Matt clear plastic, yes. And yes, the clear panel is introduced in the BMW bike. -

I believe someone mentioned that the clear plastic in this curved panel has an outer surface that is slightly "grainy" (don't remember their wording). I don't know why that is though. -
I guess it comes down to how well they (potentially) could manage to change things in Ep 8 if they need to in order to write Leia out in a "good" way. I do hope they wrote and shot a scene for Ep 8 where Leia and Luke reunites, I would like to see that, although there's nothing to do about it if they planned that for Ep 9 and didn't shoot such a scene yet.

Technic 2017 Set Discussion

Seeing as 42051 was cancelled and we're now getting another fire truck related set in 42068, it seems logical to assume this is a reworked version of 42051. As there's no pics of it yet, it remains to see if it has any resemblance to the cancelled set. It's gonna be interesting to see. -
Perhaps they will write Ep 9 in a way that has Kylo reaching the point where he finally understands why his grandfather did what he did and returned to the light side of the Force. Speaking of writing, I'm curious of how they will handle Carrie Fisher's death. Since the filming of Ep 8 was wrapped in July, I think they will either make some reshoots/editing if they decide to have Leia die in Ep 8 (if they didn't already do that) or write in an accident or attack that kills her in the beginning of Ep 9.

There is one minor inconsistency I have noticed. In ANH when confronting Leia after boarding the Tantive IV, Vader says that "several transmissions were beamed to this ship", but in Rogue One it was only one transmission and it was beamed to (or at least received by) Admiral Raddus' command ship, which had the Tantive IV held in place in its underside. This is not a major inconsistency and it doesn't bother me personally.

I agree with the FB post. I enjoyed hearing Diego Luna with his actual accent.

I wouldn't mind a few more Vader scenes, but I think he was used well, considering this movie is about the rebel group stealing the Death Star plans and not about Vader. I find the continuity having been done well, as I now get the feeling that Vader primarily just went in at the end to recover the stolen plans we see him go after in ANH.

Or perhaps Tarkin chose to destroy the Scarif base to prevent the rebellion from accessing the archives and discover any potential secrets they could use against the empire, after the Hammerhead corvette pushed the two Star Destroyers into the gate of the shield that protected the planet and destroyed it. As far as I could see, the base would be vulnerable without the shield to protect it.

I don't remember too well which color the Mustafar sky had in Ep3, I just remember the lava and stuff.

I agree that they should have had just the name Mustafar flashing, but it's not a big deal for me. I think anyone who is a fan of Star Wars figured out it was Mustafar without too much trouble anyway.
