FYI I do not WANT the figure to be Skad (mods were the worst part of Book of Boba) also you need Drash to go with Skad but everything is pointing towards it being Skad currently.

There's no real evidence its skad at all really. I'm finding the arguments for saw or ezra more convincing. Hoping for saw personally.

I would love to see the area in some form, but I don't think it would work at a UCS/MBS. The entire scene is a flat surface with some posts, with area seating around it. Maybe the full area could work as a microscale like the Colosseum, but I think the scene lends itself better to a $170ish set with just 1-2 posts and the three creatures, with 8-9 figures. I wonder if it's a situation where there is just too much consumer interest in spaceships, etc. to lend a flagship set to some (essentially) dinosaurs for Star Wars. The amount of new moulds that would be expected (whether needed or not), as well as the inevitable complaints that it didn't include what x consumer wanted may also be a turnoff:

The stands are too large to be included in a set effectively for less than $350 or so, but also too large to be anything other than a boring and incomplete build if they did do that (since they couldn't do the whole area "economically." The beasts would need new moulds (at least 1-2 each) to look best for a set that is kinda an experiment for the theme at the necessarily price point (no spaceships or duels - and even the last $50 duel did badly). There are 4 posts, each of which would be too repetitive to be attractive to a consumer, and if you built the ground around them, it would be flatter than 75334 (which is saying something). And inevitably people would complain that they didn't include this or that list of jedi that they wanted.

Exactly my feelings. I've never personally understood what people were after with the arena. It's certainly iconic, but not an interesting or reasonable build in my opinion.

Another difference is that in Rebels it's an ISD1 (with ISD2 turrets for some reason) while in Ahsoka it's fully an ISD2. Bit of a weird continuity error which doesn't matter too much but would affect some details on a LEGO set, beyond the obvious damage patches.

    It's a damaged ISD 1.

I’d imagine minifig scale wouldn’t be too unreasonable, considering the ghost is similar in size to the Falcon

The ghost is bigger than the falcon in all dimensions. And very much thicker. I doubt lego would risk a minifig scale version, the size, piece count and therefore cost would be prohibitive. I'd guess it'd cost a couple of hundred more than the falcon.

I wonder if the Tantive IV boarding diorama is actually the boarding scene from ANH? It could be the Profundity hallway scene from Rogue One as that would only need Vader plus 2-3 rebel fleet troopers. Given that sets around that 55€ pricepoint usually only have 3-4 minifigs, and the Tantive IV boarding would also have stormtroopers and possibly Captain Antilles as well as Vader and the rebel troopers.

You could feasibly do both in one set. A slight change of figs to swap out and a alternative quote included.

Says who? There’s nothing to suggest that 18+ sets take slots that would otherwise have gone to playsets. After all, there is no fixed number of sets every year, it constantly fluctuates. We still get plenty of playsets every year :classic:

Agreed. But, though I appreciate lego taking a swing and trying new things, there I the tangible sense this could have been something different. Why this and not something else? Even in reality it's likely more that if it wasn't this it would be an empty slot.

We all disagree over what should or shouldn't be a set. Or the value of any given set. But its rare that a set is so universally disliked, and that seems to be a growing thing when you look at recent marvel d2c sets.

It could fit good for a $400ish UCS set. Minifig scale would be ridiculous, but with about 3.5k pieces they could make it really nice and fleshed out.

Plus, Lego would likely feel more comfortable releasing it at that price point than just hanging it at $850+ when it's already a niched ship.

Oh I agree, I would love a larger fleshed out ghost, I was just going on the fact that usually lego either does minifig scale or oversized ucs sets (except capital ships obvs), and I'm never sure how many people realise how big the ghost is.

I do think Theed could work well, especially if the interior is split between the duel of the fates and the hanger/hallways. Be a nice way to get battle dress padme whilst still having a fairly desirable set (Though I think our next duel of the fates set will be a diorama)

I'd want the quote to just be "John Williams' battle of the fates'" its the most iconic thing from that scene - there's no real dialogue.

All jokes aside theed is such a beautiful location and we need more padme/amidala.

If it has slipped at all, it hasn't slipped much. The simple fact that you've never had this happen to you indicates this. I personally have never heard an example of someone getting a double bag and missing a part in one set before now. I don't reckon things like this happen any more often than they have in the past. I'd wait for us to see an obvious increase in things like this happening before I get concerned.

You may be right and perhaps my wording was unreasonable. I realise why I received a double bag. Its because another bag is missing.
