  1. I understand your frustration, Sariel. I think most of us do understand that the plastic, molding and production has a certain cost, and TLG is a company who needs to make profit, or else there's no point to keep doing what they do. Some sets are a bit on the pricey side, like the Volvo loader when looking at the number of parts, but the PF stuff costs and therefore the set has the price it has. I gladly accept that the prices are what they are. If I want a set, I buy it. If I can't afford it at the moment, I can wait, or I can just BrickLink whatever parts I need to build it with the parts I already have. I understand that TLG's prices might be too much for some people, but the prices probably are what they need to be. As you said, TLG isn't a charity organization. They are a business and no matter what they do to give kids a fun time building, they can't give away the sets they make.

I think CGI-Tarkin worked surprisingly well. I've seen others say it doesn't look 100% authentic, but I think it's by far good enough to make it seem realistic.

What was the last movie you watched?

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Thursday night, 2nd showing in my town.

Just came back from watching the movie. It has some slow parts that are more average, but overall quite a good movie. The things I love:

    Star Wars

I haven't thought much about it, my guess is the same as yours, that it was Dooku in secrecy.
  6. I guess they put fast extension first for the reach stacker, so one doesn't have to turn a worm gear for maybe 10 sec to go from retracted to extended, seeing as it's a set and has a truck with trailer and containers along with the reach stacker. Faster movement for playability instead of perhaps a better boom setup.
  7. I'm pretty sure it's standard (42008) green.

I have tickets for myself and 2 coworkers for Rogue One on Thursday night, 2nd showing in my town. Can't wait!
  9. Mostly it works just fine for me if I move several pages, e.g. with the ">>" button, and if I go to the next page by replacing the page number in the URL, I have no problems. It's just the mentioned methods that gives me issues, almost every time. It rarely works like it's supposed to.
  10. Oh, I see it now, indeed it is fixed in place. My bad. It should be easily modified though, I'd think. Perhaps shock absorbers with soft springs could be used.
  11. Sounds like a good move with the added friction in addition to the compatibility with the double bevel gears.
  12. I'm having an annoying issue with the board since the change, or upgrade or whatever. When I go to the next page, whether in a thread or in the Technic section, whether I click the page number on the bottom, "next" or ">>" for last page, 9 of 10 times it doesn't work and I have to refresh the page to actually get to the next page. This happened as recently as just now, when I went to the last page in this thread. What's up with this? Is it just me having this issue? EDIT: this usually occurs both ways, "next/forward" as well as "previous/back", and moving 1 page f/b.
  13. Correct me if I'm wrong, but to me it looks like both 5L liftarms holding each bogie arm is attached at only 1 point in both ends, meaning it could/should have some degree of movement either way.
  14. A bit on the small side for my personal taste, but cool little model anyways.
  15. Good job, it looks good for the limited range of parts and colors.
  16. Really cool braiding machine, this is the kind of stuff I would never even think of trying to make.

    What did you buy today?

I purchased 42054 Claas Xerion 5000 Trac VC last Sunday and received it on Friday.
  18. Cool bulldozer. I thought the rear was the front due to the shape until I realized it's the other way
  19. Very nice backhoe model there Lipko I think the digger arm looks too narrow on the narrow parts, but overall this model looks really good.
  20. I'm just asking here since this topic is issue related: I built my Xerion last night to the point of finishing the cabin, and after attaching it and testing the motorized cabin turning now, I find that when the cabin turning function with the driving ring is in neutral/middle position, I can still turn the cabin by hand without any resistance. To lock the cabin somewhat in place I have to set the selector in the up or down position, but then it will be activated automatically if I accidentally turn the battery box on. I don't have any issue with this, but is it supposed to be like that? I feel like it kinda defeats the whole purpose of having the cabin turning motorized.
  21. I've just got a copy in my hands as well. Let the build begin!
  22. After reading about this, I checked the 5 CV-joints in my BWE when I started disassembling it yesterday and they're all normal.
