I was disappointed by the surprising lack of albatross pictures. Beyond that, a great review of a boring set.

The snowspeeder came with 3. Dak, Luke, and a Snowtrooper.

As somebody mentioned a few pages back, the Ewok Vilage is worth more in most people's eyes because it had never been done before. It was completely new ground for LEGO. With this one, however, pretty much everything has been done before. The snowspeeder has been in 15,000 sets, give or take a couple thousand, the base doors were in 7666, the trench is an amalgamation of 7749 and 75014, and the Wampa Cave was in 8089. The only new things are the shield generator and the ion cannon.
-
They'll be out in the time-frame of May-July.
-
The biggest problem most people have is that 75%+ has already been released before. The Ewok Village was brand new, and had never been done before. That said, I prefer this set.
-
There might be, I can't tell.
-
Toryn Farr, Luke, K-3P0 and the R2 unit, I think.

Helpy Helperton- I like helping people by answering questions. I'm pretty sure it came from Stash2Sixx.

I actually like this set, unlike almost everyone. I only have two Hoth sets and neither are Echo Base, and this totally-not-a-super-pack is a great way to get everything I missed and more. Only thing I dislike is the inclusion of the Snowspeeder, as I have the 2014 one, but it's not surprising.

Thank you both. :) I was actually planning on picking up the summer X-Wing either way. I was kinda worried that the black X-Wing would be discontinued some time this year with the other X-Wing coming out. But since both of you agreed on the RTT, I think I'll get that for now and get the black-wing for my birthday in a month.
