    [MOD] AT-AT 75054

Okay, finally done! Here are some pictures of my version of the 75054 MOD. Many thanks to Maus for the inspiration and detailed pictures to make this possible. I couldn't be more satisfied. Why TLG doesn't produce a more detailed version like these is beyond me, but I'm glad there are plenty of Lego enthusiasts to make this happen (and plenty of light bley parts on Bricklink). 75054 MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr Check out the rest of the pictures at the new topic. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=112140

There are very detailed, step by step instructions available out on the web if you want to build your own. I did. And it turned really nice and it is completely "swooshable" after a few design changes of my own. IMG_2176 by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr

    [MOD] AT-AT 75054

Hi Maus! Hopefully you are still checking out the forum here. Like I said I've been modding my son's AT-AT to make it look like yours. The head is pretty much done and it looks so much better thanks to your help, but I can't figure out how the roof flattens out for the last two stud lengths. Also, how did you attach the bottom "trapezoid" shaped areas to the two main side panels at such a clean angle with no gaps??? Thanks again for any insight you can provide!

    [MOD] AT-AT 75054

Awesomely mods Maus! So awesome I started copying them on my sons AT-AT. I've got the front and sides of the head copied exactly as yours, but I'm wondering how you connect the sides to main head structure? It seems to be a multi-angle connection which is always difficult in Lego. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

2015 The LEGO Movie rumors and discussion

lyonfish created an awesome LDD version of the Octan Transport Ship a month or so ago and even shared the LDD file. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=103224&hl=%2Boctan+%2Bship I was thinking about attempting this build from TLM next. For me Batwing is done and Wyldstyle's Flying Super Cycle is done.

    (MOC) Wyldstyle's Flying Super Cycle

Thanks Zblj! The gear is a 3D printed version (http://www.shapeways.com/model/1900766/60z.html) of what a 60 tooth Lego gear might look like if one actually existed. In order to get a more accurate movie version of the flying super cycle I decided to go with a non-Lego part instead of using the 40 tooth gear which is available as a real Lego part.
  10. Great job! That is awesome! Would you be willing to share the LDD file?

MOC: "The Batwing" - A Lego Movie MOC

Hi axaday and welcome to the forum! I've searched up and down on Bricklink for any of the decals you mention and never had any luck finding even something remotely similar. It will definitely be a custom application. There is supposedly special label making paper you can use to print you own labels with a normal inkjet printer and cut out yourself. I'd love to have at least "The Batwing", the red "Danger" arrow and the "BAT2DBONE" label for the rear area. Let us know if you come up with anything. I managed to increase the strength of the wings so they are self supporting and the whole creation is "zoomable". The wings do sag down, but not much past the the same angle that it appears they do in the movie. All the extra support I hid below the wing. I added all those pictures to my flickr account. 12. Anyone know of a paint brand or type that matches the light bluish gray color closely? I've got a 3D printed part that is white and I would like to paint it light bluish gray. Thanks for any insight or advice!
  13. So, I was thinking about trying to recreate Wyldstyle's Flying Supercycle which is the vehicle the regular Supercycle converts into towards the end of the first Bad Cop chase scene. I started looking into this and it seems many of the same parts used with each vehicle except for two very important ones...the wings! The Flying super cycle appears to use a forward swept design and for the last several days I have been trying to identify these plates. I have had no luck thus far. Anyone else recognize these plates? I am at a loss. FlyingSuperCycle by mink66, on Flickr Flying Super Cycle by mink66, on Flickr Flying Super Cycle by mink66, on Flickr
  14. Great eye deraven! I think you are exactly right! I hadn't studied the Golden Instructions that hard yet. It's difficult to see, but it does appear like the wings are made in multiple pieces like Penkid11 shows. Thank you so much for all the helpful input everybody! Very much appreciated!
  15. Oh wow Penkid11! That is awesome! Can you tell what the part number is? I really need to get better at LDD. I've been all through Bricklink and Brickset and haven't been able to find it. Penkid11, or on second thought were you showing how it could have been made from the other more common colored parts?

At the point in the movie where Bad Cop is driving this car wasn't his Good Cop face erased off with the nail polish remover?

It's done! Thanks again to Brickmasta for reverse engineering this massive creation to begin with and then developing an awesome set of directions so others can more easily build this iconic vehicle from The Lego Movie! MOC: "The Batwing" - A Lego Movie MOC

My progress using Brickmasta's awesome instructions for building The Batwing from the Lego Movie. Had to make a few modifications, but now the wing structure is totally self supporting and the whole Batwing is completely "zoomable" even though I still need to finish the right side wing! Thanks again Brickmasta for providing such an awesome set of instructions! This creation is massive! I now understand why Lego will probably never make this into an official set! I've almost got the main fuselage done and it looks fantastic using your instructions! The completed fuselage is very strong and very "lego-like". I admit I was a little worried in the beginning, but now it is very solid. The instructions read just like real lego instructions. They have been great. I've only noticed 2 spots where the "pre-stage" piece count is off by 1. Also, I replaced (3) 2x10 plates with (1) 6x10 plate early in the fuselage construction to help make things a little more sturdy. The instructions have been well worth the 15 euro!

I still don't understand Lego's tendency to release new sets in January??? They miss out on the whole Christmas holiday shopping season.
  23. The Assassin Bug (a.k.a. Wheel Bug) most commonly have an elongated head with a distinct narrowed neck, long legs, and a prominent, segmented tube (rostrum) for feeding and defending itself. These predators use the long rostrum to inject a lethal saliva that liquefies the insides of the prey, which are then sucked out. The saliva contains enzymes that predigest the tissues they swallow. This process is generally referred to as extra-oral digestion. The saliva is commonly effective at killing prey substantially larger than the bug itself. A powerful Bug that strikes absolute fear into any Galaxy Squad Team member especially if caught alone out on the battle field. The Assassin Bug can make a quick meal out of any unsuspecting human, or store it in its purplue coccoon for later consumption or to bring back to the hive. Good luck humans...they will need it!
