How right you are Kids play football, and some keep doing it as adults. Why is Lego different?

Yeah, I personally dislike football and most sports, and I don't watch too much TV. And why should Lego building be more of a mindless waste than spending hours in front of the TV? Building with Lego isn't much more of a waste than watching football or hockey matches. It's the same thing, a hobby.

In my opinion, Lego is way too creatively challenging to be considered "childish", especially Technic (to my taste). Yes, it's mostly aimed for kids, but what does it matter?
  4. Fair enough, but $400? It's a cool set, but anyone should see that it's not worth THAT much. I guess this seller doesn't give a damn.
  5. Yeah, sometimes painted in whatever color the vehicle has, or just steel gray. Personally I've only seen those counterweights painted. I think it looks good like it is, all yellow would be a bit boring.
  6. Yeah, I guess. Unfortunately. Well, even if I wanted to buy this set, I wouldn't pay such a "blood price" for it, as we say in Norway. Anyway, no matter how good something looks and works, there's a limit to what it's actually worth. I doubt there's very many people who wants to buy it for such a price.
  7. 8109 seem to overall be a good set for beams, it looks to have quite alot of them, both red and yellow and the more "standard" dark gray and black. And there's a fair amount of panels too, especially the dark gray 5x11.
  8. So it could be approx. $200 as regular price? In that case, this guy is ridiculous... it's like it's only about the profit.
  9. $400?? That sounds like an insult. 42009 is expensive in Norway, but even with approx. $280 it's not even close to this. 41999 can't possibly be that expensive when it comes for sale?
  10. Nice modifications, it really makes the crane look more "complete". I for one don't mind the battery box standing out, I think it fits the way it is.
  11. Agree, good review and good pics. Makes me the more eager to get my hands on this crane myself Sounds good - personally I build on a room in my apartment
  12. Well, if people get sick of the 41999, don't read this thread then. Simple as that. I say post whatever you want about the model in this thread, rm8 , that's what it's here for, right?
  13. I just converted the 42009 price, and it will cost like $ 320 here 42008 is around $ 185. I wish we had your prices

    Grader

This grader is amazing it's incredibly realistic and well done, great work
  15. Looking great, very realistic
  16. 9 axles? Holy F is it 6 or 8 of them that has steering?
  17. Personally I would prefer something like this instead of yet a new truck.
  18. I hope so, I'm eager to get my hands on 42009 I don't even now if I'm gonna buy it, I might just wait until parts like the new "Panel Curved 11 x 3 Type 2", "Axle 4 with Center Stop" and "Axle and Pin Connector Hub with 2 Axles" come for sale at Bricklink. There's alot of parts in the set that I want, but there's alot of parts I don't want or need as well, like gears and those 3/4 pins. So I dunno. It costs alot here, so it's that too.
  19. The price on the new 2H sets could be found on the Norwegian lego.com site until recently, and it was priced the same as the 9397 Logging Truck. 1099 Kroner, approximately $184. Compared to the price here it's not bad, if TRU doesn't price it lower as someone said they usually do.
  20. I don't like the face, it looks too different, but overall it's a great model. Good work
  21. Ah, now I see that there's a large hose.
  22. What in the world is that machine?
  23. I guess they can't start selling it earlier when TLG have put a certain date. Annoying, yes, but little we can do.
