  1. Wow, it's awesome so far! I love the joystick controls, and it's amazing that it's all built in LDD; in my opinion, something (especially Technic) built in LDD is a million times harder than in real life, and you accomplished it! TLH

What was the last movie you watched?

I saw the Anohana movie yesterday. I wasn't so hyped about it as the Madoka Magica movie; however, it was pretty good, despite quite a bit of reused footage from the anime. And I got a free poster TLH
  3. But if that were true, wouldn't they not pop in as easily as you think? Remember, LEGO's main target audience is kids. TLH
  4. Thank you for designing this, nicjasno! Looks like a lot of work went into the design, and the use of the 8880 hubs is awesome. But I think you'll have a problem of the ball-joints popping out. TLH

    Your '2buy' list of 2014

I just got my Getaway Glider. Now I'm done buying sets for this year... TLH
  6. Just contact LEGO Customer Service- unfortunately you got a faulty servo motor. It actually might not be a faulty servo motor- like JM1971 said, you should probably check the batteries, etc. first. TLH
  7. I think it's great! No need to bump this topic though. TLH
  8. Wow, Blakbird, your digital building skills are unrivaled! I can't possibly imagine how you have built even this much.. I wonder if it qualifies as a SHIP...
  9. Maybe a bit big, but it looks cool and it works well! But it uses custom parts... TLH

Changing themes. Who has done it?

I'm planning on changing themes this year- when I get time to sort all my LEGO, I'm going to ditch TECHNIC too and go into Castle and Sci-Fi building. I don't think it's that weird, but I think you might want to continue with TECHNIC; your MOCs are getting better and better, and I wouldn't want that to go to waste. TLH
  11. I own one, but unfortunately it's cracked. It doesn't reduce clutch power or stop the joint from working, but I think it might affect the tests TLH
  12. Precisely. Personally, I would love to see 4 XL motors per wheel thingy- that's 16 XL motors! That would be an EXTREME off-roader. TLH
  13. How do I order parts from CS? Do I have to call, or is it a certain section of the website? Just got a gift card for S@H TLH
  14. :cry_sad: And that's why everyone loves eBay. I hope you get a refund or something... TLH
  15. Unfortunately, however awesome that idea may be, I don't think it will work; you would need an electrical slip ring that doesn't exist yet in LEGO. TLH
  16. Yeah, that always bugged me, too. I tried to build a TARDIS with a light brick in it once, and I had the exact same problem. Hope you find a solution, I will also try to figure something out with more common parts. TLH
  17. How about just gears, like on a tandem axle? I think zblj used that on something of his.
  18. Wow, awesome job adapting it to LDD! Sorry I didn't get better pictures. To answer your questions: -Yes, the 5M Lever is just a reinforcement. -The only inaccuracy (and I don't blame you for it) is the lime green 2M lever is supposed to be a 3M lever with the following pin/axle holes: + o + It should connect then. The blue axle should then go through the pin hole with a half bush behind it. -Precisely. -You are right- the 14 tooth gear is just a spacer. It is just under a 1/2 of a stud wide, and because of the angular displacement of the light green liftarm, I used that. Unfortunately it doesn't work with a normal half bush. -Again, sorry about the pictures, it's for reinforcement with some technic bricks- it's actually the 2M pin with stop bush. The 2L pin part is pushed through 2 bricks. -Yes, it's the same part. I really appreciate your hard work adapting it from my crappy pictures, and you did an awesome job managing to figure out how it works from just the pics. Thank you, and I hope for the best! TLH
  19. Yep, it's a little bit stronger. I think they can handle a little more torque than the 3L ones, and the advantage is that their ends have quite a bit of clutch power and they would have to take a lot of torque to snap (about 5 or 6 of my 3L ones are split at the ends and are unusable). I don't have any specific torque info though, maybe someone like Philo could help? TLH
  20. Have you tried the one I made? It's already reinforced, I've used it at least 20-30 times only held by one hand, and it still stays together. Good luck, TLH
  21. I would love to see the return of Vikings, those sets were great. One thing I would want even more would be the King's Castle- in yellow. Damn, that would be beautiful. With brick-built horses using the pony-ear technique..... TLH

  23. I finished it! Here it is: View from the other side: Lit up: It fits in a relatively small space, and can be completely covered with plates on the bottom: All the parts used are relatively common except the 1x5 liftarm and 14 gear. And yes, it does return to center. Hope that helps! TLH
  24. Do the bricks have to be in that exact layout? I'm sure I could think of something. TLH
