    CUUSOO LEGO® NASA SLCR

I agree that changing the colors for the rocks and baseplate is kind of cheap Also, the arms on the front (holding the front wheels) look kind of flimsy. That being said, the set looks fantastic! Although I think there were some better projects on Cuusoo, kudos to the Cuusoo group.
  2. How about the Space Needle? It seems perfect for building with Technic. And you can even motorize the rotation of the top part for added realism.
  3. Wow! That's huge. I think you'll need at least 10 pneumatic cylinders to lift that, maybe even something like Bricktrain used in his mobile crane: That's a lot of Technic.
  4. Oh. Well I guess I shouldn't have expected it to be all Lego... The engine is really great though, no non-Lego parts there.
  5. *oh2* Words can't describe this. 256 pneumatic cylinders...
  6. 8069 is pretty bad. The bucket tilting mechanism And on the subject of the Power Puller, don't forget about the steering
  7. Oh my god, it's adorable! Maybe I should try my hand at a mini flagship sometime. I wish Lego made sets like this...
  8. W O W, that looks awesome! I can't wait to see the final result!
  9. Wow, it's amazing what people are doing with the extremely limited parts in 42004! Awesome b-model!
  10. I think he's asking why the used version is more expensive than the new one. I've seen things like that on BL before, it really doesn't make any sense...
  11. Black parts are not my favorite. They just look more boring than even light bley, and are much harder to photograph, and as Lipko said, you can't see details very well. And about topics like this- while I agree that Alasdair's comment might have not been constructive, there are a bit too many topics like these lately...
  12. Awesome first MOC man! Welcome to Eurobricks. I really love how you incorporated advanced steering geometry on such a small scale, it really makes the model stand out.
  13. Could you post how you did this in the lego hydraulics thread? I'd like to see how you did it.

    What's your favourite lego part?

This topic really should be pinned. Shouldn't be any need to bump it at all.
  16. Wow, that's pretty cool! I actually thought about building something like that once, but never got around to it. I'm looking forward to the result.
  17. Ok, I get what you're saying now. I think I will try it as is first, and if it doesn't work, I will modify it Oh, and by as is I mean with some modifications I'll make soon to make it stronger.
  18. After way too long, I have decided to actually try to finalize something I have built. I decided to go with something nobody has ever done before with Lego, and this is what I have so far: <snip> Sorry, no pics in the OP, as to not scare people away with my horrendous start of my WIP... Anyway, it's a zero steer crawler. You can scroll down to post #4 to see the pics of the actual WIP as of now. The design uses four driveshafts for four functions: left wheel drive, right wheel drive, left wheel steering, and right wheel steering. In the middle, there will be a gearbox controlling the direction of the two steering outputs, with an M-motor to steer and a micromotor to shift the transmission rings. The design will be based off of Effe's direction reversing gearbox, but with fewer outputs. The whole vehicle will use 4 IR channels, two of which are occupied by the steering motor and gearbox-shifting motor. The other two will be used for the two driveshafts, one XL motor per channel per driveshaft, with a mechanism on the remote to switch from normal to skid steer drive. Of course, comments, criticism, etc. is greatly appreciated!
  19. I have used all five gears in the hub because without them, there is a lot of bump steer due to the pinhole in the center of the wheel as opposed to an axle hole. I'm not sure I get exactly what you're saying, where should I be putting the 12t gear?
  20. I thought of that, and it is a good option, besides two things - ground clearance as well as gear reduction as you have already stated. The vehicle has poor ground clearance with the current setup and even less with that.
  21. I guess. But I think I'll have to change the mounting points. I want as few u-joints as I can though, as the drive will transmitted through a total of 8 u-joints, and 12 if I used that. I will definitely consider it though!
  22. Ok, I'll try to fix that! But I don't want to make the ground clearance any lower, and it seems like I would need reinforcement on the top and bottom. :/ Well, I guess I'll try anyways. Oh wait, I see a solution. Will do that later.
  23. Oh, I guess you're right. But it's something very similar, I got them mixed up.
  24. Dat sword.... I will never question the moulding quality of Lego ever again. OK, maybe I will. But not for a while.
  25. You should enter this in the Technic Challenge! What's wrong with the steering? Is it just too fast?
