That's unlikely but it'd be fabulous
-
It's Skull Grinder, not Destroyer. Destroyer is a mistranslation.
-
Unlikely, although that's an awesome idea.
-
What about "Skull Destroyer"?
-
I didn't expect HF to stick with the same characters for years either. (But they did, yes.)
-
That works well with Ninjago because the main part of the set isn't the character in almost every case. With CCBS, the character is the set. They might stick with the Toa for a few years, but not the series' entire run, methinks. :P Obviously people can make mistakes, so I wouldn't say to take everything he says as 100% accurate, but the information provided by Exo-6 (and Leewan as his proxy) has been reliable so far.

We call that one "Artistic License"
-
I don't think that the final set designs were bad or unfitting for the characters, but that'd certainly be cool.
-
I think you're correct. We know barely anything about them.
-
One thing to note, Scar - I think the "unspecified amount of time" when the Protectors were waiting spanned a long time. Like, several generations. :P
-
How many did they send you
-
I'm pretty sure it's common knowledge that Pohatu's voice is supposed to be Australian
-
That is a really good point, Kalhiki. I hadn't thought of the fact that they weren't the same ones - I guess I'm used to nigh infinite lifespans.
-
What if it's actually Mask Makers, plural, not Mask Maker? Could be Ekimu and Makuta fighting a larger villain. That'd also explain why the set refers to them by title rather than by name - Ekimu and Makuta vs. Skull Grinder seems too cumbersome to me.
-
And I'm pretty sure this is the wrong thread
-
Nope, no brown bones yet. (Except the shortest size as Leewan linked.) So many people finding sets in the western US... uh, someone let me know if you find anything near New Hampshire, I guess? :P
-
I'll see if my source can dig anything up. Haven't heard from them in a while, though.

Battle For The Golden Mask Competition: Discussion Thread
Chro replied to VBBN's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Congratulations to the winners. -
I was going to mention that the animated forms of the characters are all highly stylized, but for the most part the Toa are quite accurate. I guess the animators weren't satisfied with the LOSS set either. :P

Thank you! Thanks! I understand the complaint with the feet, I probably should've made then thinner and more armored.

"The wild guardian of Bo-Rela. Built by the Great Beings, similar to Umbra, with the task of defending a power node which lay beneath the jungles, unbeknownst to its inhabitants. Toriaze possesses a mysterious kinetic power which imbues his physical attacks with ridiculous force and speed, the activation of which is signified by a glow deep within the core of his body." imgur gallery (more photos) flickr gallery (higher quality) This is Toriaze. Fun build, I've gotta say. As it progressed, I didn't like the direction the build had taken, but was able to get it back on track and found something that I liked, which is the finished product you see before you. First time in a long time I've built a figure in lime, and first time I've ever integrated a Lego light brick into a MOC's torso. I personally am satisfied with the result. Toriaze is, among other things, my entry into the November BZPower flickr contest. Feedback is appreciated.

Not on this site, though it is allowed elsewhere.

Welcome! I agree, there were some nice callbacks. It's also nice to see that the CGI commercial actually shows off the sets more than the animated form does. The 2D animation is nice but I wouldn't want it to be used for the TV commercials too.

People are like "yay Pohatu is Australian!", and I'm not even Australian but I can tell that it's not very good
