Why no supercar MOCs are designed with rims of 8448?
Technyk32231 replied to Kumbbl's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Oh. It just seemed weird, and I haven't done anything with circles since last year, since I'm in PreCalc now. -

Efferman's Custom Parts
Technyk32231 replied to efferman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Ive got another idea. Basically, imagine a 2L axle, but each 1L part of it can rotate independently of the other. I was thinking if using the tiny pin connection found in City wheels. -

Wow, very nice! The only way I've heard of these is from the Spin Tires game, and you did a great job capturing the looks of it while retaining good functionality. 15/10 -
Axle Collection Thread
Technyk32231 replied to efferman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Are you talking about the MAZ that comes with the game? You know, how the tech demo and the dev version both start out with the MAZ and UAZ? If it is that MAZ, you may have some other problems too, since the real life MAZ has leaf springs. -
Efferman's Custom Parts

There are two dads, one wife. :) It might be a better idea to use single parts, but this was just an idea. -
Steering idea for LEGO 76023 UCS TUMBLER
Technyk32231 replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Never. Not even the 8448 wheels pivot in the center, and I doubt that Lego would use advanced steering geometry like kingpin inclination or multiple steering links that have an imaginary pivot point. -
Efferman's Custom Parts
Technyk32231 replied to efferman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I meant like this: O--- The O would fit over a regular lego ball joint, and the --- are threads. You would have one on each end of the link and a threaded standoff attaching them, like this: O-=====-O, where the ===== is the standoff. -
