Instructions gone from LEGO website?
Fallenangel replied to Fallenangel's topic in General LEGO Discussion
...And they're back! Very odd. For a second I was afraid that The LEGO Group was no longer providing instructions for all of their old sets. -
I'll be looking forward to it, then. Until then...

Brickdoctor is correct. Red Two was originally designated as Blue Leader and painted as such before the change. I don't know whether A-wings were ever intended to be green, though (and in any case the studio model containing Arvel's miniature is red).
-
I would really like to know why people are so set on bumping threads in Watto's Junkyard like this.
-
The wings of the X-wings in that scene were motorized, so a truly smooth and automated transition would take some heavy modding. Fortunately, there exist simpler solutions for less ambitious MOCers. As far as toys go, one would expect a quick and simple S-foil mechanism more suitable for play than a slow, messy one.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Fallenangel replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The two limited edition sets for 2012, perhaps? Though a 'Mandalorian Fighter' doesn't sound too interesting (unless it's something like a basilisk war droid, which seems unlikely). Isn't Palpatine's lightsaber mostly silver? And in any case, I'm confident that enough of us would be satisfied with simply bringing back the chrome hilts. -
I would say that's an improvement. The worm gear system on 4502 is clunky and sluggish in comparison to the spring-loaded mechanisms on Hasbro X-wings.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors

Do we? I had been under the impression that standard white clones weren't as abundantly found in sets as wished. I do think we've had quite enough ARCs and other 'named' clones, but not as many 'generic' clones, nor pilots/captains/commanders. Correct me if I'm wrong. -
ASN-121.

Tim, as in... former FBTB staff Tim? Welcome to Eurobricks! I wasn't a member of the old forums, but I was an avid reader and loved the quality of the creations posted there.

EDIT: Thanks for the clarification, smokebelch. -
While we're still on the issue of accuracy, I think the engine bank could use some work. If I remember correctly, the Endar Spire has four thrusters rather than three. The bow could use more red as well.
-
If the thrust nozzles were built as rings of plates, one could attach these to these. That's the best solution I can think of at the moment. Brickdoctor's usually much better with these kinds of things...

Is that R2 unit in the background made with unmodified parts? Oh, right. I always thought the guy at 0:33 was Zuckuss. What, then... Which is odd considering they could just give us clones... -
The improvement is subtle, but I like it. It’s a good approximation of where the housings should be, and the crucial shapes are definitely there. I also see that you’ve added even more greeble, which is nice as well. Have you considered alternatives to the 10-wide tires for the primary engines? Perhaps something that flares a bit more…
-
Looking at it again, I think it may be a tad thick where it hinges. Slimming it down in accordance with the pictures I've provided would also allow you to build up the blister under it as I've said. As for the interior of the Sheathipede, unless a canon depiction exists (and I don't know of any) you can more or less build it as you see fit.
-
I like that last shot. You've effectively retained the colors and details of even the underside, escape pods and all. (With the exception of the two orange rectangles, of course, but I suppose that's understandable... )

Why, has it happened before? -
The window is still grey, Doc.
-
Well, at least the bumper made a solid post. I don't know what he means by a more accurate vehicle, though. As I've been saying since we first saw pictures of the new battlepack, the AV-7 is just pathetic. More interesting than your usual turret or speeder bike, perhaps, but disappointing nonetheless. And for the record, I liked the megaphone blasters.
-
Just pop the legs off and cover up the gaps with tiles. I don't see why everyone keeps mentioning this...
-
I would really like to know why people keep bumping old customs in this forum. It's getting rather irksome.
-
Those are some great improvements you've made. The rear is much nicer now. I like the last solution for the bumps as well. I would keep the current height. I think that the blister under the cannon could instead be a bit more pronounced, such that it appears to hold up the cannon.
